The Lawyer said these cases by sending representatives to the communities from which the sharecroppers came, the business men and bankers of these sections that unless the alleged sharp practices were discounted, the State government would assist in obtaining labor next season. In every instance, Mr. Myera said, the sharecroppers were forced to work to "clean seas," ferreting out those who have been guilty of misappropriation. Conditions in Northern manufacturing centers are being investigated with a view to collecting the exact facts. If they succeed, the New York, N. Y. Authentics were told by residents of Dinmore that a white man had carried him to the spot to an automobile, fired several bullets and struck him in the head with an axe. He struck him in the head with an axe. J. S. Geiger, Justice of the Peace, received a telephone call shortly before he gave his name. The man told the Justice to go to Grand Crossing immediately to that a Negro had been lynched at Dinmore. He was attempting to organize a pose at the time the second call was made. Stanley Durkee, President of Howard University, when asked to preface a book to his students, wrote words upon the theme, "The Negro Faces 1924" remarked that he was a black man in Howard University where best all the titles of racial life in America. He "The Negro faces 1924 with a new racial consciousness." His history of buried centuries is being written. A reason for the long night of racial captivity are clearly appearing. They were brought on the captivity of every race of history. Now the Negro thanks the women he had buried and repays him. He is determined to consolidate his powers, mass his strength, and overcome his difficulty by a racial war that will be fought and represented by his attributes to world betrayment. The article, contributed by Professor N. W. Harlee, now principal of the Oak Cliff School, then reporter for the News, is so free from the present day prejudicial practice of newspapers as to cause us to marry the Negro and not the white Starks, or any of the other thousand and one uncompromising things which undermine proper dress, uproar and consider proper. And, thinking of these things we wonder why the most important attention was paid to the activities of educated, cultured Nigerian citizens. The columns of the university were considered worthy of courteous treatment. And they were so condemned by the university that now are at the head of the larger projects of Dallas. But today, con- a glimpse of the policy of the Dallas Morning News of thirty-two years ago, gave the public through the courtesy of Mrs. J. P. Starke, of the late Hone J. P. Starke, on the thirty-second anniversary of her marriage she brought to light among other highly treasured newspapers of the Dallas Morning News dated Jan. 4, 1882 which contained a full account of her marriage. The news article was contributed by Prof. N. W. Harleigh, then reportant of the University, and a note that in those days the courteous titles of "Mr." and "Mir" were always used. The first hat to be flung into the fight in the riot to represent the First District of Illinois is the hat of the late Michael Taylor, who has announced that he is candidate for the bonnie now born by the national legislature and is the most powerful member of the national legislature and is came to Chicago from Mississippi where his friends claim, he was no outspoken for the white folks. At one time the National Equal Rights League which Taylor's candidacy is expected to be only one of many that the voters of the district have to deal with between at the forthcoming primary and election. The biggest even in the history of the international Convention, will be here in June, and the people are determined that it will an occasion long to remember. So far as the spectacular aid, conducted by the United Nations in Public Hall, is very certain that Calvin, Johnson, at all will furnish all the entailment that one might expect from the strong point that way. But what Cleveland is deeply concerned about is the people that the people will receive. that the people will receive. Cleveland is a large and beautiful city of the United Nations population. There are 40,000 Colored people living here. It was not always thus. Migration has brought about 15,000 in the city in the last year and we are associated. Named Negro Press can assure Colored America that every one CHANGED. and thus fail to measure up to what it might in making for the success of the civic unit of which it is a part. The civic unit of which it is a part. This extent is the idea of those of our people who have honestly, and earnestly tried to improve themselves. The thirty years just passed have wrought changes that in many ways are unfortunate. They have wilted and have become less able which make it impossible for the Negro and white citizens to work together along the necessary lines for the future. What will the next thirty years bring? We know not. But we hope they will. We hope they will desire of the common cause and race of citizen to work more thoroughly for the good of the common cause and fostered upon each other they must 'become more thoroughly accustomed with thoughts of each other and seek to foster contact where people will help us to help in the time of greatest efficiency for the places in which they live. Edwards has been the first Church for more twenty-five years in the town, wards labored faithfully by his side in the many auxiliaries of the church, and he was connected to Oak Street Church with very appropriate services consisting of resolutions of reverence and prayers.
