Do you like to be kicked when you spend your money? Certainly not. No, you always store it in Dalia which do the equivalent of kicking your money with them. You spend your money with them and they will tell you of clocks who actually tell them that the management of certain goods do not have to wait on Negroes if they do. In the light of such facts, it is good to know that those goods you purchase make your business. Their skills will give you your company good for your approval, such as deserve your approval of all others. In the light of such facts, your business may be made by their advertisements in Euro journals. When you sell your goods, you may know that your dollar is a desired dollar in Euro journals. And when you sell them, you check the details in your paper. Just think. Newspapers sell six million dollars a year in Dallas for the price of its imprint ($6,000,000). That amount of money should entitle you to service and descent treatment. Continue to patronize newspapers before they will seek your age and it will not be long before others will seek your service because sought for instead of reaffirmed. Such a result is a tremendous TRONZEER OU ADVERTIRES AND FELL TIME IN THE PAPER.

JESUS PROCLAIMS THE KINGDOM

AN EXPOSITION OF THE SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON FOR SUNDAY, MARCH 26, 1928
By Chas. W. Abington
We come today to take stock and ascertain what has been our neck gain in the accomplishment of the object for which the lessons of this quarter were designed. The primary purpose, as stated at the beginning of this series was to discover, through a study of vivid pictures of Jesus' deeds of power and of his teachings as contained in the Gospel of Mark, the basis for Mark's conviction that Jesus was the earth, the Son of God and how power is the earth. He is a certain individual who has pursued the lesson to decide. Bpt I am bold to say all who have weighted carefully the evidence adduced with an open mind are willing to decide with Mark that Jesus is the Son of God.
The Gospel of Mark gets its fear bearsings From Old Testament prophecy: "Behold my servant whom I uphold; the Son of God and how power is the earth.
He is a certain individual who has pursued the lesson to decide. Bpt I am bold to say all who have weighted carefully the evidence adduced with an open mind are willing to decide with Mark that Jesus is the Son of God.
During four millennia not one among the best who had appeared among the children of men had without orientation of deviation done the will of God on earth, it remained for the Carpenter of Nazareth to appear at John's baptism on the banks of the dordor, for the voice of Jesus to appear on the banks of the dordor, for the world saying: "Then art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Small wonders that we hear Him say as He saw the disappointment of His Father on through the agus as man failed to yield perfect obedience to Him: "Io, come! I desired to do thy will Q my God; thy law is in my heart. The accomplishment of His father's will was the accomplishment of His matchless power and glory constituted the one purpose of His life.
Argin, the writings of St. Mark might be termed the Gospel of the perfect servant. It should be noted that words peculiarly descriptive of a faithful servant, as "straightway," and "immediately," are used seven times in the first chapter of Mark. Here we have Him example of the Gospel of the perfect servant, who healed death, over the death of the cross. The fact is brought out in this series of lessons,—"if the meaning of Jesus to the world is to be properly evaluated the judgment must be based partly on the record of his life, and partly on the results of accepting Him through the ages." What has been the result of accepting Him through the ages? This question is best answered by making a comparison between Christian and Pagan countries. As imperfectly as the actual Christ Life is expressed in our Christian system and institutions, as relates to the betterment of humanity, the difference is so great in favor of Christianity as to render such a comparison invidious. The Gospel of St. Mark is the only Gospel that does our religion is comprehended in one brief sentence, "He went about doing good."
- The text in Acts (10:38) "who went about doing good" proves that Jesus did not pass a life of ease and comfort which is the life of life modern Christianity seems to be seeking. He did not wonder aimlessly around from convention, the church, and social science, but about doing good." It did not, we read, "He sent his disciples out two by two in every place, where he himself would come." He is found at the bedside of the fever stricken. He touched the liver with His own hand regardless not the ceremonial deference that it would occur from town to town—even to curved jerseys. He brought salvation to Zacchaeus the much hated publican. Dr. W. I. Pattison, of the General Council of the Presbyterian Church reports to the Men's Church League in New York City, that more than thirty two percent of all the Presbyterian Church reports to the Men's Church League in New York City, Northern Baptist, and Methodist Episcopal churches in the United States failed to obtain a single convert in 1937. The figures are based on the study of the year books of those denominations, and was given to the Men's Church League by J. Campbell White, General Secretary, 9,289 Presbyterian churches, 9,289 Presbyterian churches, 9,289 had not one convert last year; of 7,750 Methodist churches, 3,474 had no conversions in 1937, and of 18,631 Methodist churches, 4,651 were not able to lead one soul to Christ. "If the name holds for all of the Protestant in America, No" Men's points out, "then I am not able to do anything to bring a single convert into the Christian faith last year." These alarming statistics have set the Protestant commitment to thinking, and rightly so. The question is ask "What is the matter with the churches?" Many fine soon appear are coming from the learned, but the whole question, I think, is explained in the fact that professed Christians, I think, in all and all are failing to follow the exegete of Christ.
Dr. George E. Haynes, Secretary of the Commission on Church and Religious Relations of the Federal Council of Churches in America, is quoted as saying the fault is to be found in the "need of closer cooperative action of Protestant denominations and more aggressive leaders." But bolting it down to our comprehension—it is because the need of today is to apply the principles of Jesus Christ into the world—our religion consists in rites and ceremonies, dry creeds and rituals. He have a form of godliness but persistently deny the power thereof. Wherever American Christianity finds its way in the earth it carries with it, in large measure, its cursed racial antipathy which is more active in spreading his vow of Christ than in spreading his own vow of Christ. Matthew 23:16 were spoken of just such Christians when he said "Woe unto you, serbias and Pharisees, hypocrites 'for ye compase sea and land to make one proset, and to when he is made, ye make him two-fold more the child of hell than yourself.' Why doceive ourselves to be 'Traced a corneous corneous of God' if it is not because of the appearance of a sample we may not except crucifix; if the condition of these angels is based on the Golden Rule.
I was present at several annual conferences in the fall of 1927, and any number of the churches reported not having a single conversion during the year, and many of the largest communions reported on their behalf. The average church it is said suffered from spiritual paralysis — in a strained effort to be what they often term "up-dote," or "chusy," they have neglected the primary essentials of Christian growth. Trying to imitate the white man, they are attempting to suppress their emotional nature—remake themselves in other molds which means spiritual stagnation and ultimate failure. They are still enduring that an empty emotionalism is religion—but the religion of Jesus Christ is truly a religion which carries with it emotion and it will be so. Pentecost created an excitement which aroused all Jerusalem. If you would have a brood of chickens do not put your eggs in an ice box, but under a hen or in an incubator. God has just one law for all worlds — therefore churches cannot get converties without a brood of chickens. God does the average Christian out of his way to do?
The lessons of the quarter just ending sets before us the kind of ministry Jesus practiced and impressed upon his disciples. This ministry must ever be three-fold. Teaching men, the way to God by precept and example; prescribing men, the way to God by example and example; healing men, the sufferings and sorrow of sin-skouts. This kind of ministry is commended to us, for Christ spent the full three years of his ministry carrying out that kind of a program. And Jesus wag about the suffering of the poor, and prescribing the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease and all manner of sickness. "He went about doing good."
The Sunday service at St Paul's Cathedral is quite exceptional. The pastor Dr. W. K. McMillan preached on O.C.M. Maniline. He pleased the congregation and women and women to live heroes, and make themselves subject for the praise of the city, purity and Xian Maniline, many distinguished visitors were present. Dr. McMillan, emphasized the importance that shall bring into activity our adult group for Figure man-pouring. The congregation came the duty of the entire citizenship of Dallas to make the city a place of beauty and day, he will preach a special sermon to the young man, on Y. M. C. A., and its purpose.
