a strong plea for the organization of a World Peace, inclusive of justice to the darkest of sins, and elsewhere throughout the world. He expressed also his belief that the United Nations should be a position to be world leaders in the internationalism of such a movement, and that of the earth a persuasive alternative to the choices which they preside in. He praised the mission and the call of Russia.
The peace which we seek in the world, said Dr. Johann, "in the world, we must be vigilant, the vicious and quiet functioning of the will to righteousness. Such a peace cannot be seized without the unity in the relations of the white western powers alone; it must, include also the vicious function of the will."

We like to see a representative stalk and attack someone to ask and speak courageously, and it may be that in this case the Negro got involved and fought for the rights and said it. It the first time in Staircase's history that the district court heard a record of bodily and emphatic injury.
Could it be possible that the befriends in this case the only a Negro's life was involved? He was forced to leave Harlem in 1920, and women who killed their fellow criminal. Some of them had a cold blood, and escaped with either a light sentence or death. They heard the district attorney declare the judge and the jury.
Like the authorities who con-
The members of the race who, in their unilateral zeal to help in the selection of Herbert Hoover as next Republican presidential candidate, joined with the illy white machine of Mr. Creager and came to the Dallas convention are saddler but wisher today. Despite the help of Republican officials in their counties, and those counties were few, the Creager convention actually elected fifty two delegates and alternates together with state delegates and presidential electors and refused a place to a single member of the race. The bulk of the Republican strength in Texas is Negro, plaint to make with regard to the position of those race members who have had the temerity to brave the very disdainful Creager methods. Texas is by no means anti-Hoover and members of the race are Texans. But today all Texas and members of the race in particular are wondering just how the mind of Mr. Creager works with regard to the help which the action of his convention has given the cause of Hoover. The Express in particular feels that the chance of vote getting is now much smaller, than it would have been under different circumstances.
The bulk of these Republican attempt in Texas is Negro. And even though these votes have been distranchised during the past few years due to the attitude of the Cresger regime, it was believed that the plea for harmony in the party by The Independent Colored Voters League and the attempts of members of the Cresger regime, particularly in Harris and the other three counties which sent Negro delegates to the Dallas convention, would have led the Cresger leaders to put aside their lily white policies, at least to the extent that they would have seen that this would increase the power of their delegation. But they did nothing of the sort. They directly slapped the faces of the most consistent Hoover booster and further jeopardized the chances of their candidate. For the statements of Hoover Negro leaders like The Houston Informer and its editor and others from different parts of the state who had waged such a relentless campaign for his support in spite of the reputation of the machine which boosted him, had borne fruit in some quarters. National Republican leaders may see profit in continuing their support to such leadership in Texas. They may feel justified in upholding the machine which has sought and, which still seeks to oust the only Republican Congressman from his place and which directly and with mollice afore thought denies representation to the group which will be responsible for the majority of votes cast for the Republican candidate for president; but to the Express, such a course looks very much like party suicide. The actions of the Cresger crew in allowing their representatives to include members of the race in their state convention and then of denying them even a shred of national representation cannot help Hoover.
PROGRESS BECAUSE OF PRIDE
There can be no doubt but that all of the members of the race who elected to follow the dictates of pride and the urge to acquire again the right to participate in the councils of the party of their choice feel amply repaid for their action by the results of the convention of Monday. As was to have been expected they and their leaders were expelled from the Creager convention. But even in that expulsion there was room for self congratulation. That convention broke all of the laws of orderly and democratic bodies. It would have barred even a member of its own ranks, one of the State executives. It attempted to heap dishonor on the national standard bearer of the party which it professes to serve and by the grace of whose name it has lived in Texas. That same convention, by refusing to give representation to the group which is the largest supporter at the pills of the candidates, still further proved the wisdom of the attempt to change the management and to malfuse of the party in the state, the virile organization which it is not now.
The separate and move representative gathering did all of the things which the Creeger machine refused to do and by reason of that fact, opened the way for such progress of the party within this state as has never been seen so far: xuxua juzu jyojo acquoum u uaab paalam sauq ipinow before. That convention, announced its policy of inviting all Republicans to place within its folds. It deplored the policy of exclusion which for the past years has been responsible for the continually losing Republican votes in state contests. It went on record as endorsing to the highest the splendid record of Congressman Hurry Wurzbach. It declared all of the offices of the present machine vacant and arranged to fill all vacancies. It resolved to work during the convention in Kansas City for a new and more equitable scheme of representation in the state convention. (As this case now stands under the Creeger regime counties in which there are no Republican voters at all have representation to a larger extent than some of the most densely populated precincts in the state.) And that convention elected four state delegates and four alternates from the state at large to represent the group in Kansas City. It might be well to note in passing that forty percent of the congressional delegates and one of the four delegates at
THE DALLAS EXPRESS, DALLAS, TEXAS, SATURDAY, MAY 20, 1928
can be no doubt but that the three hundred men and women,
who met in separate convention Monday will somehow get
the hearing that their can deserves.
THE RECORD WAS TOO GOOD
Southern states have few record to too good. Proof be found in the fact that two the ink cooled in the many parts of the country when it been a lynching for the first America just couldn't make more innocent civilization. therefore to depart from the policy of aggression which has so long characterized the major interrelationships with the darker peoples everywhere Secure possessions of industrial machinery and resources of the western world, the danger of loss by vengeful translation, places them in a position to render to these several darker peoples which they will be glad to receive and adequately to pay for.
Southern states have felt that the American lynching record was too good. Proof of that statement is to be found in the fact that two Negroes were lynched before the ink cooled in the many editions which came from parts of the country when it was learned that here had not been a lynching for the first four months of the year. America isn't cank't maintain its self respect. Southern morons and mobbists really have no desire for a record of civilization. And yet the four month record stands. In time it may be bettered. But the two lynchings within as many weeks point unmistakably to the fact that much progress must be made. Lynchings must cease.

A general idea of the mind of the Delegates "bases" may be had when that convention elected $2 delegates and alternate as well as all three delegates from the state at large, not a single place even as an ablest single member of the race. The misconception never even came up as far as they were concerned. That delegation was Y. G. Gore, Texarkana; H. P. Carter, Houston; M. C. Fier, C. K. Kinsa, Galveston; H. Mima, Houston and six others whose names it is worth of note, though that the leaders of the delegations which brought these men into office were some place in the national delegation Question Now Up to the National Committee Both ideas are confident of being bicentennial convention open in Kansas.
Though the names of all of the race leaders present were not old, our names to our all-thing, the race leaders do will do well after this situation, from all parts of the state we warrant, but if you have prepared for the convention headed by the it, it will only be a matter of mild anti-Creator leaders. In an echo of trumpetty and a bouncing salute the names of five great Americans were given a new name. Their bureaus were unveiled in the New York University, Hall of Fame. The honored were Louis Kahn, the architect; John Paul Jones, attorney; John Paul Jones, admirer; Samuel Finnery Dresser, Morse; John Greaseal Whittier, poet.
The editing was colorful indeed. Cups and vowels of learning, gold and silver, and freckled ones of the bar maniagged. Four white robbed women added to the lustre of the collar of the dress of the occasion of Dr. James Weldon Johnson in the cafesmores of the chateau, a occasion a firm amuse- one. **Gather on Five Pages.**

WILL business firms, sometimes abundantly in the matter of advertising and sales even penance, send to their competitors Probably many firms find that a certain amount of extravagance is required by business. Certain it is that the firms which have tried to do business without expense have ended up by having no business so when an advertiser invests ten thousand dollars in the back cover of a magazine, you can count on it that he know that what a man can spend on man can spend, expenses appear to justify. But in the warehouses of advertised products are all advertisers targeted for promotions and are forced to out for the markets of the world without payment or complaint of trouble, and almost without the need of salenem.
