Brothers Wounded In Pistol Duel
Pedestrians run for cover when a敲 broke out between two brothers, and Arthur and John Rusk shot it out on Pennsylvania avenue Station. The trouble started when John Rusk, who conducts a lunch room at 586 Baker street came to the lunch room to his brother, Arthur in the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue for a argument. John was under the influence of liquor, is said to have been rejected from the place. He then drew a revolver and began to fire stattering a large $g how window in front of the establishment. HOT IT OUT
Arthur is then said to have taken a revolver from his rear of the room and returned the $e fire, during the mace, he received a bullet wound in the face. He left the Colonial Hospital for treatment. John made his escape at the time but was later arrested when he applied at University Hospital for treatment for a wound below his left knee. He was arrested at the northwestern Police Station where they were held for a haring Monday. John drew a fire $f of $100 for assaulting and shooting Arthur and was accessed by a carrying a deadly weapon. Arthur was dismissed. He was represented by attorney Daniel Baymum.

Tenororoon Singers Render Concert
The main trio of the Tenoroon Jubilee singers were present at the Usher's Union memorial service, at Asbury Church Sunday evening at 3 o'clock and rendered several selections.
First number, "Crying Holy" was highly enjoyed, and so much so that after a lengthy applause, they responded by singing "Somebody's Always Talking About Me." which also was highly appended. The wife was Mr. William Coulson, Dr. Wm. H. Hill and little George Keone. They will appear at the Centennial M. E. Church Sunday, October 4th at 5 p.m., for the Reddick Chapter Epworth League.

HEARD AND SEEN IN BALTIMORE RALPH MATTHEWS.
Latest reports from Paris say that beggars of that city have formed a union by which they pledge themselves not to receive small donations.
That is hardly a new idea because Baltimore beggars have been putting that in practice for some time. It is a common occurrence to have a deaf and dumb man to hall you out for only giving him a dime.

An armless man got so angry the other day when a guy gave him a pickle that he gave him a sound thrashing.
Of course this wasn't half as bad as the one leg man who claused a man five blocks because he wanted change from his quarter.

You don't have to be your brother's keeper. You just have to take care of his wife and children and the old man can shift for himself.
It's getting so that when you give a beegar fifty cents he will make you sign a permissory note for the other half dollar.
If you don't pay up soon he will serve an attachment and take your kitchen stove.
One beggar carried so much he rode to work in a toad cath. "That's going the "Beggar On Horse Back" one better.
He had to charge more than others because they raised the price of gas. He told one lady that he would like to take the dime she offered him but he couldn't afford it.

In reply to the question, "Where is the new school, project 10, to be placed?" we present the above diagram from the Urban League's survey of the Lung Block. The site faces Preston Street, extending from Walnut Street to 573 Preston. There are five old houses between the site and Pear Alley. The entire plot is 412 feet long and 110 feet wide but the school will allow for the widening of Preston Street, making this street as wide in this block as it is before crossing Druid Hill Avenue. The school is to be constructed in three units of which this is the first. This unit, including lot, building, and equipment, will cost a half-million dollars.
This diagram will also give an idea of the curious network of alleys and streets in this one block. There are 285 houses held by Negro tenants facing on these narrow streets.

NOTED INDIAN DR. DISCOVERS PREPARATION THAT GROWS HAIR TWO INCHES LONGER IN TWO MONTHS
Willing to Give Free Samples to All Readers of This Paper to Prove Merits of His Discovery
Several years ago, in Gold Valley, Cal., two boys were playing a game of rock battle, and the teacher asked them to prove Merits of His Discovery. G. Ireland (the founder of the World Famous Blood medicine, Herius of Life) was called in to dress the wound and found that the skull and concession of the brain.
Dr. Delano started in on his new case with a determination to bring about satisfactory results. He was a patient of a curably patient who was not only completely cured but her hair over the bruised spot had grown to such a remarkable degree that it aroused the curiously patient and be a philosopher, as much so, that the doctor questioned her as to what was it that she had been using on her hair during the treatment. Her reply was that she had only been using the ointment prescribed by the doctor.
With the given information, the doctor started straightway into deep research to find out more about the treatment and its connections with the roots of the hair and after experimenting for twenty-seven months, Dr. Delano announced that he had discovered a certain herb, which, when macinated with certain chemicals, and mixed together with pure Coca-Cola and California Pine Tar, would produce a healthy, luxurious growth of hair.
After finding that the experiment had proved successful in plenty-nine out of one hundred cases, Dr. Delano placed his preparation on the market under the name of Dr. Delano's Coca-Cola hair grower. From that day until the present time the sale has been of phenomenal and uninterrupted success.
In Dr. Delano's research, he discovered that falling hair was due to simple infection (Sebum), and that hair roots very seldom die. Removal the infected Sebum and the hair will grow—for science has shown that under, most bald scales the hair roots live.
Dr. Delano so confident that his Coca-Cola hair grower is superior to any other on the market, that he has decided to give a free sample to every reader of this paper who will send his or her name and address to Dept. of the HERBS OF LIFE INDIAN MEDICINE.
