Many Evidences of Graft in Endowment Secretary's Office Uncovered and Exposed
BERT M. RODDY FLAYS LACK OF ORGANI-
ZATION IN NEGRO BUSINESS
LIFE OF TEXAS.
"On the Negro support himself" has been the Negro business for many years. It takes up and discusses a discussion of the right to attention to the work of a part itself. Said he, "in all of the business, he is going beyond that there are three business of business, of money, in marketing, of own and physical support of any business, of why talk of goldman streets and grocery stores, of good goods, stores, for whom all of our lives, because banks have an unending rule that have been forced to live in and on more than whatever there is in the material-material condition. To be when I have mentioned but unmentioned, I have been possible for us to stand before the Negro which I have found true in the business." —(Continued on Page 3.)

The Printers, Undertakers, Banks and Even The Membership Made Victims of Secretary Riddle's Unscrupulous Schemes To Satisfy His Insatiable Hunger for Money

These cheques stand for themselves. They are proof of petty GRAFT which is not to be countenanced in men of high estate, men who are supposed to have the interest of their race and people at heart. In this, he has not been loyal to the Order which he serves. In this he has betrayed the confidence which the people of Texas had in him. AND IF HE WOULD BE GUILTY OF TAKING MONEY FOR HIMSELF IN CASES LIKE THESE, WHY WOULD HE NOT DO LIKEWISE IN BIGGER THINGS?
Such Transactions Would Make a Good Salary in Themselves
And, as little as may be thought of it, the money accrued from such transactions would make a tidy sum in themselves. According to the minutes of the Grand Lodge, there are about 260 persons to die each year. If each funeral bill should average $150, and the Endowment Secretary forced the Grand Lodge to pay the same amount would receive from this source each year $1950. And this is done despite the fact that he is paid a handsome salary by the Grand Lodge to pay these same claims WITHOUT CHARGE.
He Sucks Life From Order in Many Ways
The evidence as discussed by The Expressions that in many ways, this "trusted servant" of the order, who even signs the name of the Grand Master to all of the checks

Whether the Grand Master will do this or insist in such action is purely problematical. BUT HIS REFUSAL TO ADMIT THEM TO NEUTRALITY THAT THAT ARE VERY STRONG REASONS FOR HIS POLICY OF NEUTRALITY. LOYALTY TO THE ORDER DEMANDS THAT A STRICT ACCOUNTING BE MADE. THIS ADMINISTRATION OF GRAFT MUST BE STOPPED, AND THE ORDER MUST BE RELEASED FROM THE THROATS OF ODD FELLOWS IN TEXAS. It has been claimed that this organization is practically owned and operated by the family of the Endowment Secretary, but the corps of Grayan County, which is 500,000 hospitalized and of this Fraternity is decided to Separate Riddle and wife, and that through their connection which is resulting in the success of this organization, the Grand Lodge of Odd Fellows, they have gained the WHICH COUNSELLS THE FELLOWS WIDDLE HIS SALARY.
WHICH PAYS FOR having things; things which prove that the finger of this "trusted servant" have been at the throat of the order for many years and that he has used his power against those who trusted him.
WILL OF MRS. WASHINGTON IS PROBATED
His awe reports to the State for the past few years will prove that this man has actually controlled more than the ordinance he proposed, and that he is in banks where he can supervise it, refusing to obey the laws of the Order and turn it over to the treasury in whose hands it is kept, or to the bank, but preparing the standing of the lodge, by weakening its ability to protect its members.
It is not untrue that he receives some sort of compensation for the use of funds which he so controls. If he would rob the defenseless undertakers and printers of their profits for legitimate work, it is not likely that he would stop at the collection of the interest on the daily of the order in these many thousands which he obtains at his expense.

The Order, become the property of the DES, Mr. Winston Davidson, Washington was the sole executor of the will. The children of the late booker T. Will and will be the resident of Dallas, Texas, the mother and the executors are Mr. A. T. Poniewozik and the executors are Mr. A. T. Poniewozik and the executors are Mr. A. T. Poniewozik. The value of the estate is $1,000,000.
Loss of This Interest Affects Order's Solvency
When the Order loses the interest on such moneys, it fails to protect its policyholders properly. Every rate of these order which operate under the adequate rate law is based on an assumption of 4 per cent interest on their moneys. As men grow older, it requires more to protect them. The money put into the treasury found that amount enough to make up for the added amount needed for the protection. EVERY-DOLLAR LOST IN INTEREST WEAKENS THE ORDER. FOR THE PROTECTION OF ITS MEMBERS THE ORDER -SHOULD DEMAND EVERY DOLLAR OF THE ORDER TO TRANSMIT IT TO THE TRASURBER IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW. That Rumored $28,000 Shortage
SHERIFFS ARE CREDITED WITH LYNCHING DECLINE
In the light of facts which prove that the much "frustured" Endowment Secretary would accept rebates on printing and undertakers fees; would set up and operate a lodge home insurance company; would hold his money home insurance; would hold his money and rob its policyholders of the protection to which they were entitled; who has supreme power even to the point of signifying the name of the Grand Master to all customers. NOT POSSIBLE IN THAT RIMORED $30,000 SHORTAGE!
"During the last three years, the team has decelerated to 20-pers. Dems have decelerated to 18-pers. This is most gratifying and has been 'motion-worthy'."
"The investigation of the Express as made public show- that that the Odd Fellows had purchased through Secretary Hidden second lien notes to the amount of $4,839.18. All of these notes and the lien on machinery which was included are recorded in the records of Harris County. In the case of the notes, the transactions were made in defiance of the State law governing the investment of the funds of restructured orders and short sale. The lien is alleged to have stated that THE ORDER WOULD PROBABLY LOSE $5,000 because of the character of the investment.
Every Odd Follow as well as ordinary citizen is asking WHY IT WAS NECESSARY THAT THESE PURCHASES BE MADE. HOW COULD MR RIDDLE HAVE OVER $14,000? Common case in the handling of his books and accounts would have rendered it almost impossible for this to have happened. That this should have happened shows CARELESSNESS AND WERE SECRETARY RIDDLE CARELESSNESS TO THIS EXTENT AND NOT DISHONEST. WHAT MASON SEASON ENOUGH- FOR ASKING FOR HIS RESIGNATION. Rumor has it that Mr. Riddle had not realized this hung over ministry state auditors showed it to him. Is that true, or is it the reason that this man realizing that he was trusted, knowing that the price of this building had been advertised that $28,000 more than it actually cost attempted to further his own schemes by approving this huge sum of securities which could be of no value to the Order?
THE PURCHASES OF THIS PAPER WILL-BEAR INVESTIGATION. FOR HAD SECRETARY RIDDLE BEEN OF SUCH A MIND, HE COULD HAVE MADE A PURCHASE OF THESE NOTES. A DISTRICT STAFFER IS PARTICULAR ABOUT THE POSSESSION OF SECOND LIEN NOTES. ALL OF SUCH. SECURITIES CARRY WITH THEM THE ASSUMPTION OF A DISCOUNT RATE OF BETWEEN 25 and 80 per cent. Thus in the purchase of these notes, should the Grand Lodge and the Secretary Riddle have made it a opportunity for Secretary Riddle to have made for himself the magnificent sum of $8760.
