THE DALLAS EXPRESS has never hissed the white knight, neither has it been disgraced by the yellow stright. It is not afflicted with the flannel mouth, it is a plain, every day, tremble, conservative newspaper, which tries no soil to catch the passing breast, and suffers a patriotism as brand as our country. Its law of womens' justice covers all the territory occupied by the human race. This is sweet high ground, but we live on it and are perplexed on it and stand with us. This ground is holy. AMERICA EXCLUDES THE JAPANESE Wrong though they may be, in their action there is a lesson to us that, if taken will prove highly powerful, because they have learned to stand or fall together. In matters financial or otherwise their actions are the same. They have the same rule there will be no exceptions. More attention to the cultivation of this trait among us will help us to grow. We must learn to stand together for our own improvement with others, and to be aware of the concerns of others. There must come a time when to this end. Then and only then will we be able to help others and hope for great accomplishment. The migration has caused many and varied comments but none we think as timely and fitting as these which we herewith reproduce from the pen of the Cameraman of the Preston News Service. He feels that the effects of the migration have been felt equally by the North and the South. And he summarizes them as follows: BRASHEAR PUTS DAL LAS ON THE SPORT- ING MAP 11. Increased interracial strife in urban cities, North. 12. Increased inclusion of Negro workers in northern industries. 13. Eventual complete unionization of Negro labor. 14. Improved Negro health in educational attainments. 15. State and national legal protections of Negroes. 16. Fuller representation in northern legislation. It is good to realize that only through such accomplishment as the three pain fames, "And in this three pain fames, and praise be given in the three pain fames." 17. Greater economic advancement, North and South among Negroes 18. Greater utilization of Negro professional class, North and South Braesch has done for the youth of Italian what has been needed in the past: he has realized, he has directed the extinction of the country to it. The braesch brothers have shared in his honor, his city, his parents and the school of which he is a member. 19. Unfavorable housing conditions in North. 20. Decrease in Negro birth rate. There may be those who will feel justified in disagreeing with these findings but even though they are open to the greatest amount of argument, they certainly are to be moved in the movement of so many of our people to new fields. And in the whole of his accomplishment he hears the reminiscence of being as good a student as he is in an athlete. Some of them may be considered as fortunate and some of them may be considered as unfortunate but they are all natural outcomes of the movement. Taken as a whole however they are seemingly provocative. Taken as a whole they are the whole group, and in the consideration of them it cannot be argued that the migration has been a thing to be wholly deprived. He has done well. The reducible Marcus Garvey wrote in 1920 that the African people are particularly close to the dispatches telling of his plea to the white South to encourage this newest exodus of the Negro. DISCOVERING BRAINS. THREE is but one thing remarkable in the fact that a Pullman porter gave a lecture on the subject of "Transportation" to the university professor who while traveling deserts and mountains had backpack enough to invite his address to each of the students knowing full well the criticism he would have to face on account of his identity of his new leisure. By now the thinking people of the country have tired of Garvey and the blatant schemes of his for the coining of easy money. They have begun to realize that their future lies not so much in going to Africa, where they will as he says "be free to carry on their own affairs in their own way" as it does in living here in America and making the best of the opportunities that are evident on every hand here. America now is the best country in the world as far as we can see. It has its fortunate and unfavorable sides it is true. But what country is there which does not have them? It contains prejudice of the most virulent sort and some of the most frequently met features of it are savage in the extreme but it does offer the needed opportunity for the growth and development that we need most at this time. ALTHOUGH the press through out the country made much of the news of the comments it was evident that repudiated this party particularly to the rule, when as a matter of fact he is perhaps but one of the well educated men to be found in the service. Many are college graduates because of the peculiar and unjust economical conditions in this country, and run on the run in the capacity of porter as a means to an end. Garvey speaks so often of building great financial projects in the countries to which we will go. Those same projects can be fostered here and in reality must be reared here from the start, in those new fields which he says that we should seek. Migration to Africa may appeal to the more credulous among us. But those who think clearly will be convinced that if we are failures in a commercial way here we most likely will fail. This is the reason that we would choose purposely to do so a short time. IT IS A SAD COMMENTARY American education when the American opportunity is closed in the face of young college men simply on the job, is the color. The traveling public has long since discovered that the American education In the meantime as we think of the things that we hope to do and become in the days to come, let us realize that if we cannot succeed in America with them we will not succeed in Africa where the problem will be of a totally different nature. Even Garvey himself falls under the operation of the American State Line and the allied concerns that he has fostered here, there is no reason to feel that he can or will make a success of them in another place whose customs he does not know. FOR THE WOM Liberia and Abyssinia need help it is true. But if we have not as yet been able to solve our own problems of the simplest sort for ourselves, how can we hope to be of any benefit to them who have already by their own efforts done better than we? THE GOOD-WILL TOUR OF THE EASTERN BUSINESS MEN While a woman's face is the to be noted still is not all, body is the expression of the expression expression is or marked, The Editor of the Chicago Whip seems to feel that the tour of those business men who have chartered a special car and are now visiting the Southern States is a useless expenditure of money. Second: Practice proper breathing: Deep full breath, which expand the chest and lungs, are invaluable, as they cause a lifting of the chest and ribs and put them in a position to act into action. Try such ten breaths slowly and morning while the patient breathes. This mental reservation must cease to be if the whole program of racial advancement is to be carried to its successful terminus. There must come such a common realization of mutual dependence that it will result in common action and unified effort. The Southerner is after all the braver of the two groups, for all of his battles are fought in the hot-bed of prejudice and proscription. And why can it not be that those who are in position to help in greater freedom to lift the load that is becoming more common as the migration continues, and need, first of all, the first hand of the things that we face in order that the knowledge of how best to defeat them may more speedily come?
