Mahwville, Tennessee, Dec. 14. The State of Tennessee wants no more outbreaks of licking and noodle stands and ready to do all in its power to prevent them, according to an open letter to sheriffs and attorneys general issued by Governor Harry H. Governor power in an emergency to call into service such police officers of the state as in his opinion are necessary to suppress such acts of abused violence. Governor Hillebrand carries the county officers that his office is at all times interested in keeping peace and good order in all the counties and has had the local authorities brought to such and open the request of local authorities or notice of such outbreaks. In conclusion the Governor statement of the state should be maintained at all hazards.
After the recent licking in Mavoy County, the stateiment is taken as an outgrowth of that occurrence, which it is said to have had the local authorities brought the matter promptly to the attention of the Governor or taken other Hillebrand statement is clearly in line with the policy of his predecessor, Governor Austin Peay, who took a viewous action for the prevention of noodle violence. When waited on by a delegation from the Tennessee State University, Senator elect South and Senator Varee Varee, in the United States Senate, declaring that they might get a precedent to bar themselves from Noyau are kept from violation.

Dallas Nigrove have the proper agent when approached in the case of an investigation evidenced by the case, with which the word "investigation" is used, the report requires of the many organizations and individuals who were represented in the case that the report indicates that the duty of the duty which develohed on the move able of the citizens in compliance to the law is the fortune
The Supreme commandes the work of the work and well as all of the workers and命令 for this very apprehension two years it had the hope that the movement might begin to which would be taken to mean that it had become a part of the government for the general public in the process of the construction to the extent to the extent to which the government had been involved will all alike abrogate permission that it be allowed to work on these areas of the land of the proper buildings, addresses which would be more directly than ever more involved and would be known as agencies for good than the ones are used for this purpose of this movement an answer to which it is consternation.
In some cases that also may be encountered, with the need for further investigation, the investigators should have the authority to investigate the nature of the crime, especially in cases where the investigation is not conducted by the police department. The investigator must then be a certain part of the investigating and may then be called upon to provide further information. The investigator must also be aware of the nature of the crime and the circumstances surrounding it.
IT SELDOM EVER happens that the news of such happenings as were reported from one of the Misissippi conference of Bishop Carey ever get into print; usually if there has been such a thing as fraud among the members of the ministry, the matter is hushed up and there is little said about the occurrence. But this case was different. Two presiding elders who were acting as tellers during the election of the delegates to the general conference of The A. M. F. Church were detected while cheating for their favorite candidate. They were summarily dismissed and the bishop made a public statement in regard to the affair. The two men were taken down from the rank of elder and forced publicly to make statements before the convention.
Do such things happen often in such conventions now or is this just a single and an isolated instance? Were these two presiding elders exceptions to the general rule or are there many others of their kind whose cheating does not get into the public press and their deeds into the public eye? All of such questions naturally arise in the consideration of this very unusual news dispatch and more than a few parishioners are among those who are thinking such things. It is probable that in this connection they think of many other rather suspicious circumstances in which honors, coveted by some who appeared the more worthy and popular were accrued by others and they wonder just how widespread is the tendency among ministers, to win place by fair means or foul.
The test may not be generally known to the leaders of the church or that they may feel that the criticism will not be able to reach them; but it certainly is true that much of the general public has the idea that in matters of this sort, their desire for place and power are allowed to overrun the dictates of fairness and strictly Christian dealing and they are judged accordingly. Stories of politicallicking both before and after general conferences have leaked out and they involve some of the best in the land. They hurt the church which, like all other human agencies, must live to a certain extent at least, on the reputation of those who head it. And those who have its best interest at heart must at some time or the other face the facts in regard to it and realise that it is, as in all other agencies for the betterment of human-kind, the type of leadership to be had will largely determine whether it succeeds largely or fails
AN EQUAL WAGE FOR NEGRO LABOR
Secretary of Labor Davis in his recent report to Congress has bid the courage to say, what other influential leaders of political thought have not had the audacity to say if they thought it. He has actually gone on record as desiring an equal wage for Negro workers and as urging for them the same chances for promotion and advancement in their chosen lines of endeavor in the American fabric receive. He says in part: "There is no such thing as segregating the economics of the Negro from those of any other group in America. It follows that it is to the interest of all, both employers and employees, to encourage the Negro group to continue in its advancement in home life, in education, and in its respect for and loyalty to American practices and ideals. This means that it will be but just and fair to give the Negro worker an equal wage for his labor, and the permanent hope for promotion and advancement commensurate with the training, efficiency and skill which he puts into his labor. He will thus become capable of contributing a real share toward increasing our prosperity and wealth as a nation."
These are welcome words, even if just *words*; and they come from a source and are delivered to a body which should take cognizance of the very fundamental principle of economics involved in them. It is literally true that the present poverty stricken status of many of the sections of the north are due in large part to the unwillingness of southern white people who have had the labor situation in charge to unanticipate that the economic submere of any group has the double effect or reckoning on those responsible for it at the same time that it renders weak and unproductive the group on which it is forced. Up until now, a sentiment has prevailed to the effect that it would not do to have a preoperative and productive Negro working group; and the examination of the average city in which Negroes live in large numbers will prove that there has been a studied attempt to force the members of the race into the labor force. This has been the more productive avenues of endeavour, to hold them back from worthy won promotions and force them to work for wages far lower than those of white men in the same work. And along with this same situation has gone the four of those white employers of farther minds of a public sentiment which would have made them pay in quite large sums. It has been proven that have deserved promotion or larger pay. It has actually been proven that there have been many Negroes who have held responsible positions with large firms with the wages of workers and the duties of minor executives. There are still other instances on record in which Negroes have been moved to a prejudice which does not welcome to themselves.
Fundamentally Secretary Daisy is entirely correct. There can be no successful separation of the economies of Nigroes from other groups in America. She is entitled to an equal wage for the same days work as are others. The realization of the truth of this foot and an imitation to bring the abstraction to pages of which she speaks. But there is little reason to fear that that day is to be held in its appearance or that his general group of employes or employees will be each appointed. "Employees will only be directly employed with which the importance of the employment of which he makes an impression on the public is fundamental." And this principle will not down except as most generally are breached to a larger knowledge of the real and basic principle which governs society as a whole. The no-encumulation of this state of mind will follow the improvement of small city and rural school systems and the improvement of rural and urban schools. The freedom on plantation and large estate. It comes upon themselves by this country as we know it. But neither it permits or does not there have been the growth and development of the country. Funded good and benefited by it.

the department's work in education in it. It is very interesting to note and to appreciate of Dallas. The committee excuses it to be able to say, that Dean Harry was the first president of the department, and dedicates in the fact that so lately was done by way of improving the department's work with an expenditure of the 2,000,000. It is also excused by reason of the fact that it has appeared for "modern school" and appealed for "modern school" in education. It is known at Stanford University. Collegial school fittings, and large classrooms. The full text is, that the department is done tremendously good work in the South, as well as in the North.
