It is gratifying to note the manner in which the peace officers of Fort Benton apprehend the members of this recent mob, and it is hopeful that no guilty person will be convicted, and will will escape the punishment he deposes. Coming on the heels of the annual interagency cooperation commission Interagency Co-operation, held in Houston, November 6, where the officers of the peace officers for their part in saving prisoners from mobs and upholding the law, the stunt was both a disgusting, disharting, damnable, disastrous and disgusting, and the stunt rupee the amicable relations which have moved in that section of the state.

New York City—Asserting that the lynching of 2 Negroes (one of them a woman), near Houston, Texas, brought the total to date for 1926 up to 31 Lynching as against 18 for the entire year 1925, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, 69 Fifth Avenue, has telegraphed President Coolidge urging a statement from him to the country on this subject and asking that he urge congress to take the appropriate action within the power to end the lynching evil.
The lynching in Texas is the second in which a woman has been among the victims, the first such lynching for the year having occurred in Alken, South Carolina, where a mob on the morning of October 8 lynched Bertha Lowman, her brother and her cousin, the brother having been ordered acquitted by the judge presiding at their trial.
The lynching states, all reported by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, for the current year as follows: Florida, 8; Texas, 6; Mississippi, 4; South Carolina and Arkansas, 3 each; Georgia, 2 and one each; Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, New Mexico and Virginia.
The text of the telegram to President Lynch reads: "Within a month and 4 days of the lynching of a colored woman and two men in Alken, South Carolina, three Negroes, one of them a woman, an officer and one of the police, appropriate action which lies within its power.

$1,000,000 for this way to end Colds
One of the world's largest laboratories perfected a way to send cold, covert messages. That way proved itself so successful that they sold $1,000,000 for it. The company, HILLS, checks a cold in 24 hours. It ends the fever, stops the headache. It opens doors and allows people to work. And without any ill effects. As a result, one usually feels better than before. Millions now employ it. When they learn its results they keep it on ever since.

1. I. Joshua Reharing the History of the Nation (v. 1-13).
This was his far more address, the history of his people. He began with Abraham's breaking with his religion, homeland, relatives and friends, at the command of God, and traced his faith to the land of the hands of Moses and Aaron through the wilderness journey and showed God's providential dealing in his life. He also showed his and their marvelous blessings now in the land solely by the favor of God.
1. I. The People Elect the Lord as The King (v. 14).
Joshua knew that the people were liable to lapse into idolatry, therefore he reviewed before them the history of the people, and he pooled to their sober choice as to whether they were going to remain faithful to him.
He appealed to them for a rational consideration and judgment (v. 15).
He placed before them four candidates upon which they could vote according to their relative media.
(1) The Lord.
(2) The gods worshiped by their ancestors in Chaldea.
(3) The gods of the Amorites.
Having placed before them these candidates, he urged them to make a
2. His own example in the matter (v. 15) led him to follow his appeal with his own example. He told them that his mind was already made up. He associated his household with himself. He knew that his family was not austere. The marriage was, not a harsh one. It had been talked over at home, therefore he was sent the sentiment of his family.
B. The response of the people (Vv. 10-18)
10. The earnest appeal, accompanied by his own example had its desired effect. When they calmly considered the claims of the Lord as the answer to the question of overwhelming evidence in favor of the God of their fathers, they followed reasons for their choice:
(1). The Lord brought us out of Egypt (v. 17).
(2) He did great signs in our sight (v. 17).
(S) He preserved us in all the way we went (v. 17).
(4) He drove from before us all the people (v. 15).
It would be, been very foolish, not to wait there, after he had experienced all this at the炎热 hands to have turned Him down.
(5) Joahus reminds them of who God (v. 15).
When they to think more seriously and deeply upon the matter, Joahus drew a somewhat dark picture of God's attributes which were most important to him.
(1) He showed them that God is a Holy God.
(2) That He is a Jesus God.
He told them that God is a Holy God.
(3) That He will not forgive.
He did not mean by this that He was an ungrateful God, but that His nature was such that unless they follow Him, they would not be the means of their destruction.
6. Jehovah demands sincerity on their part (v. 20-28). 7. Jehovah practiced a practical proof of their profession. He no doubt knew full well that some had idols yet in their possession. He no doubt positioned (v. 24). They cannot avoid their determination to serve God and obey his voice. 11. The People Enter into a Gideon Covenant. 12. The clinching transaction of the meeting at Shechem. They entered into a formal covenant. Jehovah wrote down their agreement into book 11. He gave Jehovah a witness against them. As a further help, he took a large stone and set it up as a witness. These would serve Jehovah in their fighting again into idolatry.
Lack of Faith
From lack of faith in Thy revelation of Thyself, from content of Thyself, from readiness to think lightly of Thyself holy commandments, of Thyself holy commandments, of all we must unto Thee, good luck, deliver us!

Red Cross Plaster Gives Quick Comfort
It is dangerous to let a cold go without attention. The Red Cross may result. If you have a cold, or feel one coming on, act at once. Get the old quickcooking Johnson plaster and put it on the chest. This marvelous relief-bringing plaster is double the size of the plain plaster and kidney-shaped. Kitten size. Kidney-shaped to fit. Give almost mantasantine relief—warm, moist, moist, moist. Gestion and stimulate circulation. Be sure to ask the druggist for the big Johnson's Red Cross Plaster with the red foam back.

MISERABLE SHOWING OF TEXAS REPUBLICANS.
As predicted in the columns of The Informer several weeks prior
to the recent general election, the so-called republican. party, in

‘As a matter of fact, excluding the 14th congressional district,
the republicans polled less votes in the generalelection than they

in the 14th eongregslonal datriet, Congressman’ Wurzbach’ (who
san opposed bitterly and fought openiy by the rate organization,
headed by BB, Creager of Brownevile, Bagens Nolte of San Ane
