Notice To The Public A serious reflection upon the importance of the Dallas Express which may appear in the corporation of the publisher, corrected upon its being brought to the attention of the pub- lisher at Post office at Dallas, Texas. Act of Congress, March 1, 1879 has never missed the white foather, mother and has it disgrace by the yellow streak. It is not a new story, but it is a new difficulty. It is a plow, easy day, double, coaxation wedge, which rinsen so nail to cushion a plowing leg. It is stiffness, not aesthetics, at hand, as nail mourn. Its love story, its history, its twirl, its twirl occupied by the human face. This is pretty hard to recognize. Boys of the past come on and stand with us. The ground is flat. W. K. EING AN ASSOCIATION WHICH HAS JUSTIFIED ITS EXISTENCE OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS THE NEW BOND ISSUE According to dispatches of the last few days, The Board of Education has asked the city to look for another bond donor on the improvement of the schools of the city. But how much of the amount requested by the city for the improvement of Negra schools was not stated in fact no information was made. But there is everyone, the city, that the selection of Dallas should be divided in—behalf of their children and adults—because the things needed by them, receive attention while that attention can bring relief. Dallas, different in many ways from the southern Ohio city, has a Negra school in its Negro district in the way of schools and in other ways. It stated, in fact, no statement as to improvement of North schools was made, but there is every reason that options of Dallas should be considered. North schools have stood in need of for many years. It has remedied an eyewake and removed an evidence of our public negligence which for many years has convicted us in Dallas of being sadly lacking in the essentials of civic uprightness, while that attention can bring relief. Dallas, different in many ways from the average Southern City, has always made fair provision for its North gilts born in the South. It has never yet been necessary for the reason that there was the fear that the North gilts entered the benefit and improvement areas and would be by reason of the fact that there has always been improvement in San Antonio. In the suggestions of worthwhile improvements for the group at such times the instant application procedure must be applied. Application must be required for our schools and they are many. There are only two institutions in the whole city and one of them. The Darrell School has been used in need of being replaced by another more modern and safe. It is also used in need of being replaced by another and there no more room available. At least two more schools are needed to the portions of the city in which children are forced to come from the neighborhood to be a grade school in the neighborhood of the atio of the Washington High School, and an additional school would be a care school of all of the children. The districtuser the river at the Place and Queen City Schools, the movement for three school districts, would be into by all of the agencies of the city, would probably help if more people were to come to live close and give organizations could be presented to the board thus showing that all of the means of the city are worth of the. Those who live in glass homes should not throw stones. Likewise, those who have never done anything worthwhile should be careful about their criticism of others who are trying to accomplish something. --- THE DALLAS EXPRESS, DALLAS, TEXAS, SATURDAY, JANUARY 17, 1925 For The Woman Who Cares. ```markdown ``` Sheep are humble, slothless, lignous animals and that is about the only way we can think of them in terms of their nature. A lone wolf can go to a crowd of them and find a break in the ranks and scrape, making it advantageous for the wolf to fall his prey. The ram can know how to hurt with terrific force and know how to hook with his horns to just one the whole bunch of sheep our herders. It will still suck up or organize to satisfy their advantages and their disadvantages not to fight with us and press and to promote understand- and good will and followship, and to win. That such a play should have been staged in the South will be provocative of much good for the reason that never before has it happened that the whole iniquity of the practice has been so vividly placed within reach of the general public as it now happens. It took courage to stage it. As much can be gathered from the aplausio which says that the heartiness of the apopause from the lower floor of the theatre was made very evident by the lack of it in the gallery. For The Woman THE JOCKEY SWEATER CATCHES THE EYE Thinking Negroes should be thankful for the fact that it is being shown, and that same sentiment should find echo in the hearts of all Americans who realize what a dunningly powerful force they are. The play has genuine dramatic merit. That probably is the reason for its production for the benefit of the general public. But there can be—no doubt but that it's stronger appeal lies in the jesson which it tells. It is a powerful story, which the commission of lynchings brings to communities and the individuals who participate in it. In speaking of lynching the mother of Ed says: "How men have got the heart I never could tell. It don't seem right, and again, "Oh." He makes out how Christian men can do what you heard tell tonight." No, and neither can any person who has a spark of fairness in his heart who thoughtfully witnesses a performance of "Mudge Lynch." Americans would be highly impressed given the power and the town and hamlet. In it they are in its southern portion. To begin at the beginning, award a certificate of recognition to Prince of Wales, who was repeatedly responsible for this Crown trust who was the constant companion in Fea No person who passed by the Woodlawn Cemetery last year and again during the past few weeks could help but be pleasantly impressed with the improvement which is visible in the new building. The new building offers several ways laid out and now a fence to enclose the "whole cemetery is in process of construction. All of this improvement has been done through the agency of The Woodlawn Cemetery Association and it has been added in its work by the staff of the office. The yearly financial report last week through the column of this paper and gave public accounting for all of the money spent as well as for all that is left on hand. The report showed that the association had collected $1368.11 and spent $1208.00 on the $1200.00 its budget for the present year is in hand. Short Sleeves Diappear Helps For Housekeepers When wiping skin in the afternoon, apply a dehydrating saline drug a little bit of red marmerry lily tails each time. Mix myristic acetone and flavor TEACHERS OF DALLAS AND THE STATE ASSOCIATION hope on every hand that that beginning will be followed by action that it calculated to increase it as time goes on. seemingly some of that spirit is acturing the teachers of Dallas who have formed themselves into an organization for the purpose of getting fully behind the program adopted at the beginning of the year. A large percent in registration at the coming meeting of the association and to do their registration early. That decision was reached when it became known that it was the purpose of the State association to encourage early registration instead of waiting for the convening of the meeting for such QUESTIONS ABOUT IN NEGRO Questions interesting to if of general interest to the subject of the subject by the tracker in this co- mission or the subject personally answered, auth- erally, by the subject communications to George States News Bureau. Conveyed, 1054 It is easy to see that the formation of such bodies in all of the larger cities of the state would result in much impetus to the program of the association especially as it relates to the collection of membership fees. The new goal of the organization is to increase the number of year's registration was the largest ever recorded, there were less than a thousand who registered in San Antonio. But if it could happen that the teachers of every city would see their way clear to form such bodies, registration in the State of Texas would be much easier. The effect on those of other cities with whom they came in contact would be most favorable. There are more than 5,000 Negro teachers in the state of Texas. Each of them is a possible member of the State Association. They all must be reached and shown the necessity of adding their strength to the program. The success of the enclivity in service is the cause of Negro education in the state. It should happen that all of the plans of the association be carried to successful achievement, and that it become the force for good in the determination of the progress of the community that it should. It will do this only as it gains in strength. If what nationality was Abraham's mother of King Solomon, and the mother of Moses, were Jews, people could stably mixed. The illustrations have have have have, colored black. Jaws was common. In the Song of Moses was common. He called himself black. We know of no description of him. The early Christians and church could be supplying if Peter were so. In the organization of the teachers of Dallas, the Express feels that a forward step has been taken in the direction of increasing the usefulness to the cause of education. It could hope that other cities would go as far in guaranteeing their unqualified support to the newly adopted program of the State Administration that can more highly beneficial in the future than can now be told. THE GREATEST OF ALL LOVE STORIES—THE GREATEST DRAMA OF ALL AGES—SUCH IS "AFTER SIX DAYS," NOW SHOWING AT GRAND CENTRAL THEATRE "...we have been on one book modes and costumes of Biblical ever written that is in perfect mastery times." The production took five days, including the dedication or rebuilding. That book has had the greatest sale of any volleyball book, for a picture number more than two million copies, no reprints to be paid its authors by a motion picture picture producer. That book has been carried out by eleven directors together with the men who carried out all time, harrens the greatest drama of the age, and the men who carried out more than twenty cameras were entering enough to envisage its future. The production was made from all the big books from the plibbe the Old Testament. Designed by its greatness its impossibility. The interior settings are the highest value. The Old Testament has VI months been untouched here by the art, the painter some builders, mannequin, costume, beautiful, worth while paintings. The actual ground made by the artist is shown at the Grand Central Theater. The production is transported to Jerusalem, where all the splendid drama and inimitable scenes have been shown. Their transportation alone, each of them has been snow-brown, is a stupefied item. It is fitted as backgrounds for the interior in every detail. The research effort was made to accurately represent the masters and many assistants. LADOCIA — Little Miss Mia Owens and her husband out of action and new mason, E. M. M.
