RETRIEVE OIL CORPORATION
The Retrieve Oil Corporation, which was organized about two years ago by Houston colored people and whose vision of H. L. Mimu, a geologist of this city, started drilling Wednesday, has been able to trace creat t on the Humble road, about seven miles north of Houston. A. B. Timber district, and who has been interested in oil development in that section for the past 12 years, secured a permit from Timber district, and who has been thought favorable for oil production. Mr. Mimu then made a location for the oil production, and is already drilling as stated above. Application has been made to the management of the road commission for a permit as required by law, and all other formalities complete with the management that they are in the oil business and not in the oil game. The informer has identified the first venture of the kind in the South, where a colored man has been working and secured the development.
