THE POSITION OF THE EXPRESS IN THE
ODD FELLOWS ARGUMENT
DIVORCES 27 WIVES
In the large number of expressions **ro** and **con** which have come to the Expressus in the argument as to **ment** J. H. Riddle which have been made public during the past few weeks, there was one written by R. W. Dickson in which he undertook to take the Expressus of facts in reward to the whole affair. Said he, "I have been profoundly disgusted at the way you seem to slide around the facts in the case of the G. U. O. below. I have come out and give us the facts in the status of the G. U. O. are on the inside? Are you afraid of Secretary Riddle? If you are not afraid the public wants you to see these results." The public is entitled to the facts on these results.
FLORIDA LEGISLATORS BAN LASH IN FARMS
In answer to the query of Rev. Dickson, The Express are "as immediately and heartily that the public be given to give the public the facts in so far as it has been able to paint them. It fears nothing so much as the reputation of being unfair to the public which it serves by giving out statements which are not corvet but which they are correct in their statements. The Express now declares without a single reservation that it has been imposed upon by Grand Master Gorce as well by Secretary Riddle in the matter of the statements which they caused it to make to the public in the course of their statements at the time of the dedication of the Temple in Houston when it published the statementof Secretary Riddle to the effect that the Grand Lodge was worth $835,086.74, it relied upon the simple honesty of those officials of the Temple to give the public the sworn statement of the asses of the Order as filed at Austin were made public, it felt, as did the rest of the "members of the public, and it placed the letters of those members of the Order who asked the questions in a prominent place in order that the public might be given the assurance that some satisfactory way to those questions. They have not replied. They have maintained a complete silence, a silence which is rather bad looking in the face of the fact that the public entrusted its affairs to them and that servants, they owe some satisfaction to the public.

The most complete civilization has yet become an accomplished fact in this country.
REMEMBERING PETER SALEM
In Framingham, Massachusetts there is a statute erected to Peter Salem, a soldier of the Revolution whose skin was black but whose valor during those stirring times was white. The statute requires that a Massachusetts man be a Massachusetts man which time cannot erase. His fame is born of his actions on June 16, 1775 on Breeds Hill where the Bunker Hill Monument stands, under the direction of Col. Wm. Prescott, a group of Revolutionists were attempting to erect a breast works when the British attacked. Twice in 1775, the British attacked the American ammunition of Americans was giving out and just as the British officer, Major Pitcairn, stood on a parapet and called to the Americans to surender a rifle was raised; a report rang out and that officer fell, mortally wounded. Peter Salem was robbed of his glory by the loss of its commanding officer. Salem was cited for bravery. The record of his deed lives in the records of the State of Massachusetts; a monument marks his grave in the town in which he afterwards lived and on two different occasions, when historic monuments were erected. His name has been mentioned by the speakers of those occasions.
The National Equal Rights League with headquarters in Boston is attempting to make the observance of Peter Salem Day by the race, an annual affair at which time the history of his life will be reviewed and the race will again be held. The League urges the man for the colonies of which he was a member. On this day, the League urges that in some way, the officials of our land be reminded of the contribution of this man to the cause of freedom and urged to remember the race from which he came by doing all in 'their power to see it that more opportunity is given for its contribution to the welfare of this nation.
MONKEY LAW AND MEN
The people of Tennessee are using their courts in an attempt to prove that it is wrong to teach in their schools that man came from monkey as is claimed by Darwin and other philosophers. The people of Tennessee are using their facts as obtained by carrying on the sort of discussions which have found their way into print for the past two or three years, the legislators of this state have passed a law making this teaching a felony or some other thing that was punishable. The people of Tennessee are not at the front page of nearly every newspaper in the nation and men everywhere are whetting their intellectual swords for the battle of wits which the case will occasion. The members of the fourth estate of the race are entering the lists and are uttering opinions pr and con. One editor of the case will see which is in question a "monkey law." This editor is inclined to go that editor one better and to call those who are raising a howl about the whole affair "monkey mech," for, taken at its best, the whole question is one of opinion in facts as it has been the good or bad fortune of the individual to deal with the law. Facts as obtained from the study of the executions and dis-
coveries of the life of the past warrant them in their claim that man, as he now is, is the result of an evolutionary process that has now become a dogmatic in their interpretation of the Bible, felt that to be the cause of the Bible, to be the scheme of Creation as related by the Bible and to nullify the greatness of God. But after all is said and done; after every state passes laws prohibiting such teaching; after every state breaks these laws are punished according to the statutes of the Bible; after every state published *Scientists will continue to study and to make public their conclusions or the development of our civilization*, which has been founded on the discoveries of science, will if no more laws are passed and the general public is allowed to learn about them, will it be claimed in regard to the matter, it will divide itself into two groups, each with its own opinion, as it will in any case. In the light of the actions of those who are making the greatest amount of noise about the whole question, it is allowed that they should be so dignified as they have been, by claiming that they are the result of such an evolutionary process. The study of all of the specieses of monkey that have so far been discovered, has shown that they have certain well developed traits, which they should be so dignified as they have been, by claiming that they are the result of such an evolutionary process. The study of all of the specieses of monkey that have so far been discovered, has shown that they have certain well developed traits, which they should be so dignified as they have been, by claiming that they are the result of such an evolutionary process. Somehow, as low as they are in the scheme of God's Creation, they have escaped such act:
result of an evolutionary process which has involved the slow development from such as these, have done all of these things and worse, in civilized land and in spite of laws which should have served as deterrents. They have burned their fellows at the stake before their guilt of any crimes was proven; they have taken pregnant women for their victims; and they have taken bee bees has been the signal for a great gathering of all from the world to gather for a great wreck, whose wreck face was most always black, they have grooved around in the members of the funeral pyre for greatly souvenir of these "great" occasions.
Until the occurrence of such occasions as these become memory, men are simply "monkey men" to argue with a case Tennessee. There is much more that is pressing in the mid-19th century, improving their national life which they can do. Ten million men are in the process of moving.

of the countrys; without the right to vote; their women are at the mercy of the brutal of the more fortunate race, peonage flourishes in these states from which have come some of the most illustrious of the nation; and everything but doom and despair is possible. These are brilliant minds who are involved in the prosecution of the case. Let that brilliance exert itself in the greater development of this nation in ways that will make more nearly impossible the successful defense of any claim, that men are the result of evo- cious defense of any claim, More culture, more refinement, more of the display of the unbounded justice to all men, more reliance in the courts of the unbounded justice to all men, and brotherhood in every day life will bring this about.

WASHINGTON, D. C. June 24, 1972. The United States entered the middle of the summer of course, the southern States still just before he died, not only because he was so far as to introduce a bill that would amend the oath, but because could see no difference between the oath, the amendment, and the bill of the lower amendment and the lower amendment of the lower amendment.
If it is necessary to spend millions of dollars on the prohibition amendment it is necessary to spend millions for the enforcement of the amendment to vote in the southern states. It is likely that you will look at the statistics of disfranchisement in the dental election and will to appeal the amendment of the constitution. How can we be half free and half dead? **Enforce All Amendments** How can you enforce one of the amendments without enduring all of the unendangered amendments about enforcement of the war?
