This now undertaking establishment is located at 2092 Dowling street, corner Pierce avenue, and Mr. McCOY has completely transformed the interior and exterior of the New Bed building, and has one of the most beautiful places of its kind in the city. ELKS HOME SCENE BEAUTIFUL PARTY BY MRS. P.E. SMITH The Elk's home was the scene of an afternoon whist party when Mrs. Porter E. Smith, 1418 Live Oak street, was hostess to a very beautiful afternoon when she met the owners of Mrs. Henry T. Brock, Jr. of Berkeley, Calif.; Mrs. Percy Coleman of Central City, New Mexico, and Mrs. Bertram P. Hicks of New Orleans, La. all three belong former House of the King, 8:30 to 10:30, when the hosts awarded the guests' prizes of handsome vanity and color and colorism to the son, who won the highest score. Afterward began the very artistic service of greening and pink linen, carrying the guests to the house and into the afternoon. In addition to the very 'comfy' and chic home of the Elk, Mrs. Bertram P. Hicks as her decorations. About sixty pretty dressed ladies were guests, all of whom were in attendance during spending a superlatively delightful afternoon. mollycodies) will stoop to such low and mean tricks. When we open a letter one of the ladies who it is from before we read it, and if there is no name signed to it, we will send her it goes past We are molllycodies talking over the phone or receiving pede-information via the telephone. Pay no attention to anonymous men who purpose to give you information; we are the weapons of the damnable, disbelief and despicable specimens of South's Greatest Weekly Newspaper Mr. McCoy is one of Houston's most popular young business men and his rise in the business world has made him wish him well in his new line of business endeavor, and fraternal strife be a trante of Baptists the member of the Pilgrims, Masons, Protestants and Hotelmen's Benevolent Associes. Until the telephone company has installed his phone at the underside of the building, he will ready to handle any, kind of funeral, or small, can be reached even over the hill. FLYING CIRCUS UNUSUALEVENT TO BE REPEATED The Beesle Coleman Flying Circus at the Houston Aerial Transportation Center in Houston will be one of the most novel entertainment ever pulled off in this neck of the woods. The Beesle Coleman's flight is a parachute jump into a daredevil stunts are distinct features of this circus in the sky, but many of them are more dramatic and matter. About a billion thrill of the evening and of a lifetime were fearless matters. About whom were women, take a birdwatcher view of Houston from the sky. The sky was a big drop off the ground got a kick out of seeing his friends go up and speeches were needed to say that this was the first time the colored public of the city was needless to see that the city is needless to see that they disprove the city, and the management was more than glad to see them disprove the city. The only difficulty experience is in carrying them up with people so fast as they wanted to go. On account of various Juneeast events, the crowd the public is clamoring for a repertoire. In answer to this request another circle will be held in an early morning. OFF TO S. S. CONGRESS Among Houstonians attending the P.F. U. and R. S. Congress at Houston, he was a member of the Burdett probt. W. L. Davenport, The L. W. D. Davenport later winning the prize trip offered to him. CONGRESSMAN HAMILTON FISH, JR. WHO LED NEGRO TROOPS IN EUROPE. SCATTERS GEN. BULLARD'S "BULL" "According to General Bullard's own statement the 2nd DIVision was under his command and no other NEGro soldiers of cowardice and inefficiency because of the mishandling of the attack, so it is fact that they were only called on to attack on November 10th and 11th AFC, and not the Army and accomplished as much as any other division in that attack, one of the worst attacks on the aid of some white troops which had gotten into a tight place. If the attack had been made to the aid of the Army should be placed elsewhere than in this division when the First Army in 1938, there might have been some reason to reproach the colored recruits, but in the November offensives the NEGro soldiers on poor leadership there was plenty of time to reorganize the entire outfit. If it were deemed necessary "In my judgment this unwarranted attack on Negro soldiers and charging them with cowardice is withholding" (Continued on Page B. 8). Bullard was connected with the 92nd Division of the American Expeditionary Forces, and states that the colored officers under him, as well as soldiers of color, were a monumental joke, or words to him. Alabama, where a colored man has no rights that a white man is bound to respect and having been cultured and trained in the Southern University of Negropholia, graduating cum magna laude, it is not surprising to The Informer to see General Bullard vainly trying to uphold the traditions of his alma mater and section and to show that there is something after all in a list for, verily, General Bullard is certainly "shooting the bull". In the German officers often commented upon the heroism赦idity of the "black devils" (so dubbed by the boches behind hell could not stop the colored troopers), to say nothing both and other American commanders and high military officers these colored soldiers were as cowardly and inefficient as General Bullard paints them in his "bull"-sheviki syndicated articles, then why would General John J. ("Black Jack") Pershing, highest military officer in A. E. F. Durham, put prizes high for their military skill and dependent on the field battle. Another thing: If General Bullard remained as far from the lines of battle as it is reported some other officers did during the military clashes with the Germans, then the poor fellow was unable to see, not hardly with highly magnified field glasses, just as the German officer described and not as one having authority and first-hand information. From the fall of Crispus Attucks on Boston Common in 4776 to the storming of the fortress of Metz in the World War, this General Bullard is the first high American officer to ever charge the enemy in the battle of Metz and afraid to acquit himself on the battlefield as a true soldier. Despite the fact that he was a slave during the Revolutionary War, the set-to of 1812 with England and the Civil War, the Negro temporarily cast aside his chains and fetters and helped to liberate America from British oppression and to save the union from disunion. Even granting for argument's sake what General Bullard charges is true, in whole or in part, who is responsible for such conduct on the part of the colored officers and soldiers? What does General Bullard's own home state contribute to institutional, moral and military development and training of its colored troops? Does the general expect "boys" (that what he and his all his called Negro men in the South) to acquit themselves on the firing line like men? Why does Brew Ballard" and expect so much of the Negro soldiers whom it came to shooting and killing those white men (German), when right in Alabama, Bullard's home state, they will lynch a colored man or woman for daring to merely question the veracity of a white man or white woman, or for walking too near them on a sidewalk, or for driving too close to white people in the street. What youths have had access to West Point, Annapolis and the other military schools of the country, while only four combatant units in the regular army have the only openings for the colored youths of the country; save during recent years when New York and Illinois permitted the organization of the Negro youths to serve as national guardmen. Only a blustering and bull-shooting swachh-buller would fly to print and condemn officers and soldiers, even The Houston Informer South's Greatest Weekly Newspaper PLANS EXTENSIVE OPERATIONS M. A. S. H. L. MIMS, Pres. Retrieve Oil' Corp. CROSS TIMBERS TEST REPORTED IN GAS The Retrieve Oil Corporation's widow on the Sid Westheimer dairy farm and on nine miles north of Houston, and on two miles south of Houston, be road. It reported to have drilled into a lively gas strata between 600 and 800 feet, and that a slightly shut down to set casings, and 700 feet of 12-inch is now being set on the ground, a short distance from the site of the well. wethemen farm, which was drilled to about 800 feet; The test was located and is being drilled by the Retrieve Oil Corporation, a company with three of three tests of 3600 feet in the hope of thoroughly exploiting the under lease—Houston Chancellle. (Editor's note: The Retrieve Oil Corporation is a colored concern. The company is the most eminent geologists of the state, who stated to an Informer reporter during the week that his company in his own command, without some tangible evidences to substantiate his charges and allegations; for it requires little, if any, brains to villify, condemn and anathematic people, especially when said people are considered and regarded as the "underdog," and when such denouncement and journalistic visection strike upon them, the case in the South when jumping on and snapling the Negro Being such a true son and typical protege of the South, our General Bullard just could not resist the ever-present temptation to "give the 'niggers' hell," and the poor, misinformed and misguided army officer—who even saw service with the colored troops—was forced to surrender his snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, after the white officers and soldiers had beaten a haスタy and "strategic" retreat—showed lack of familiarity with his subject matter, judging by the manner in which former white officers in the A. E. F. are condemning Bullard and resenting his slurs and aspersions cast upon American Negro soldier as a combatant and commissioned officer. MRS. CATO GADDY ND MORE Mr. Cato Gaddy, one of Houston's well known and highly respected city officials, has the family residence in Chanveyville, the end coming as a sequel to a long career of most eminent informers who stated to an Informer reporter during the week that his company Really, if General Bullard were as dense and ignorant in military tactics and maneuvers as he is about the heroism, bravery and efficiency of the colored American soldier, it is small marvel that men under him would show cowardice, inefficiency and ignorance! Like priest, like people, like general, like officers and soldiers! Why this belated effort to try to discredit colored commissioned officers and soldiers in combat units in the late European martial holocaust, and that by a man who owes his life today to colossal warfare, is a matter of fact, the reverse is the case; for numerous colored fighters and entire regiments were decorated and cited for bravery and heroism under galingen fire by both France and America, and some of the most daring and heroic exploits of the war are the stories of these soldiers. It is too late now for General Bullard, General "Bull," or General "Bull-sheikil" to endeavor to dim the lustre of the colored soldier's achievements on the battlefields of Europe or to take from him any of his merited honors, which he made possible by his struggles on the shot-ridden and sanguinary battlefields and in the safety and seclusion of some general's underground tent. The Informer does not even dare to assume the position that some few colored soldiers may not have violated their oath and obligation and demonstrated that they were "yellow" under fire; they were not brave enough to carry out unanticipated units, then we are perfectly willing for General Bullard to have his little say and get all the glory and satisfaction imaginable and possible out of his "bull" story about the cowardice, incompetence and inefficiency of the Negro officer and soldier in the World and particularly those connected with his division, the 92nd Selah! plans to extend its operations into two new semi-permanent fields: the North Carolina Oil Corporation and the North section and the Guadalupe territory near Seagull, Mr. Mimu also said that the company has offices in the Odd Fellow Temple (suite 415), the Odd Fellow Temple (suite 415), and without pay; that the company declared and paid its first dividend during the year; and that the company, Mr. Mimu, "retribs Oil Corporation in the oil business and not in Wednesday evening, June 24. Miss Robbie L. Broyes, daughter of Judge Robert L. Broyes, former Houson resident, is a member of the graduating class. MRS. CATO GADDY NO MORE Mrs. Cato Gaddy, one of Houston's hospitals, had her respected cottage, recognized by the family residence in Chanvilles, the end coming as a sequel to a host of her own stories. From Bethel Baptist Church, of deceased was a member, Thursday GRADUATES INFORMOGRAMS Governor Ferguson, in issuing 45 pardons to colored cavies on the minds of indiscriminately fired on the minds of 18 million, the full meaning of "manipulation." A matter of 200 miles, more or less, should not stand in the way of the adventurer Amundsen, who has been involved in the action, after being lost for the last two months. Doc Cook, who was proved, came back with slowing progress, yet still fled, while in truth he had not been anywhere near 500 miles of it. Amundsen is entirely too modest. After many attempts by federal authorities in Galveston to "dry up" what was left of the ship, tried out. Among those served with citations may be贤 and even the bay is still as wet as usual. Another polar expedition set out for the "top of the world" last from Wisconsin, a little port of Maine. The governor of Maine has already laid claim to all and all lands discovered by this, the McMullen and stand law will obtain in these lands. If so, we hereby renounce all claims against the government by right of previous discovery. Won't it be a great day in the history of this grand and glorious Southland when each headline as is, "Hurricane Katrina" or "read Woman Hurt in Crash" as is used in cases when human beings are mentioned? It appears that our daily papers begin the Juneteenth at sunset on the 18th and extend it to sunrise on the 20th, when it comes to choreologizing for the celebration of Juneteenth. For their information we wish to note that Juneteenth consists of a celebration and all we can do is not please don't give us credit for doing. Senator Robert M. The matter has all been thrashed out through the malls, Fort Worth and Dallas were so hot that it is said two railway postal clerks are carrying handged hands. So many people, both white and black, have a peculiar notion about the time the columns of the dailies have been full of criticisms on the print industry of crime, and whether said news didn't increase crime and criminals. It was the grand secretary of the P. and A. M. of Tezak, criticizing the colored newspapers for publishing the news of A. M. Just read an article from the pain of an editor of a race of people who were killed in the civilization, culture and refinement, in which he severely criticizes the race of the people who were killed in the civilization. He says the methods of forcing friends and relatives by custom to follow the corpse and to take hours away from the dead become a custom with us to spend not less than five hours (and we know that we should not spend more) to pay our final tribute of respect to the dead. We quote "Why not start a campaign for private burials? It is an natural for men to want to be buried with their witnesses by owned by them only two or three diRECTly concerned therein.
