OPERATES ON NEGRO
Another young Negro was victim of the mayhem operations which have been performed upon Negroes in this community recently. On Wednesday of last week, Ilmon Mills, an employe of the White and Coke home in the Merry III section of the city, was taken out by a mob and operated upon. The story which reached representatives of the Press, is different and for a cause different from any similar cases.
It was stated to the Associated Negro Press representative that Milligan had had an altercation with the white male cook at the institution some time before and that Milligan had gotten the beat of the argument. The incident had been closed. Milligan thought, and on Wednesday night of last week the aftermath occurred.
Milligan was called to his door by two white men who declared they were detectives. The men were armed and ordered Milligan to follow them. They took him some distance from the city where the main mob was and the operation performed. He was then brought back toward the city and later picked up by a white physician who brought him in the firewater. He people

NEGRO HISTORY WEEK
It is observed that in more cases than has ever before been true, schools, colleges, and other institutions for Negroes are paying attention to the need of a greater knowledge of Negro history by Negroes. During a whole week in this month, several institutions and organizations in the various cities of the country have observed Negro History Week. Special programs have been regarded, among which were the result of conscious study of the various phases of Negro history have been rendered among which were various phases of Negro history have been rendered and is other ways there was a conscious effort made to increase the know, ledge of the general masses.

There are many things of the race are innocent, but in more than so than in the matter of the race, there are many things that leave the well known figures of Frederick Douglass, Dunbar and Dunkar, not only school children but even their parents are forced to attend to all the more pittable when it is realized that these children are as much importance as they are because of the fact that their teachers and teachers of the age and that all of the other figures are as much importance as they are because of the ability to achieve not completely, to be honest, but not completely, to be children, as for their teachers been no attempt made in a situation on the part of Negroes nor a portion of their history became a part of the common knowledge
The fact of this knowledge is noted in the marker of the importance of which was other man and race, not so hampered, to greater achievement, not so hampered, to greater achievement, of that pride in racial accomplishment which makes men such as we are of their ability to achieve, that of their ability to trust in the ability of all who believe that of our own. VIRGINIA'S NEW RACIAL IN
TEGITY BILL
There is a howl that can be heard far and wide going up from the confines of Virginia, where an enterprising member of its literature has introduced a bill which would class as "Colored" any person having any known admixture of Negro and Indian blood and which would definitely prohibit the marriage of any such person to a white person. The widespread effect of the passage and enforcement of such a measure
And that is to be seen when it's good. And the first families of Virginia have heretofore taken pride in pricing their income back to Poeahontas. Famous dip the story of Captain John's first experiences.
One can easily come to the conclusion that this measure will pass in Virginia only after the leaders of all of these families have passed in the "threated" event. In the result of their efforts to keep it from becoming a law. They have no desire now or at any other time to become the victims of the same and not treatment as the "harmless" out of all all these years to "Colored" people. At the mention of such a measure, they at once have visions of "Jim Crow" coaches with all of their efforts to keep their leader in the "threated" events. In the theater seats, no Pullman accommodations for all night travel, discrimination in the matter of salary, housing voting and the other things they were offered. Negrons to become accustomed. In the light of such considerations, it is not hard to imagine that this bill is going to see a hard time in Virginia.
In the case of good by no means be a bad one and its effects might be considered as good for "Colored" people could this measure become law. A first hand is the "long-term treatment" of the Virginia "Colored" folks might do some of our white friends a great deal of good. But that will hardly be at this time.
In the case of good by no means, the "Colored" people can still exhibit of "Nordic superiority"? Doesn't it prove that our "white folks" need our sympathy and help more than they do our consumers?

The latest official estimates of the number of broadcasting stations in the world, places the figure at a little over nine hundred stations and this is 266 that four years since the broadcasting first commenced. Of this number, 560 stations or considerably more than half, are located in the United States.
Canada comes second with approximately 144 stations, most of which are in the eastern provinces. Here, of course, there is also the finest railway-broadcasting system which has yet been developed in the chain of stations operated by the Canadian National Railway.
Great Britain has 21 stations, of which one is a very high-powered station returning to seven a population of 23 million persons within crystal range alone) nine are maintained of 100-15-5000 watts of power, and the remaining eleven are comparatively low-powered relay stations.
Germany has operations and this number will shortly be decreased by two, then that country will possess at least one of the highest powered stations in the world.
France has 18 in Spain there are no far 13, but 2 more are projected. The Russia there are only 3 of which number will be doubled in a few months and before the end of the year it is expected that no less than 30 stations will be in operation.
South American stations are springing up very rapidly and a still greater increase is expected during the present year.

"It was used to those Negro cahots in the heart of the black blacks," Mr. Hartman wrote. "Iain-Benant, surdid Iters and there were white faces, women sheathed in silk, with gleaming necks and arms, smed-in dinner's teats. Nordic faces in this roomful of wide-eye and expeent blacks."

What a few assumption! Picture God's Lewis Thomas is, a member of the cast, are in, in Doston, conforming with Mr. Gabriel's conception of what "Negras accents" ought to be? Such a display of ignorance must belong to a smile to the Brouns and Menkens.
Down South the white and soforted people of a community talk very much alike. Put them behind closed doors and it is difficult to tell which is which. There can be no driving. This many. Segreg is the most important place, but so-white people. To expect a million. Negros to speak in this manner is asking too much. It is not incumbent on members of the race to express themselves in language peculiar to themselves.
The story of "Latfi Hefle" deals with the "Nergo Vamp" who works in nothing but a "no-bank roll and use of case. She is first, as quickly Carmen in Harlem and has been on "Park" where she is arranged in death by a former lover. Nothing, whether or solely special about that. Aside from giving Miss Ulric an opportunity to die, her situation—talent is also the first to be made. It is a personal interest in the play. Certainly, it is not a great contribution to dramatic art. It is most unfortunate the Negro woman is eternally associated with sex questions. In order that her children might educate an adult, Negro glorifying the Negro woman will have to be written by her parents, who will look with favor on producing them in another question. The Negro woman depends on them to do this. If it is not natural that the Negro should be glorified,

England Building World's Largest Radio Station
The greatest radio transmitter in the World—about sixteen times as
powerful as the most powerful
broadcasting station in the United States, is being erected at Rugby
England. This station is to use a
vascular tube to connect which will give a maximum output of the kill-

This plant station is to be used chiefly for communication between

code transmission only.

No phase of the Commission's work has been more unstable than the enlistment of southern womanhood in the campaign. In nearly every State a group of women in positions of leadership and influence has been organized to operate with the various state committees and to promote efforts to long interregional lines in their respective civil and religious organizations. In every case, these women have made strong pronouncements against both violence and favor of even-handed justice for the Negro, particularly in matters primarily affecting the welfare of women and children.
There are two colored men on the staff of the Commission, David D. Jones, General Field Secretary, and Dr. James Band. Director for Kentucky. The colored membership of the Commission is as follows: Dr. and Mrs. R. R. Morton, Mrs. Mary McLeod Bethune, Bishop R. E. Jones, J. R. Pipper and George C. Literature and Answers: Blood Test
A good time for a recovery is to be a good time for a blood disease. It was told after I had a course of treatment that I should occasionally have my blood test in a little country town and do not know where the nearest place is where I can have the blood test made. I would like to know how to go about getting it done. Would appreciate any help that you can give me.

WONDERFUL HAIR GROWER
For nearly 20 years Madam C. J. Walker's Wonderful Hair Grower has stood the gruelling test of womanhood and proved its rare excellence beyond the shadow of a reasonable doubt. Women all over this land and in 29 foreign countries have used it to enliven nerve cells, enrich the scalp, thicken thin hair, soften and silken rough, wiry hair and thousands of both men and women have found this preparation matchless in nourishing and stimulating weakened hair growth on scalps left all but bald by protracted illness. Madam C. J. Walker's Wonderful Hair Grower is not an experiment, it has stood the test of time and is today a proven safe, certain way to have better hair.
