FT. WORTH INSURANCE MAN AND UNDERTAKER
RELEASED ON BOND UNDER FRAUD CHARGE
FT. WORTH, Texas, July 2—According to report, N. P. Williams, insurance man in charge of the offices of The National Benefit Life Insurance Company, and Undertaker Davis, both arrested in connection with alleged fraud in the reported death of George Smith, were released on bonds of $5,000 and $1,500 respectively last week.
Los Angeles Citizens Protest Concerning Vice Conditions
The case, which has attracted much attention arose when a representative from the home office began an inspection of the accounts of the Ft. Worth office and discovered that George Smith, reported dead and the benefits paid out under the terms of his contract was very much alive and living in El Paso. Further investigations lead to the arrest of Williams and Undertaker Davis and after questioning by the District Attorney's office, they were held and charged with fraud.
It is alleged that the investigation is being continued with the end in view of bringing to light still other irregularities which have been going on in this office particularly in the matter of the payment of sick claims on forged instruments.
Doctors, Dentists and Pharmacists Hold 41st Session at Marshall
All of the meetings, beginning with the 'brand opening on Monday night were held in the Masque Mosque. The barbecue was held on the grounds adjacent to the building on property, also owned by the Masques of the state. Reports and addresses of all of the officers of the fraternity were heard at the meetings throughout the week and the reports showed that the total collections for the year amounted to $225,696. 95. There were 369 deaths in the order and each of the $800 of the deceased received, according to report $481,30.
Among the important things done in internal section, P. W. Watte, Ph. C., the associate code from commissioning the clinics was a public institution where the clinics were a public organization on record and recognized the salutatory effects of publication on the health and mental health of the patients. To take a more active interest in an organization in increasing the services for the rural education system, the hospital facilities (4) aiming interest in insurance generally among Negroes and group members of the three men were recruited. A Missouri Pacific train, officers immediately decided that they had the form that Wiley College is in, the longer an institution where however are pointing to the fact that the three men were a given locality or denominational for three people to fail to bear a train coming and they feel that 41 rank of national repote and press one would have scaped.
No disagreements are reported to have arisen during the course of the meeting and none of the proposals of last year were brought up for discussion according to report. It was rumored for a time that the sale of the bank, proposed last year and left in the hands of a committee for recommendation to the grand lodge was not mentioned nor was the proposal for the establishment of a Masone University discussed.

It is always a dangerous thing if one has any regard of his reputation. It is so easy to draw on. We have no limit, except fancy based, and acts as one snow seed them. All from ideas that at first were only ideas, and this means in the future a course. It is with mixed confidence therefore that I write you to inform you of the future progress of your state library at Lausanne University, and to library to serve its people as education.
At present we are anxious to

I will be glad to hear from any

Her Beautiful Hair Has Made
Her the Envy of Other Women!
"There is one thing that is sure" says a popular New York girl, "when your hair is long and straight you're popular—when your flabbob you're neglected." I know because I used to have awfully short hair and the men didn't pay any attention to me at all. Then I started using hair extensions and the difference, amazed me. My hair grew about two inches a month until it was long enough to dress becoming. It also straightened out like magic. I also straightened after girls in town, with a dance or a date every night. Now all the other girls my hair and me are jealous of my hair and my popularity. I owe it all to MI-1. My hair remains a product enough.

In an effort to further make possible the building of homes and

Louisiana has unveiled a statue to "The Good Davies" but as yet it has not seen the reason for furnishing good schools to his children or of protecting his life and property from the many mobs which disgrace the state yearly. Strange reasoning for Louisiana. Wasted money on the mobs and memory of the "good davies." does not carry much weight.

It is a fine comment upon Texas as such that its schools have such rating when compared with the other states of the south and that its teacher training courses rank as high as they do. Certainly, in the state of Texas ago among the teachers in education union, it needed a fine comment which it now shows and particularly was true of the training agencies for Negroes. It is literally true that just three years ago nearly one-third of the teachers of Negroes in the state of Texas were graduates of no school and it is not likely that that condition has been fully changed as yet. It is worthy of note however that there are two denominational schools supported by the state of Texas which are listed among the competent teacher training agencies.
Here are a few outstanding symptoms which will cause you to know better. They are red, swollen and have some what of a purple hue. The gums are bleached freely upon the slightest pressure. The gums are greased. This is where the gums have left the teeth seemingly and the teeth are very swollen.
But the statements of Mr. Caldwell, while highly encouraging, must not be taken too seriously for the reason that his travels-probably have not given him opportunity for comparing the courses and curriculum of Texas schools with the best in this country and it is therefore, wise to reason that, while Texas schools and colleges as well as its public school system have made much progress in ranking rank with the best in the United States and that to become satisfied now means

as yet to boost as a whole of its school system for it is a matter of record that the national tests of southern school children, both white and black, show a marked difference in development and the Negro children, by reason of these tests, have been rated as different mentally from our other tests, have been rated as different mentally from our other states. The reason for this condition lies almost altogether in the school processes and in the type of facilities and teachers furnished for them. Such facts as

these mentioned, in no way contradictory to the published statements of Mr. Caldwell, are matters of record and serve to indicate that, without a comparison of Texas schools and the nation, it is easy to Texas into a false notion of those southern states with national advantages which they enjoy. But is by is no means true that Texas schools and colleges have developed to the point of being the equal of the best in America. And Texas

THE OBJECT AND NECESSITY OF A. M. E. CHURCH LAYMAN'S ORGANIZATION
Jennance is one of the greatest handcaws to an individual or position too long and thus has received a fallen shock of our opportunity. This association aims to be a waken the laity to salt consciousness, respect and power, so we may stand by our faith and our commitment of our great church. This association, together with the law, also stands together first always for the church and then for the author, regardless of all that altar that widens of believing matrice and difference because we, be faithful to the true and consecrated ministry. The time has come when we must widen our viles or Maron to do all our viles and dictate on politics now to say that our church shall not organize and disrespect our approval or disrespect our decision as one event which will have no impact on our institution and respect.
