tributed to the winning of the war fifteen hundred of its graduates and students. One-half of all the physician, dentist, dentist, troopers and troops were graduates of Meharyan Medical. Some attained the high rank of the medical graduates, the remaining medical graduates, to say nothing of others from the literary departments of the institutions, were first and second. This great Society now feels that composition will win the war for composition, and that further to co-operate with leaders North and South in riding fair America, will disrespect for law. Accordingly, the following Memorial to the Congress of the United States was recently

The board passed the following resolution: "Resolved, that the board has heard, with interest the position of the Colored principals, supervisors and special teachers for the Colored schools, but at the present time there are no vacancies in these positions, and the board is unwilling to remove from the schools a number of faithful principals, supervisors and special teachers."

Sarmento, Calif., April 17, that at the time of his death, the co-worker, Wilson, and his co-workers deep concern, is quiet manifest in the recent cabbage incident, the Secretary of the California Senate.
The cabbage are deeply concerned in this racial subject, because it is very evident that it is one of the whites against the darker race. The Secretary becomes that President greatly fears even any suggestion of a sentence in Secretary Lanning's cabbage which states that "There are other races who are not guilty of a very embarrassing" in thought in some measure to have reference to the domestic racial problems in the cabbage.

IN INTEREST OF JUSTICE, EDUCATION AND TRUE DEMOCRACY.
W don't throw bonus and assassinate rulers if we don't get justice. We wait for it, and we are not a people who use the other methods. "We want a chance to become in the full sense of American citizens, to live in the United States, if we are able to pay the rent or buy, and go to rent without having a sign tacked on the door: "Niggers get away from here in 24 hours." There were several hundred white people in the audience, and by the United States District Attorney Kana, who declared the immediate need of giving attention to the problems of justice by reporting the American Colored people.

NATION-WIDE INDUSTRIAL CONFERENCE EXPECTED
Chicago, Ill., April 17.—That there is a determination to "really Get Somewhere" in the new conditions arising out of the results of the "World War," is strongly evident from the discussion relative to the war. The information was received from Chicago or New York, on return of President Wilson. a leader of thought here that there must be no "parley" of the magnitude suggested without representative of the Verro group being an active part in the deliberations. The information was sent out from Washington, the purpose of which was to present President Wilson upon his return to this country, will issue a call for an industrial conference, the purpose of which is to join hands in an anilic program labor, and the government to hold in May, or early in June, if possible. The suggestion was already received the suggestion in a report from Washington and is understood to favor it. The report suggests a clarification of the two following moves on the part of the chief executive of the industrial conference, or parsimony, to devise a constructive program to meet the needs of the country's business life. 2. Reaffirmation of the authority of the executive tribunal of justice to transitory period, or until the industrial conference conclusions are
It is pointed out that the personnel of no such conference would be representative Negroes. During the last three years the Negroes of the country have been a most important group of people, and there is a temporary scarcity of work in some quarters in the North, where more than 500,000 Negroes have migrated to the South. While Southerners are making all sorts of inducements to start a flow of migration back South, the Negroes of the North have returned, or have the inclination to do so. The American Federation of Labor is making all sorts of inducements of employment both North and South, and while some look on the motives with suspicion, others are optimistic about opportunity for industrial justice.
That the American Negro will never again be reduced to the limited lioness of the past, prior to the war, is being attested to whites and Race leaders everywhere. One leading Negro business man remarked with reference to the prosecution that officially invited, hundreds of as will be like anyhow to and out the

The day had been an extremely busy day; many operations were opened promptly at 7:30 a.m. and every minute during the day until midnight. A variety of cases were on hand, some of which were of unusual interest and rarity, and others were encountered only at infrequent intervals. There were seventy physicians, pharmacists, dentists and surgeons present at the conference. They wereucky, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, and North Carolina such as Chicago and Washington—a rather rare collection of much of the medical profession. Three different occasions brought together this body of men, including one woman physician: First, the meeting of the John A. Democratic Leader Laments Present Tendencies in Administration and Urges Defeat.
By Snell Smith
Washington, April 17—In a determined and forceful attack, Joseph W. Hallay, of Texas, former Senator and devises that President Wilson has repudiated present tendencies of the Democratic Administration and devises that President Wilson has compelled the Democratic office holders to renew their devotion to the real principles of the party. I have asked that the party be protested, he says, but instead of the Democratic masses disciplining the party in becoming tainted with lions, and Democratic principles, as taught by our fathers, will be entirely disdainful. We must arrest and reverse the present tendeny. You suppose for one moment that we can influence the people now in power. The President has prescribed the real Democratic rule from conferences with him, though he takes into his closest confidence semi-Socialists and Socialists. Consider downright Socialists, and not one of them can fairly be called a Democrat. We must moracy which we have herefore accepted. We have few honorable exceptions, every man holding an important political office under this administration utilizes every opportunity to disobey the fundamental principles of a representative Democracy. They alienate every man who believes in objective justice and denies the reactionary and denounce those who defend the rights of private property as subservient to the interest. They repudiate the principles of the Democratic party vote for such man. If we hold elective candidates at the manner in which they

Justice may be long delayed, but it will come.
Liberity when limited is finally lost. It can exist permanently only where it is unimmurished.
The blood of the martyr is necessary to the watering of the roots of the tree of liberty.
Lest we forget, right in eternal, Go to church tomorrow. It will help your business.
The reformers of Error have ever been guided in politics and religion in the way of marred, and so twilver ever will.
The policy which is worth while must be based in mortality. All other arrangements belong in the category of the clay trap and must pass away.
The returning Colored soldier, who meets race prejudice in every road, will be the key which unlocks the chest in which lies buried the liberties of the people. In spite of all the mistreatments of bone, he will yet come into his own.
And the Peace Council has finally decided to brand Japan as an inferior national. This some the death of the nation, and the treaty of nations to unforce peace must take its place as a scrap of paper.
History does not record on instance where power was ever long held by violence. The lesson is to hold power by violence. The nation must more it has held power by violence of the labor and elections violence of the state. And for this practice the stock has been time in up. It must cease. Let the state white southheron be warned by the supposed wherever much has been supposed to be crushed to earth will the again:
POWERLESS TO STOP RIGHT.
The blood Abel is still in the ground. It crattains against Calm, although that murderer is in a way down the road. It legalizes wrongs against the peace and prosperity of the twelve unification states, and it forces the notice of righteousness of an impending crush. Let the deserter be freed, and the Negro troops on the westerns front shall not be shaken van. The deserter must not be forgotten, while fame he will not stop. The pointer Prison authorities in its studies toward the latest of Europe is "quite sufficient" to prevent America's liberty is on march.
START THE STOPTERS AND ST
THE STARTERS.
We have a reconstitution program to put through and we do not propose it. We do not want Starters as well as stoppers must be in the same room. "I will take a deal of course."
And all our self-control—

"We're going to reach the goal." The Worker: (The above article) The Worker, Washington, D. C. it is full of luck on me. Just the reader drops the sentiments here contained and while the race must not profit there, I will.
ONE THOUSAND MORE NEGRO TEACHERS FOR LOUISIANA.
A number of Parish Boards and superintendents have already pledged their support to the education in North Carolina has increased the taxable wealth of white farmers of the State as well as the farmers in the same county in line for the same sound and permanent development of her resources. We have given out the following concerning the progress of education among Negroes in Louisiana: We have wagged up to the moral and economic gain of better education for Negroes. One straw to the wind is a recent editorial in The Times that called on the fact that the hall of that Parish has not a single Negro in it. It demands an order of things, when the hall had always from a half acm to half 1- andrd block incarnates the paper

RECORD BREAKING CHURCH RAL
LY AT GALVESTON.
Galveston, Texas, April 15, 1913. Last Sunday at the Avenue L. Baptist Church in Galveston, H. M. Williams, pastor, saw the culmination of a financial drive which raised $10,000 for dancing for many miles. The rally or drive had been on for five or six weeks, only, and closed on Sunday. The congregation both members and friends. At the conclusion of reports there lay upon them the sum of $28,831. The pastor, Peter Williams, estimated the congregation will lift two of their One Thousand Dollar mortgage notes at the end of the month, a year a head in note lining. He further states that he hopes within the ensuing twelve months to raise $10,000 for their new and most modern church office which was completed two years ago.
SOME POPULAR MISCONCEPTIONS
CONCERNING TUBERCULOSIS
That it is hereditary. This is absolutely untrue. People are susceptible to it. Grown people break down with tuberculosis, but rarely "take up" the germ is implanted in childhood.
That a person who has tuberculosis should be abumed or avoided. Tuberculosis is not contagious diseases in that one who has it, if careful, need not be cured. That it cannot be cured. Thousands on thousands of people are infected with tuberculosis, having taken the "cure" who otherwise would have been helpers or patients. That medicine will cure it. Fresh patients are the only medicines that should be used except on a physician's prescription. "Patient" medicines are that one with tuberculosis should "Go West and Rough It." Following that one will not help. That one will help or advise the tuberculosis. Call on your County Court, Texas, and you will be given tuberculosis Society, or write to the State Tuberculosis Sanatorium, Carlsbad, Texas, and you will be given
THE FREEDMAN AID SOCIETY AND

This is in line with movements in Tennessee, Texas and other states in the United States in theocratic America. If America is to exercise world influence never before known in world politics, it must be taught to oppose which it promises to free.

The past week, the church section each night ran from $1.00 to $10.00, Sunday, each member paid from $1.00 to $10.00. I took a jum车 seat in a southbound electric car in the Interurban Permian station in Kansas, arrived here when the sun was in the tree-tops. It was a beautiful sight, and though I did not forget the opportunity to stand and admire the setting sun, he hung him his roid with the purple shirt, and wore a weird color to the bended sides as he lingered on the western horizon, before passing beyond my
At this juncture Mrs. H. E. Williams, introduced Lieut B. A. JACKSON, who had just returned from the United States, the singular and interesting story of the he played on the bloodshed of the war, and the audience sat charmed at the recitation of the awful details. After the interview, the Porter of Danville, IL, was also introduced and told the interesting story of his battle front. The two men, who were the first to raise speech right behind the fighting men, demanding the rights of the race which had been bought by blood from the enemy, Friend GEO. The Calvert Colored Colony in Indianapolis is the largest state and its business enterprise are among the most substantial. Notable in the city is the improvement of the Wilton Bronx blacksmith. The former has installed some thousand collar machines, and one quick, abrasive machine, the Wilton has installs, all the latest—the very last word in iron working implements. The implements installed are trip hammer which strikes 300 times per minute. The implements installed are trip hammer which strikes 300 times per minute. Fredd. H. Where Pat Was.
In a small village in Ireland the mother of a soldier met the village priest, who asked her if she had been killed. "Sire, I have," she said. "Pat has been killed." "Oh, I am very sorry," the priest. "Did you receive word from the priest, I have," he said. "No, she said, 'I received word from himself.'"
The priest looked perplexed, and said, "But how is that?"
"Sure," she said, "here is the letter; read it for yourself."

An Erospective Stranger
"A quaint sort of teller came along here in a motor car, and stopped in front of the gate," related Gap John. "I asked if he could get a drink of water, and I said, I reckon! He wanted to know if I could tell him, and I reckoned I could. He asked me how many children I had, and I told him I reckoned then that I was going to rain, and I answered that I reckoned it was. He sat at me and says, "Then go to be the day of reckon ing," and I said, "What say?" just like that. He and still he'd again, and drive on. Something sorter funny about that teller, and still he'd "peer to be precisely cray, Mebbe he was one progrander,..." Judge
The Infallible Timepiece
A sailor, who was spending the evening of his life in the country, was sitting on a bench for nearly thirty years had never once gone wrong. When he roused a visitor who was staying with him, and together they set out to see the sun setting on the ocean, suiting his watch and then a calendar which gave the same times of the day. There was a long wait in the pale, vague dawn. Presently, tapping the clock, the sailor said: "The sun isn't over that hill in a minute and a half he'll be late."

American Tourist--That book, American Tourist--That book, we have the note of our museum we have the lead pen that Nosh used to check off the animals with as they came out of the Ark. The wag called up a bunch of other wags, his subject being, women be the women. Women do not want votes but voters. Salons are different from women for sometimes the salmon shuts up. What do women stand for, because the men hold the seats. The women who want reform sometime get chloroform. When women want man's wages, she should get a man. A woman suffragette asked a man "What are you doing for our cause?" He answered: "I am supporting one of your enthusiasts." When women want square in the race we should they will discard the hobble skirt.
While the men are after the women, the women are, after the votes and the women would stand a better chance, the women would come looking back to see if the men are after them. K. E. W.
