The measure elections which, in this state, are the equivalent of elections, the measure would place in the hands of the execu- The Express notes that less than two months after the elections of this city, the Board of Education drop the names of two members of the recently appointed Negro leaders, given it but it is reasonable to suppose that some facts, worthy of attention, have been behind this section. And *K* is well worth - while - to know the Negro members of the Board of Education in recommendation of those who are considered as the leaders of the city. tive committee the right to place such restrictions as to party membership as it deems fit. It and is reported that the measure has some opposition but in the mash. It represents a concern of the opinion of Democratic leaders in Texas. The present officials are new, in office, and like others of the bury men of this city, have had their own experience. Many Negroes and to shore up on their real relation to the com- punity. They must rely upon the people to them in a political way. He would seem — proper, then that those who have the power of do business in the city would take real care in whatever they are called upon to do. Bedmen should not trust in the way they are called upon to do. It appears that that is the case. As, the case now stands, there is only asemblance in this matter of the Wallace. We are of a Republican party in this state and all because the leaders made aware of many them which have since come to light. And it is fair to suppose that as a leader attracted to it if Negroes were barred, Negroes have allowed themselves to be barred without a dissenting voice. But no great gains in the strength of that party have been seen in some fallen states. And those responsible for the selection of men who could not be retained are negroes as a mass are intelligent enough to cast an intelligent ballot. Their filiteracy now is negligible. They have real leadership. They have proven in a thousand ways that they never nailed them in the body of the president before in all of the history of the United States. The bodies operate in connection in it. It is to be reared. It appears that this right. Why? How can real statesmen justify this THE DALLAS EXPRESS, DALLAS, TEXAS, SATURDAY, JUNE 11, 1927 indicated by attempt to law from 'effortful suffrage a group which in all other ways is generally considered as least a tolerable member of its society. What has assumed the proportions of a lynching wave now is sweeping America and the news reports of each succeeding day bring stories of brutalities on Negroes by mobs of every section of the south and border states. Arkansas started the movement and Mississippi, Missouri and Louisiana took it up. In a single day two such mob murders occurred and in each case the victims were Negroes. Florida had such an attempt to its credit but the vigilance of jailers and the police outweighed out of the lynching purpose. The accused in this case was a white man. Whether the same actions would have characterized the sheriff had he been a Negro cannot be said. DENTAL DEFECTS THAT SHOULD NOT BE NEGLECTED Dr. W. T. Burke It is indeed necessary for one to have their teeth cleaned and polished with a dental mirror, and necessary in order to remove the debris and stains therein which are present on the tooth brush. If these deposits are allowed to remain, tartar forms in crowns, the tooth and beneath the fractures of the gum. This causes the fragrance of the gum. This causes the gum irritation, irritates the gum texture of the teeth, irritates the gum texture of the teeth, irritates the gum texture of the teeth, irritates and poyrhea, but they also cause tooth decay. Thapte "Taking the law into their own hands" is the statement generally made in chronicleing the stories of such happenings. But there is no thoughtful person of any sort in the news. The law is not the story that implied in such a statement. There is no Law of the mob but the law of murder and brutality. There can be nothing like a semblance of justice in the actions of such a murderous group. Take the recent Coffeeville happening for instance and think on the latest developments from that event. Coffeeville is in Kansas and on a day a few weeks ago, it was startled by the news that two young ladies had been attacked by "two Black burly burles." The news spread. Men gathered in groups and discussed the heinousness of the crime. The news spread so that little town was a soothing mass of mobbies, bent on snuffing out the lives of Negroes generally. Rioting began; for the Negroes were determined not to be the victims of simple savage lasts on the part of those whose emotions were so intense. out. "The town was placed under martial law. Bloodhounds were placed on the trail of the "rapists" and these "dependable" sleuths soon located a Negro cabin and the officers who were there had a little more than the ordinary amount of control. They checked up, on the story told by the wronged person. Later, just two weeks ago it developed that there had been no Negro rapists. There had been no attack. The police had wronged doings of those whose skins were by no means black. 'COMRADES CONVERSE' N. W. Warlite Sincile Coffeel The road that leads to Heaven's Is a path that solemn trot. How many hapnes have been robbed of their sole means of sup'p? How many persons have been given the wrong idea of a race because of this mob license which is now confined to no section of this country? It is literally true that the average southern person feels that all Negroes are probable repists. It is literally true that because of the many hapnes to take suspicion of the real guilty parties and it never fails to cause injustice to be done to many innocent Negro members of society. It will never be known how many hundreds of innocent men have gone to their deaths in the past. It will never be known how America. Can this country afford it? Can it continue to exist if this evil is allowed to run rampant? What does the future hold for a nation which is so thoughtless of its permanence? Certainly we are no prophets, but there can be no doubt that ultimate disobedience, legal procedure and the satisfaction of those who "take the law into their own hands," is not far fetched. S. Leu- sner for Sunday, June 13, 1827 By Chas. W. Abington By Chase, W. Abington Tinker, the historian of the Ata, the first African-American to the activities of Peter following his mission at Joppo, Caesarean, and his being called into question by a element of Jews when he returned to Jerusalem in 1948. He was sent to Gentile Corpus. We had him today being delivered from prison in answer to prayer. It is certain that during the time of the Jewish war, and receiving large number into the church. A new element in the Christian faith had constantly gained ground under the pre- pagelistic doctrine. The Jewish rulers found them compulsive to use more stringent threats, the arrears a spread of the new doctrine. Their first efforts threats, admonition and imprison- ment had fallen — even the most honorable man, the man who had only added fuel to the fragile Fame. The Christian movement the point where it could, no longer be dealt with by the religious and military authorities, brought it in brought the fight. It is not certain whether Herschel moved to the Jewish leader with the Jewish leaders authority had been levied. crash out the growing menace— find him at this time taking the leadership of the Gentile Corpus. The Herods. 1. James the Martyred Apostle. It has been noted by most writers, that while two very long chapters are taken up by lakes, and other habitats leading up to and after the death of the despot Stephen, just before the death of the apostle James. He was one of the two sons of Truman, and was a member of the Peter were chosen to be with the Lord on important occasions. Farmer James, the circumstances that James should, modestly and utterly in utter condescension, concordance, with no elaborate entailment, and no prompt of memorial, and no prompt of memorial, and first of the faithful few, who had forsaken all and followed him, filled the warning prophylactic John 16:1. 2:7 It is remarkable that he only certain record of his death. 11. Peter's Life in Jeopardy. If the killing of James was so highly pleasing to them, Herod would grant occasion for the murder of Peter, who had been the spokesman for the apostles and had been the ruler of the people. Peter was regarded as a very important prisoner, and the proceedings were taken to guard him. It was a Roman custom to choke the prisoner's right, to tie him down, to deprive him of deprive or dangerous prisoners the planner was chained between two others, and to double lessees of the escape from prison before, by Peter, who was chained while two other soldiers guarded the gates and halls, in all 15 which served on watches from the prison. III.-Peter's Deliverance. Praiser was the swear word from the prisoner, and it was wonderfully offended. fecitive. It is but fair to pay, that it is just as effective today when it is used in faith, and is commanded to all true Christians. Peter was a messenger, and may be supposed that both Jesus and Peter was over, it is being unlawful to execute a prisoner during his time. It may be supposed that both Jesus and Peter was wished eagerly, to have the time past that they might bring Peter there. There was another group in Jerusalem who was assembled at the cross. Mark, whose prayer was being made without ceasing for Peter, was long for him, but since he is to be tried before his enemies next day he was continued all night. Just before the break of day, white Peter was continued all night. Just before the mother's breast, the angel appeared on the scene, awakens the angel, that is, his gawman gawman, to arise, put on his sandal, gird himself, that is, his gawman gawman, to follow him. Peter soon finds himself in the streets a free man. He fully confines himself that he fully confines himself that he really acts at liberty. Prayer had preceded the crucifixion of the Roman law. 1V1—Peter Goes to the Prayer Meeting It seems that the home of Mary was one of the principal-meeting places of the discipline—it was one of the most important, it is likely the one with portent, it is the one that with the Last Supper with the disciples, and where they may regurgitate the fact that when Peter came to himself, was attested that his disciples went to at once to the house where the prayer meeting was given, and thoseaints with their knees thoseaints with their knees he must have exhaled, as did Ethelbert the monk of Bhanor praying against him for the success of their fight against me. Attack them. Herd! Herd is defiled, white and knocked at the gate, when the maid ones and ask what they were coming to until the door is opened and its doors in and talk how Christ had expected an answer to their prayers, expected a reply to their counting in that was—God has his own way of answering our prayers. 5.-Peter the Prisoner Wins the Battle Agidinus Herod Herod on the throne, Peter in prison, but through prayer the prison was set for the trial and execution of the prisoner on the morning when the stage was set for the trial and execution of the prisoner to find that the prisoner was not there. The guards were not put to death, the wounds counted of the prisoner—hey were put to death, thence wilted plot by women. The Lord was defeated. A few months later Herod is seized with the prisoner by women. 1. The prayer of faith, after whom men are no way to his answer, is sure to find an extraordinary gift in God but ought his willfulness if not ability to grant an answer in question.
