We are in receipt of the program for the forthcoming 28th annual session of the National Association of School Teachers, which will meet at Port Worth November 28-December 1, 1922.
This organization is allied to the teaching in the colored schools of Texas, could do a real construction of a school would get down to business and comes to make the organization a more honor-passing body and social organization.
The election of a different president annually and his inability to put over a reservation will return to his successor, makes it well impossible for this organization to put over a reservation. He holds both elections and then creates the office of executive secretary, who could be reservationist. He must retain the services of the one functioning in mid office.
This would give the association a chance to elect a president annually and himself invisible to succeed himself. Anybody can hold meetings, but it usually can hold over a mere

MITCHELL FEARS BOOZIER'S ACTION
Boozer asks State to Defend Rights and Title—Publication of Saturday, Sept. 15, 1923, Causes Actions of Boozer—Seeks Charter for Queen Esther Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
I wish to inform all officers and members of the Queen Esther Grand Chapter, Order of Eastern Star and the King Solomon Grand Lodge, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Texas, that I have asked the state of Texas to defend our rights and title against C. L. Mitchell and all his followers, from using the name and title of Queen Esther Grand Chapter, Order of Eastern Star of Texas, by granting me the original charter.
Should the state of Texas grant me my request, Mitchell will have to submit his subordinate chapter charters or warrants. That ought to be a lesson to all his associates and followers, for it shows that he must be more muscular right to do any more Masonite work in the state of Texas. Please notice the next issue of this paper for final decision. Fraternally. (Signed) -N. N. BOOZIER, 33', G. M., 303 Lincoln Theatre Bldg., Houston, Texas.

BACK DECEMBER
Much interest centered in the visit of W. F. Biedron, Marshall, grand master of the W. F. Biedron Museum in Texas, to this city last week, when he and Grand Secretary H. McRuder, then president of the University, consummated a big local deal, buying the notes of Becthiel Church, hold by Contractor Curt Curt, amounting to $1,000.
In turning over the paper to the lodge officers, Mr. Curt stated he had had since he had entered the lodge, and again demonstrates to the public that the order is sound and in hand, and again hands it on. On Tuesday night, December 4, the grand master will return to Houston in bands of help, and last week friends. Grand Secretary C. H. Me.

‘The ease with which certain local members of the colored race
can commit crimes and then get off easily, or, if indicted, get
light sentences or be acquitted (where their victims are members|
of their own race), is doing our race and community an irreparable
injury.
‘The Informer does not condone crime among any people, nor
does it endeavor to sit in judgment, but this paper knows that
when men will yank out revolvers and fire indiscriminately and
promisevously on the streets, often maiming or slaying innocent
bystanders and passersby, such characters should not be turned
Joose on society to run at large and become a veritable mad dog,
raging maniac or gun-man.
‘The Informer believes in the majesty of the law and supremacy
of ight bat, when deaperadoes, arch criminals and socal menaces

a reactionary effeet upon both our race and the social fabric.
‘What man is there among us who would knowingly and willing

streets of the ety and possibly pounce upon and inject his poison
into the bodies of men, women and children?
Where is the man who would tolerate a deadly reptile or fe-
rociotis animal to stalk abroad throughout the community and
strike down innocent and helpless people, without this man putting

How can the colored race become better, morally, when the race
is blighted and dwarfed by such an extremely large colony of these
dangerous characters and society menaces-—persons who should
be serving time in some penal institution or reformatory school!
Conditions are rotten and alarming in this respect in Houston,
and this city may not be any exception to the general Southern
ule in this respect, especially when and where all the principals
are of ebony hue or identified with the colored race.
But, on the other hand, even in self-defense and in honor of the
chastity. and sacredness of his home, if black man happens {0
