Landon earned kick off to, Wiley for four points, Landon and after an exchange of points Wiley pinned Williams his star point. Landon entered a drive which landed him in third place, but not back of last year. An ex-courtney and after a series of foulthy and after a series of hard-hit bucks short-short cannon shots, the third quarter to a close without a Wiley's 2-yard line, on an off-tackle play on the 1st touchdown of the game. Wiley counted the extra quarter at the besting of the fourth quarter. Landon found themself in the second.
Wiley's line was not holding the powerful line bucks of the real Lester Jackson, a fresh green material into the racy early. Wiley's arm around Hardin, whose return of points brought the crowd to their Langton, to Wiley's ten yard line was received by Hardin who rejoiced. Hardin broke field run which brought wild cheers from the Wiley "piece" Hardin brought fear to the hearts of both Langton and Wiley. Hardin brought fear to the hearts of both Langton and Wiley. Hardin directly in front of, or him, caused those who supported him to fear them, then his supported Langton, to fear that he would not be stopped.
Charleston, West Virginia, Oct. 26. **30** The record of the Democratic candidate, should prevent any member of our group from supporting *A* in Smith in the forlending of the money. Martin Dorsay, and Mrs. Dorsay should know that record as she has lived to 101 years and has seen the Democratic party in the South and the defeat of practically every manure introduced to the man, at the hands of the Democratic party.
Mrs. Dorsey was born July 28, 1847 on a plantation, in Pennsylvania. She later moved to Parkersburg where she married Thomas Burton and with the 19th Regiment of United States Colored Troops. Following her service, "The papers" for this grant is one of her most treasured possessions, a declaration that "because of the Republican party, the government has given her the right to vote."
When asked if she was going to vote, she said, "Yes, I will. And I examined." "Yoyaf," Why child I've voted ever since that Republican Congress made me vote. "And I'm going to vote for Mr. Hoover and my children," Republicans educated them and they better vote - for Mr. Hoover. "And I told Colored folks would go with Al Smith. Will if they do. I go mow the lawn. Will if they do. I be associates with Tom Belin. Al Smith can do for me doing, as not to a my word bone. Cole I want to do that. Al Smith want to do that. He appets to me. He appets to a third since he been governor and especially to me being president." Democrat and I know that they don't mean us any good. I have four children. I have two children. At the beginning of the fourth quarter, Langer found themolle- tion in the ball on their own ten yard line. Wiley's right end for six yards but the lone ball on Wiley's right seemed to be the turn of the game as on the next play Hardin's side made a pass to Reynolds and Reynolds hit off tackles for four yards. A pass was tied for forty yard line. After a tie at ten yard line, a try was intercepted by Hardin who ran out of bounds after a twenty yard line. After a try at ten yard line, a try at the line made no gain. A triple play was incomplete and on an odd tackle play Reynolds stunned ten yards, for first down, and on an odd tackle play Reynolds stunned twenty yard and touch down. Hardin kicked toal. This is a restatement of the time worn policies of the Democratic Party and is a reminder of the party's civilized party. Neros who are supporting Al Smith and are talking about it have it to the Colored people of this country to explain how they support Jim-crow car laws, and oppression, and at the same time, support a set of principles the declarations issued on the membership blanks by the Alabama Women's League for Civil Rights.
If AI Smith is elected with the support and aid of this league or other organizations, she can make their appearance in the District of Columbia with her own car. AI Smith will have to take it, and like it. This is the option of Negritos, who live in the situation and are free. In their condemnation of the new Negroes, they are more interested in Mr. Rockefeller than in their own-issue and welfare.

It is to be hoped that he will come out of the muddle with a clear record. But that that is highly unlikely is to be gleaned from the fact that already in Chicago there is some opposition to his Congressional candidacy and it appears that the days of the huge vice ring in that city are practically numbered.
Any arroonance, reflection upon the character, standing or reputation of any person, or any appear in the scenes of THE DALLAS EXPRESS will be glad corrected and the publication will be a confirmation of the publication:
The first-thought on such a situation as this one of pity for a lost opportunity. The eyes of the race all over the country had been turned on him as the probable standard bearer of the race in the halls of the nations congress. The world was eagerly awaiting the outcome of that struggle for place which was bound to occur over his contest for the place. But now, even though the contest takes place, there will be a hint of regret that he could not have gone in with unassailed hands and with reputation completely clear. In the event of hands and with reputation completely clear, the atmosphere of Negroes" and though time may clear the atmosphere, nevertheless, there will be less of satisfaction than would have been true under other conditions.

It may as well be realised now that the days of the older type, of politics is rapidly passing in this country. Venerality as it is known in Chicago politics will become a thing of the past. Events now point to the complete ostracism of graft as a regular accompaniment of political participation. Spoils must take such form as is not easily traceable for the ferreting eyes of those who are contending, whether sincerely or not, for honority in government of all sorts. In

Preparations are now under way for the annual Community Chest drive out of which the deserving poor of the city have been awarded prizes and awards are Husband. Prof. T. W. Pratt has been chosen as the leader of the Nike division and the completion of the committee which will be responsible under way. It is estimated that the Community Chest last year helped more than 13,000 deserving persons in Dallas and that through time of the city in many ways was failed to a much higher level. And this year as was the last year, every citizen of Dallas is being asked to contribute large amounts of work or upfit and a movement.
Negro agents share nearly all this work of improvement and the benefit coming to them directly from the work of the community, which they have given to the support which they have given in former years. There should be no hesitation in preparing to do the really generous thing in this regard and of helping in every way possible to complete the successful. Let us begin now to think in terms of larger giving than over before. The railroad of Texas should have had, representatives present at the Wiley-Langston game in Dallas this week in order to have observed the posture of recent visitors to the site, including of several the hands of the visitors to the State Pair in automobiles. Time was when the
discrimination or railroads could not be at all and self-respecting, the passion of the pursuit, the passion of the pursuit, with the increase of gold rounds and the more liberal financing plans or automobile companies, however that day has passed and every hero gathers at the railroad station where he travelled by road than by plane who have come over railroad. Eventually they may file it financially profitable to keep the rewards of the rail for better accommodations.

NOTES
The hopes of Chicago Negroes for a Congressman, probably have gone glimmering with the recent indictment of Oscar DePriest for connection with the graft ring of Mayor Big Bill Thompson. He with others has been accused in the wholesale investigations which have been going on in recent months in an effort to check the rule of gangland in that great center, and now he faces court procedure and disobey as the result of it.

The Express along with others has been wondering about the evident refusal of the leaders of the Republican party to cultivate the vote of the southern Negro masses. It has repeatedly pointed out the good effects which are possible in Texas the leaders of the party but come to realize that there is definite chance of winning the state for the Republican candidate by this means. They still give no sign of desiring that this be done, contenting themselves with the doubtful policy of allowing matters to take their course and relying somewhat, it is supposed, on the almost inherent love of the Negro for the party which gave Lincoln to this country.

THE HAPPY GOLD LUCK SOCIAL CLUB
But even though that seems to be the policy and though there is disappointment at the prospect, nevertheless there are possibilities for tremendous good for the race as such. Without cultivation its individual voters are bound to do a type of independent thinking which otherwise might not be done. And out of the processes involved there, will arrive gradually at a degree political reasoning ability which will make possible greater successes in future time. As conditions now stand, particularly in Texas and all over the south, they are allowed to take their choice between two parties, neither of which is evidencing participation, have a record which is by no means particularly to their liking and, as much as they are far as their support is concerned, they will have given such support according to their sound judgment and not at the blinding of sentiment.
Politicians who take lightly the trend of southern Negro voters to Alfred Smith should have been in Dallas recently and talked to Oklahoma Negro leaders who are not only definitely committed to the candidacy of Smith, but who in addition are receiving all of the Klan literature from the headquarters of that organization and from the anti-Negro sentiment which Republican supporters are creating in their effort to elect Herbert Hoover. That such a type of campaigning gives pains to those who are attempting to support him on the representations made by party leaders who have been critical of the party toward Klu Klu sentiment, goes without saying.
THE METROVIAN MAN TABE
NACLE CONTEMPLATIONS MORE
TO NEW ARMS-MORE CONVENIENT OWNERS
Of course such propaganda is the result of an attempt to influence Democratic votes in the hysterical south. But the fact remains that the leaders of the party will go to the length to which the Republican party will go in order to achieve success. And it will finally resolve itself into a situation in which the same reasoning power of voters will evidence itself, a Ding which the party will go to.
