Washington, D. C. March 10—The supreme Court of the United States sounded the death knell for another of the famous racial discrimination memories when it declared unconstitutional the New Orleans aggression ordinance, which he been confidently expected by its supporters to have stood the test of all of the courts of the land. No Opinion Given. Unanimity of Judges Indicated and No Objection. Chief Justice Taft announced the decision without option. It followed the decision of the Supreme Court in law bidding Negroes to vote in the Democratic primaries.
When the decision was brought by Herman Hirsch from decisions against his entire charging the race against the right, under the fourteenth amendment in the Texas aggregation statute, introduced into the present legislature by Representative George Purt of Dallas and sponsored by The Kansas Plan Association of Dallas and all of the Improvement leagues of that state of 184 to 1. It is modelled after the New Orleans ordinance and its introduction in the Legislature was made because of the confidence which its supporters had in its ability to withstand all court proceedings from Dallas, including that toward of the leading attorneys who were sponsored by The Kansas Plan Association.

Both Chief Justice Taft and Justice White of the New Orleans City Attorney how this case could be separated from the Louvainville decision. The reply was that which the Louisiana ordinance had attempted to legislate segregation, the New Orleans ordinance had attempted to legislate the majority race in any neighborhood. This answer apparently amused Chief Justice Taft.
Mr. Chathrop showed the prejudice animating the New Orleans city brief which used the word "mixed marriages" in mixed marriages "segregated."

COOKS AND WAITERS TO CARE FOR INDIGENT
Chicago Illinois, Mark 19—Information has been given from the office of the president of the National Association of Colored Writers and Cooks, Mr. Choyw H. Brown, that the Executive Committee and Marshal of Trustees are not responsible for the security in the vicinity of Memphis, Tennessees, to establish an old waiters home.
On the one side there stands BEDARD L. Wright, Illinois Commencement School. He script and unearth elements of the once-famous organisation which he built up and with which he made political glory for himself and the nation.
This will be, a long way to serve a purpose that is very essential. This organization, less than one year old, has made rapid progress in the education of girls and women. They have succeeded in cementing and strengthening the bonds of friendship and goodwill between them. Their scope of work is to establish in leading universities, chata for the instruction of the culinary program.
The next annual convention will be held in Marshburg, Pa., in the spring of 2015. The conference of both races will be in attendance.

THE DALLAS EXPRESS has never hosted the white rainy weather, neither it here it now. The news of the storm is not afflicted with the flannel mouth. It is an aggressive newspaper, which tries no sail to catch the storm but hits it with the double flag: it professes a patriotism, as brand as our military. Justice covers all the territory, occupied by the human spirit. This is pretty high level of protection, and we are prepering. Days of the press come up and asked with us. This greets us. W. R. KING.
THE FREE SYSTEM MUST PASS
According to the decision rendered last week in the Ohio case, the inquisition foe system of that
the Union must pass. The ruling was to the pass that judges and court officials who are to share in the fines imposed upon prisoners are unit to sit in judgment upon them. In no state more than in Texas was that decision needed more. Not many men practically innocent men and women have been fineed heavily for the slightest breach of the law. Trumped up charges because of the fact that every official from the arresting officer, up to what in whatever of fine was imposed, all too often the cases went the route of that one in which a judge is supposed to have told the prisoner "Boy, I know you are not guilty but you have been this has been true of the thing way cases which have poured dollars galore into the coffees of fecal abattoirs.
The decision, as far as Negroes are concerned is in far reaching, probably further reaching than we have been able to prove. It is true that Negroes have fell the pinch of that system and have been conceived of more distasteful wrong from that source than from the design of the right to vote in the Democratic Primaries.
A Teach society official and general of the minor officers had been indicated and sentenced in peopleness cases growing out of the disclining youths of several white women who were held against their will to virtual slavery. It happened that Negroes had to fight and that at least one conviction has been secured. It might help some in many other cases of which we have heard could it happen that the Negroes who saw the conviction could, could convince, that they would ground just as good for the Negroes as for the white

The decision last week of the United States Supreme with their status in this country and with the actual mind Court, handed down by Chief Justice Holmes, son of the of the American white man. Last week he spoke in Ala' famed poet, Oliver Wendell Holmes, broke the inquisition bama and was almost mobbed by those who did not agree with for many years he has so with his doctrine.
Democratic Primary system when for many years has been disaffiliated disaffiliated the Negro voters of many southern states. The reaction most noticeable was the compulsory demoralization of the heads of the Democratic Party in the many states of the south where that system has been in operation. The Governor of Texas felt disposed to have their permanent. It has also happened many times that Legislature pass special legislation which would stand the test of another court case. Other leaders still other been persecuted and killed. But that has only served to make more definite the truth which they have told.
Whether it will be admitted cheerfully or not, the answer to that man, despite the fact that he was older than the person who answered him, was the correct one to have for the public good, and yet, have long had nothing to do with his age as such. For so long men had no reason to judge, for leadership there are more years we need the synonym for wisdom and good judgment. They are not so solely. The records of the world will

benefited. The life alone is no guarantee of excellence.
It may not be an indulgence only. Joseph Cotter has a well

that particular question it never functions rationally. To think that in this day there should be such a well defined set of citizens who are capable of the old harrison of "social equality," as to voting of Negroes and use of the pollut in the choice of their state officials. It is ludicrous to say the least. Negroes cannot help to choose those who will serve them along with all other citizens of the state and yet they are capable of owning the state. Negroes are not bound issues, in the majority of cases, of choosing their city officials; of suing and of being sued. Ludicrous hardly describes the spectacle which is presented in this instance.
Just four years ago this same Democratic party through some of its leaders who are so loud in their Primary decision made special efforts to give a large Negro vote in the election to the office of governor of the now state of Texas. That effort, and it marked the first time since 1881 that the primary elections had not been equivalent to final election. But that election brought more grief to Texas than could have any other series of elections of the primary kind in which Negros took part. It is a poor commentary upon the real situation, when it seeks to perpetrate its control of affairs upon the people, and the rights to a large part of its citizenry end at the same time would pronounce to the world that it has hopes of making definite progress. Those same Democratic leaders would, almost in the same breath, have told of the provisions for Negro schools and have pointed to the many examples of violence and various communities. Verily, the maintenance of
NOT HOW LONG BUT HOW WELL
In a meeting, a few nights ago during the course of a discussion as to # a best course to pursue in the case of an issue which was of interest to the race generally, one of the older men of this community during his remarks declared that he had been a "citizen of this community for more than a century" and that he must be regarded as worthy of special consideration." The answer to his statement was to the effect that in all of the forty years that he had been in the community he had not helped to succeed any bit of legislation for the benefit of the race, neither had his life been marked by any special accommodations that could be pointed to and that therefore, there was no special consideration due his opinion the

country to the youth and telling them the truth about
American conditions as he views it. Most of the calls she
speaks to Negro youth and his opinions have to do with
things, which, if we look at the facts,
Darrow, if he would live longer, should stay away from the south and its mobs with his conception of the truth. His conception, we said. But if he considers that the gravity of the American situation demands his coming and risking the dangers, let him come. Certainly the truth could be told in no action of America where it is more soldom heard.
Another thing. It weakens the most position of a government leader. For example, American has to play hash-mouth on the dollar of Bangladesh, doing just as doing just a deed in Central America, British has to keep quiet in India, British has to keep quiet in Shanghai. Two thieves loaded with hostile tools on the police are against the other. God! We have weaken from the tide of Pain of Lafayette, of Lafayette in Russia and Americans in America, althy litching was going on in a way to reserve the right to prosecute. Now it seems that this unfounded claim is robbed by humanitarianisation is about to rob us of our legal rights birthright. In industrial, and in professional life the damage for leadership is the most urgent need of this age. Perform the history of the American "Negro" when outstanding, understanding, fierce and then new. Grow up on experience, and give our observers on every hand
The rightism "talk" by this person, the son of a newspaper reporter, is another definite purpose: to KEEP DOWN ANY RIGHTS BENEFITING CHIING LAW OF CONGRESS. The objective was to feel the north. The religious development of the world is so great that we can do to deceive themselves into feeling righteous. And man inluge in a lot of mash of the "liberal sentiment" of the nation, to seize the opportunities other such sleeping potions which they give themselves in order to get Governor Richard knows this. SENATE FILIBUSTERING
"Buses for the governor," the chickens come home to roost — "who digs a ditch," the workers both way — and that works both ways — and a thousand be impressed upon the south side now. When that section used a filibuster to gill an anti-lynching bill, the governor was an heroes. But now that another filibuster has indirectly hindered the governor's efforts, which would have brought a lot of fat graft into southern states. Of course! That and lynching bills was to prevent Vera Browne from burglary, and insurrectional bills were to enable Vera Browne in the Nokawaska Valley and Nevada in the Nokawaska Valley, and—incidentally to put several pockets in the governor's pockets. That's different. "What he wants to hold up the government's
These appropriations, measures and darled provisions for hydration and shelter, are soldiered, cemented and parks in Indiana and North Carolina. Man's Notes
OLD FASHIONED TEARS
If there is anything that makes a man feel helpless and disgusted in the coming heart, Tears, a red face and a violent nose cause him to rejoice in order to get the clouds cleared away rather than because they are in such deep sympathy with the weeper. A man who will invite his sweetheart to weep on his handcrochet; will tell this same sweetheart when they are married not to act.
But thanks to fate, women have become no independent in this new age that they have the grit to roll up their sleeves and get on with their business. They have the realisation that tears may get them what they want but they are cawdron's weapon. There is much more glory derived from a domestic debate or an independent income than from tears. They have the realisation that tears may get them what they want and spied by crying at least a half day to get re-adjusted and it takes may stay confined in this buoyous form that lone. Besides no one can cry to cry on the kinds used now. Even the manufactures have realised the decrease in weepers, and for this reason they have to manufacture something to take the place of tears. They have more of the dainty little silk hanker for sale; they are made to look dainty rather than to absorb tears.
Both the Brave Roes and Fair Colombias are making great progress for the women who have been held at Ajlen Chapel A. M. M. Church, Sunday March 27th. Continue with what Worth this paper for announcement.
