Figures *published today* by the National "Association for the Advancement of Women," Avenue, New York, indicate that the vote of Negroes in Northern States "negroes vote this year," says the National Association for the Constitution. The black power or will approach closely to being the bulk of the vote, which have 166 votes in the election. The states with their probable Negro enfranchisement of women are given as follows:
Illinois 125,000
Kentucky 125,000
Maryland 125,000
Michigan 125,000
New Jersey 15,000
New York 15,000
In each of these states the number of these states that inhabit the state is greater than the number of votes necessary to elect the governor.
Negro Women Voters.
That Colored women in the South enfranchised by the Women Suffrage Act, eliminate out of voting than men, eliminate out of voting than women, of the National Association for the Colored women are not going to be enfranchised by the Women Suffrage Act, they going to submit to disfranchisement in the next their record of pro-immigration years is proof. The great injustice of the Colored women is urging their branches throughout the South to enfranchise women in the newly enfranchised women in the South.

Shall We *Put Science Into Our Weekly Washings?*
The modern warning machines have come and are being put on the market at prices within the buying price and it any article is put on the market on obtainable conditions, we usually but it and pay for it from a player plano to the washing machine so by?
What does a change offer? In the first place, more washing can be done in the same time and our work is done in the same way. Secondly—We use less energy in doing—the work, and the work is better done, the clothes whiter, the clothes cleaner, the other duties and the other duties and the few pleasures. Not only should the woman who takes in washing consider the wash, the clothes can also well use one. This phase of house work is hardest on the mother or housekeeper and we wear her clothes. Why, then, not use a machine, and save your life for your children and grandchildren? Let us do the modern washing machine.

LITTLE THINGS THAT HELP.
**Good Uses For Paper.**
In the kitchen, we often use paper I keep paper napkins, sheets of newpaper, a roll of waxed paper and large sheets of Manila paper. The paper napkins I use as coverings for the dishes and greasy plates when I am piling up my dishes. The Manila paper, when slightly floured and laid flat on the table, is used for cutting boards. When fowl or fish are cleaned a large sheet is placed over newspapers on the table, and the mincing and dicing of vegetables are done.
When sweeping the porch it is impossible to get up all the dust, and often the porch is left streaked. If you will use a dustless mop the porch as if it had just been washed. P. Y. S. — Va. Hominy Croquettes 1 cupful of Hominy, 2 teaspoonful of salt, 2 tablespoonful of flour, 1-2 teaspoonful of white pepper, 1 tablespoonful of butter, 1 cupful of milk, 1-2 teaspoonful of nutmeg, 1 cupful of sugar.
Wash and soak the hominy in the evening in one quart of cold water; add the water to the quart of boiling water, and boil for six hours; add more water if necessary, unmix two teaspoons of the water, and add the sauce, and add the nutmeg. Take spoonsfuls in foured hands and roll them into a ball. Dip them in egg (1 egg beaten with one tablespoonful of cold water) and in the Fry deep hot fat or in the oven. Sauce: Put the butter into a bowl and mix well; add the cold flour mix; well; and add the cold
Mix the hominy and three dole-spoonsful of cheese, the milk, salt and pepper together to paste with one tablespoonful of cheese; put into a hot oven for fifteen minutes. If the cheese is pale, pare in double boiler and sprinkle with cheese as you send it to the table. The amount is for four per 300 gr. Potatoes and Cheese-sauce. When I have mashed potatoes left from dinner mashed potatoes in the top, which I fill with cheese sauce, and also pour it over the sides of the mound, it makes a delicous sauce.

The two questions have been satisfied to continue on a basis of live and let live with the labor force. They are also laborers, white their whites. Within the last few years, the feeling of discontent and hostility the employer has grown until it forms a lively danger to the continued peace. His resignation was accepted, but he was not a member of the church of his own, from which he had been accustomed to be acceded Father Smith, rector of the church. He became "bated black men" for him because he "bated black men" against all black men. These allegations, Herald and otherwise given wide attention by the Negro population. In an effort to appease the white rector in opposition to the white rector and in which harrow had set up with the black groo workers deserted the church to the white rector.
All this is part of the race question which Americans of every sort have been asking for. Virgin Islands, with the thought of developing them along industrial or agricultural lines.
RACE WOMEN OPENLY DENIED RIGHT TO EXERCISE PHAN- CHISE.
Birmingham, Ala., Sept. 16—In the women of the Birmingham district have been denied the right to replease their pensions. The Jefferson County court house, the county many of them, as they report, have been harmed in an attempt to force them in their effort to become registered voters have been reported that are vexing the women.
A young woman of very rare intelligence applied for registration of the white women these questions: "What do you want to vote?" When these questions were answered, the next statement followed: "Well, the state of Alabama doesn't want you." Another young woman, who was working at a large business in the city of Atlanta, told her to tell all about woman suffrage, the groundwork that when that was done, she would be able to her statement, she said. When asked to be a United States citizen, the governor then asked her to get a pact that he knew; this was done. She took her registration, being familiar with her name. "I told you I wasn't going to you." But you told me if I could get somebody to identify my voice, he meant that they know you and you have a voice. "I don't know any of them."

The Colored Civic League today made public the following statement relative to the condition of the inbound public schools for Colored children. At a mass meeting held Sunday evening at 6:30 under the umbrella of the Colored Civic League, it was informed that a number of College Men's applications had been turned down on account of a rejection of the placing of a lady teacher as the principal of our High School we consider it unfair and unjust to have always shouldered their part of the burden in helping to make Greenville what it should be. We have always pooled and non-equipped buildings with no side walks provided for, we have been contented to have our children in the order that they might secure a High School training. We are aware of the fact that under our County Superintendent's chairmanship, the Colored citizens of the rural districts have been provided with good buildings and charities to give their children a common school training but the Colored citizens of the progressive Cityville have given rights.
But we feel that the city School Board fair-minded men as we know they are is not aware of these. "Greenville has not been disturbed by an emigration of her citizens to other sections of the city," said Greenville have

The few exceptional ones among them are far apart and their influence as yet is felt very little. The fact that in the past few years the Negro has begun to realize more fully that this condition really exists, that it is the natural thing to expect and that if it is to be remedied, he must learn to endure, and remedy, has given rise to a perilous reaction in many sections.

ASSOCIATION.
The present presidential campaign has brought these conditions to light more fully than any other and in the conditions attendant upon it some peculiar problems are arising whichbid fair to become troublesome to those "friends" of the Negro whose sole aim in the past has been his use as the "cat's paw" for drawing out political chestnuts.
Published every Saturday morning
in the year at 2600 Swiss Avenue
A correspondent of the New York Evening Post in reviewing the political situation in the Central West makes mention of some of these problems and their effect upon race prejudice in places where it has hitherto been unnoticed. His article treats primarily a democratic appeal to prejudice and the need to recognize which has been the stock in trade of southern demagogues for many years. He argues that the political power of the Negro which is being used to such good advantage in Ohio, Kentucky and Illinois has been increased by the migration of those from the South who were drawn by "stories spreading through the South that in the northern states they have full social and political equality" and that in the north "a Negro is as good as a white

"The Negroes have spread into the white residence sections in all of the larger cities and districts that were once white have been almost wholly surrendered to them. The economic feature again enters here, for the white people in hundreds of instances have been forced to sell their homesteads at a sacrifice because of the invasion. In still other quarters the public schools have been invaded to force the families to attend school in order to avoid sending their children to a school with a large element of Colored children.

With their increasing numbers the Negroes have become far more insistent on their constitutional rights to full equality under the law. They have recently forced a concession under which they purchased sleeping car and chair car tickets on the railroads, greatly to the annoyance of the white travellers, and more especially women. The handling of this matter has been a delicate one for the railway officials and protests are constantly coming to them.
THE DALLAS EXPRESS
has never hoisted the white feather, neither has it been disgraced by the yellow streak. It is not afflicted with the white streak, it is a plain, every day, sensible, conservative newspaper, which trims no sail to catch the passing breeze; flies no doubtful flag; it is proud and broad as our country. Its love of even handed justice covers all the territory occupied by the human race. This is pretty, high ground, but we live on it and are prepared to press come up and stand with us. This ground is with holy. W. E. KING.
He further lambets the fact that these same Negroes are increasing rather than decreasing their demands and that where they hold the balance of power they are using it to decided advantage and intend by it to get representation in state legislatures and put men favorable to them in control of their several administrations. Discussing this particular phase of their activities he says: "Each advantage gained by the Colored men has increased their desire for further ones, and they are planning to use the ballot as a lever to increase their power. In the four States of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois they hold the balance of power as between the two political parties. They have made the greatest use of their power in Ohio. In the recent primaries they have used their power to defeat candidates to their power, threatening those who did not openly pledge themselves with determined opposition.
The results of their course are seen in the recent nominations in which candidates favored by them have almost invariably won out over their opponents, who would not make promises. The Negroes lined up almost solidly behind former Mayor James D. McCarthy, who was elected for Governor by the Republicans, although he is a pronounced liberal and the party in Ohio has been bledged to prohibition.

Ignoring the prohibition issue, they also lined up behind former, Gov. Frank B. Willis and he was nominated for United States Senator. Willis was especially favored because he prevented the presentation in Ohio, while Governor, of the film "The Birth of a Nation," which portrays the Negro in an unfavorable way. In the local primaries throughout the State the Negroes displayed their power by nominating six candidates for the lower house of the General Assembly of Ohio. The number of Colored men nominated is absolutely without precedent. There are three in Cleveland, two in Columbus, and one in Cincinnati, and the Colored men have served notice on the political leaders that if their candidates are sacrificed in any ways they will retaliate. The writer explains that there is to be no discrimination against them in the Republican party.
The writer explains that Democratis particularly of Ohio are combating this acquiescence of Republicans to the political will of Negro voters by circulating anti-Negro propaganda. In other words they are making the race question an issue in Central Western politics and are addressing their propaganda to the Negro voters by gaining their votes to aid in counteracting Negro influence.
PARENTS AND TEACHERS.
PARENTS AND TEACHERS.
The parents and teachers
for cooperation between parent
and teacher, which will result in
added help to the child if only they see
their parents.
There can be no doubt that close application to the spread of such anti-Negro propaganda will result in many embarrassing situations politically. Such situations if confined altogether to politics might not give cause for alarm. But to consider the attendant and more lasting effects of the continual presentation of such argument upon the minds of a public already attuned to such demagagie and un-american harangues is to realize that a serious situation might result from it.
There is no definite limit set in the school life of any child at which the parents duty ends and duties are corralled and inseparably intermingled. And by getting into the attitude of being mutually helpful, one to the other, the child is helped and assisted in his guest
It is to be hoped that whatever the outcome is to be, the Negro voters, not only in Ohio, but in all other Northern States where their votes will be counted, may realize that their only hope of gaining a man's chance and of maintaining themselves as free Americans depends upon the wisdom of their political alliances.
Parents should feel first of all that the teacher has the power to guide their child in his control, heart that the teacher realizes that the teacher has the guidance of all of his or her pupils into fuller and wider knowledge of all things with which he comes in.
It is to be hoped that their leaders may be able to cause them to realize that their duty to vote and help in gaining representation where now they do not have it. May their desires for power increase. May they study, plan and work for those who favor them, massing their strength, being constantly alert and ready to seize the main chance of becoming a power instead of remaining a pawn. Democratic propaganda notwithstanding.
Teachers must be given cause to feel that every parent has an obligation to provide knowledge, a realization that discipline is an essential essential to the gaining of knowledge and a sense of responsibility, laid down for the direction of the school, that his time may be efficiently given to the direction of his school.
When the G. O. P. elephant refused to have her picture taken with the Democratic donkey the other day she simply showed her "class." The general actions given of the donkey's masters are not indicative of much native genius or love of ethics.
One obstreperpus pupil can cause the loss of hours of valuable time to a whole class.
The soul of the Bolshevik who planted the Wall Street bomb and that of the southern lyncher are so nearly alike that they might swap bodies and cause no noticeable change in the personality of the individuals involved.
The time taken in dealing with one contrary pupil must be lost to the remainder of the class, then in progress.
The number of lynchings chronically last week gives us reason to feel that since they are now so common place they may be classified as to locality and printed as are births, death, marriages, etc.
Any normal child whose parents give him the correct idea of what school is for and his proper attitude toward its various processes is usually an obedient child. Under the opposite condition the reverse is

Lynching easily takes a leading place among things typically American.

THE DALLAS EXPRESS, DALLAS, TEXAS, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 1920.
THE MIRROR OF PUBLIC OPINION
The past week we received a copy of the New Negro, a new newspaper published in Fannan, and we received word that a Negro journal called the Canadian Informer has seen the light of publication in Montreal, Canada. Today Negro newspapers are published by the score and their circulation runs up into the thousands. The twenty-five years ago the Encounter, the Richmond Planet, the New Negro and the Indiana Freeman were the only newspapers in America which were widely known. But today we might mention two score of well known papers. Twenty-five years ago there was only one weekly Negro newspaper in New York and no monthly magazine. Today there are seven weekly Negro newspapers published in Greater New York and five monthly magazines. There has been a similar trend in the newspapers in Pa., in Chicago, in the West Indies, in Panama and in Africa. What does it all mean? What does it indicate. It indicates that the percentage of Negroes who like to read and who are interested in racial problems has greatly increased. And it indicates that the percentage of Negroes who have surplus cash to buy newspapers and advertise in them has greatly increased. The door of the temple at Delphi, "Know Thyself," has been taken to heart by the New Negro. Twenty-five years ago he was satisfied if he had an easy job, a soft sniff, good clothes and money to have a good time. But today he is interested in world problems, in world politics and their relation to the Negro and his scrippings. In a word the New Negro is beginning to reflect seriously upon his life. He is a man of great civility. The careless and light-hearted Negro of a quarter of a century ago as been metamorphosed into a serious and thoughtful individual.
The headlines of some of the articles in the New Negro a new Panama paper, indicate the trend of though of the New Negro, "Big Negro Convention—All eyes Watching," "Race Hated In Debased," "Trio of Joy and Sorrow," "Have Courage to be a Man," "Are We Menacled by a Race War," "Personal Efficient of Persons and the topics discussed." The article, "I Will Personal Efficiency of Persons and Race," expresses the spirit of the Negro, who is in reality dominated by the New Thought philosophy and has taken seriously Emmons's Gospel of Self-Reliance. Such men as Toussaint L'Overture, Booker T. Washington, Frederick Douglas, Paul Lawrence Dunhousn (colored) and Frederick Handel, Samuel Johnson, Oliver Goldsmith, Benjamin Franklin, Horace Greeley and Abraham Lincoln (white) are held up as men, by sheer force of genius and personality, ploughed their way to success. The article closes by asking, "Who will be the next Negro to rise and overcome and lift up down upon them from the lofty heights which they had won and kept by sheer, unqualified merit?" The great men in history are the men who evince man's power to overcome environment. That constitutes the fascination of the career of Napoleon Bonaparte, the charity student who rose until he became the most dominant figure in Europe, changing maps and up and unseating kings. When we reflect that two men of color (Toussaint L'Overture and Frederick Douglas) started from slavery and climbed the dizzy heights of fame it ought to inspire the Negro youth of the world, for these two heroes demonstrated the fact that the Negro race could prove who could show the power of man to overcome a hostile environment.
We are glad of the new note of hopefulness and courage, which is beginning to be struck in Negro journalism. The whining and begging attitude of mind is passing away. In its place is the cool and calm determination to face a world in which the principles of the struggle for existence and the survival of the fittest hold regal awance and the knowledge that in the last analysis a race rises not by what others do for it, but by what it does for itself. The struggle is a hard lot in life, but Toussaint L'Overture, Douglass, Carnett, Crumrell, Downing, Dunbar, Richard Allen, Daniel Payne, Conrad Reeves and Bishop Crowther faced the walls of Anglo-Saxon caste prejudice and scaled them. And if we meet the obstacles—racial, political and economic—which impede our progress with the same faith in God and faith in ourselves, we, too, will win some victories and to the prestige and standing of the race. The Creator has endowed us with a brain that can think and will, with fine senses and two hands and two feet on which we can stand erect and move over the ground. If we raise our thinking and willing apparatus and our physical strength, we can stand over the ground, moral, political and economic strength of the race, no one can predit the bounds and the limits of our achievement.
The attitude of the white press of the world towards ambitions and aspiring men of color was the chance and opportunity for Negro journalism. In 1895 the opposition to the higher education of the Negro, disfranchisement and jim crow cars began to gain ascendency in America themselves. Consequently, not the most talented and worthy Negroes, but the most talented and worthy Negroes, knew their place, were lauded by the press of the world. That was the cause of the rise of Negro journalism. The seers and thinkers of the race desired organs in which they could give expressions to their longings and agitations for citizenship and opportunity in America, for economic development in the West Indies and freedom and self-determination in Africa. The New Negro has caught the spirit of modern progress and that spirit is reflected in his books, pamphlets, magazines and newspapers. When a Colored lad in Atlanta, whose name was R. R. Wright, told the Negro that he was a Negro, the spirit of the New Negro. The development of the human personality to its highest efficiency and desire to enjoy the blessings of Mother Earth are ideals which are pulsing in the mind of the New Negro.

The colleges for the education of the youth of the race have again lent forth a small army of graduates, who are intent upon taking up their life work.
Many of them will engage in teaching, while others will take up the practice of law, medicine, pharmacy or some other profession. But in addition to the profession by which these graduates will earn their livelihood, there is another way in which they can become a valuable asset to the rate.
There is a great need for these college graduates to become leaders of their people in the South, whereby example and precept they can show them how to live and how to do business. There are sections in which the example of right living and home making will be worth more than a ton of long distance advice. Many of these people need to be shown how to get homes and to keep them in a proper way. Much has already been done in this line by the devoted workers of the race, who have cast their lot with the masses of the South, but much still remains to be done.
There are sections of the South where opportunities for racial enterprise and advancement exist, but are not yet taken advantage of to the fullest extent. The young lawyer, doctor, dentist, pharmacist, veterinarian, agriculturist, or what ever he may be can here find a fruitful field for his start in life. At the same time he can demonstrate the desirability of getting a home before indulging in an automobile, and in other ways set a same example of sensible living on a progressive scale.
With the progress of the community where they may settle, these college graduates will naturally evolve into a position of leadership, which will enable them to for themselves and for the group with which they have become identified.
There is need for this kind of education and enlightened leadership. The colleges and other institutions of higher learning should furnish it.

TUBERCULOSIS AND THE "MOVIES."
North Carolina, in five years, has reduced the reported deaths from tuberculosis something over five per cent. In controlling this preventable disease the Colored population presents the greatest difficulties; and hence the highest interest in the treatment through the Bureau of Tuberculosis has organized hundreds of leagues among the Negroes, one main object of which is to report to the Department all cases of tuberculosis, to acquaint the patients and their families with methods of cure and of prevention, and to supervise their practice. These leagues, which enrolled more than 10,000 patients over the state; and for the past year the state Bureau has been helping them with a school on wheels. A moving car picture car tours the state ex-
hibiting nightly for a week at each place where a league is organized. Pictures purely entertaining are given to draw the crowds. Educational and health films are also shown, as well as special ones on tuberculosis. A trained wroker from the Bureau lectures on health and sanitation as well as on specific diseases. The total death rate among Negroes is everywhere much greater than among white. In North Carolina it is still two and one-half times as great as the infectious co-operation with his better class of Negroes for the health education of the masses should show appreciable results in the next decade. port which this poll tax goes when collected. The Democrat, animecine, holding all the offices and amenities, has been accused of persecution with poll tax receipts, and of being issued a tax on them issued on credit in sufficient amount. The election are in any doubtful district. If Mr. man is too poor to pay the tax, he must be a voter for three years; he must be a member of those most of those who work with him. He must be qualified as voters; those are the men who better their condition, and they vote for party, including Mr. Gompers, professors of law.
In order to prevent a troublesome situation, the state of Virginia obliges encourages illiteracy. The constitution of the state requires that a voter be a voter. The government of Virginia is unable to qualify. An official report recently revealed more white illiteracy in Alabama than in Virginia was general. The state's Democratic oligarchy must keep in power the hands of a few helps explain this alarming phenomenon. Not that taxes are low, but the money is not being used to the oligarchy, and less liable to the oligarchy, and less liable to the taxes. It will throw off the oke of political power.
But this doesn't end the trouble, and the elections boards may fail on election procedures. The board of the election commission of a man who isn't expected to vote, for example, could be the clerk of the board hid the registration of the oligarchy in that precinct, and the board disqualified all the voters in the precinct, but not 8% decision that the voters were not registered. This was one of thirty-two methods of denying the state convention Republic state convention held for the purpose of months ago. There was a value, full of the causes. The answer made by the test was to recommend the appointment of a new president, a practice the convention held in such cases. Attorneys for the convention insisted that the Seint has not yet confirmed, and the
In South Carolina, even though Reconstruction had adopted this plan of preventing Republican registration, the law board must be present when a voter board is open. The voter board is often coming one member of the board at a time, and the member has time to wait the members of the board in absentance themselves. If the Republican makes to a voter, it is likely to get "given" from behind a tree on his back. After the vote, the voter in a congressional contest case is allowed a selection board to may, and often does, just as it please, about what he wants to vote on. This is the sort of business that the states have done by the over the states dominated by the federal government. It does not, as before stated, and demonstrates a democratic advantage, more than then black, have anything to do with the race question, the domination of the better element of the population by the leaders of the Southern Dempresse, the section, the cultured people of wealth and finance and who did not misuse their trusts for the masses of the people. This has brought about the rule of the strong, the states, and the system a method of control to their liking. The average call to arms is today morally noteworthy, but the system is not morally noteworthy. Once the South had the moral authority. Once the South had the moral authority. Once the
THE GOLDEN* MOMENTS OF TIME. THE TRIADS — WHAT IS HE IS LIKE? WHAT IS DEATH?
(By N. W. Harlee).
Time is the only one moment drops from the hand of God, the time giver, at once. Did you ever think of this? God is gracious and he measures out time in its limit. He leaves its direction and use us as instruments in a part of duration and when we loose time, we lose a part of duration. Shall we improve each golden moment? Services? Service and time are two elements that enter into our devotion of any. We shall improve each golden moment by making them shall rise with the sun and set out with the new duties of the day, rejuvenating both by industry, for the Golden moments of time rightly applied, are the ladder by which we reach both by industry; for of time is a link in life's chain.
Many a life has been squandered by the waste of time, indecision and failure, still at the parting of the way, he is three score years and ten, his body is in bent, his form is a wreck, he is hungry, his clothes if three are in homeless, three are in homeless, and friendless, he lost the golden moments of early life, and then advertised for them, no clothes, no shoes, back to the Lost opportunity. When we see a man losing time, "killing time," "burning day light," "missing a moment," spent a few golden moments in early life. What is time? What is it should be written in great characters before our faces so that we should remember that each room should be written of time, one death. These come singled handed, one at a time, so precious is time, so valuable is life,

Chicago, Sept. 23, is *R*mored that Franklin D. Taking the votes of Negroes, denying them the rights that belong to them is nothing new in the Democratic Party, but the party elected in the South and electoral votes acquired by this method, but not by a Negro country has been in danger. Consequently, it is assumed that Franklin D. has undertaken the task of disfranchising the First, his party disfranchises the Negro in the South, and now he proposes to disfranchise Negro strength in the League of Nations. If the United States must depend upon a position in the Covenant, it must be agreed among Americans, white and black, Jew and Gentile, to affirm the orthodox that the Negro has no rights that a white man is bound to take to disfranchise of nations.

This church was organized 50 years ago and the Semi-Continental celebration of the event took place on Sunday, April 11, week. Prominent lay members and ministers from all over the country, together with a large body of women in the church, dresses, songs and reminiscences by the leaders both old and young constituted the program. Bishop Philip P. McCormick, the first bishop of this district, delivered the principal address, dwelling largely upon the triumphs of the church

CONVENES IN COLUMBUS
OHIO, SEPT. 8TH, 1920.
We wish to go on record as having time perhaps and we express our grateful appreciation to the North East, South and West they came as shick as children when they were there. The meeting was Special rolled into Columbus about one hour late, but everybody knew were there. The meeting was held at the same coliseum hall, while the women's meetings were held at the same church on Long Street. Those who went from Fort Worth, were Rev. Rex, Rev. John Miller and wife; Price; Rev. John Miller and wife; Shaw; Dr. Crosby and wife; Shaw; Dr. Crosby and wife;
Eight pullman cars were required to accommodate the delegates from the conference. We may pay to the magnificent work of Home Mission and Foreign Mission accomplished at this meeting, but we are not sure if the officer and finer sentiments which grew out of the great assembly. Rev. J. H. Winn of Winnfield, was rightly appointed to preach the Women's Mission sermon Friday morning at 10 o'clock. The church was packed like "Star Wars," and many people self quite a hit with the Women's convention, and won for him many awards, including one of being a preacher with a gospel. He also was placed on program for the big conventions, the event of the meeting speaking of Foreign Mission he told of St. James 2nd Street Baptist Church, Fort Worth, the event of the meeting speaking of Foreign Mission to Afric. She finished in Fisk University and was a delegate from the meeting in Detroit, Mich. 1920.
The convention raised more money this year than it has ever raised since the separation over the top giving over $12,000 dollars for missions. Texas received a number of international correspondence. Corresponding secretary; Mrs. J. H. Winn, assistant recording secretary; Mrs. David Abame, Audit director; Mrs. J. H. Winn, assistant recording secretary; Mrs. David Abame, Audit director; Besides having seats in other important committees, Texas raised more money than any other state represented. There was 45 states represented.
On the other hand, it is pointed out that the care of the man to be on guard for the safety of the woman is not stated, employment is economic and not sentimental. Regardless of how much care is given to the watchword and if the woman is one thing left to do, make a decision. Organizations of all kind are urged to care and impress on them the importance of the craft. Extravagance and vices are urged to beware of the crafty people in the city, men and women, that are the crafty women, that wits and the credulous women.

Beauty is the first present that Nature gives to a woman Unless proper care is given the skin, as well as the hair, this beauty is the first that is taken away. The power of beauty in a woman is inestimable—how important, how necessary, therefore, it be that she should look her best—improve the charms that Nature bestowed upon her.
Now some women are endowed by Nature with a bright soft skin—but others not so fortunate, can acquire that youthful complexion—and what's more desired a light, smooth skin, just by the use of two toilet preparations known as the Black and White Beauty Treatment.
BLACK and WHITE Ointment and Soap make up the BLACK and WHITE Beauty Treatment. This name was given by those who used the two and acquired gratifying knowledge. Both are made and recruited by the skin.
Women everywhere—those whose skin is dark especially—are loud in their praise of the wonderful skin brightening properties of this wonderful BLACK and WHITE Ointment. You come to us unassoluted from all parts of the world.
Black and WHITE Ointment and Soap can be use as delightful as cold creams and skin lotions. It is also useful for the skin of the White and White Soap. This opens the pores of the skin. Then mix according to directions the Creamy Ointment. Leave this on the skin—face, hands, neck or arms—overnight and the next morning wash with water. Repeat this treatment for several nights—the first application will show results in a very short time you will be designed.
Black and WHITE Ointment and Soap will also remove pigment top litching and heal irritated skin.
