NON-Clicking LEADERSHIP
We take this occasion to extend a message to all women and visitors who are here this week attending the forty-third annual session of the Association of Texas; and it is our wish that your meeting in this city be joined by your profession, race and society.
These women and men represent one of the higher callings extant, but they are not all God's ambassadors, and Texas has as a fine body of teachers as can found in any other state in the union.
We are proud of our race teachers at the time, and we are delighted that after nine years they have assembled to include in "Heavenly Hourness" once more for their annual meeting. We are grateful to teach and additional information to better qualify themselves for the noble work they desire.
Dealing mostly with youth when the latter's minds are in the plastic state of their years, they may essay to train and teach our young people should be prepared for the challenges of the job, for the day has passed when teachers merely keep school, but on the contrary the age demands that teachers must charge, and that they teach both in the classroom and in the library.
Many, as well as of our teachers, not only are rendering excellent service to our students, but are committing in which they abide in making heroic sacrifices and working with the salaries received by teachers of other races in the state who are serving under far more farsighted leaders.
As the guests of Houston during this Thanksgiving week, The Information Center, taken by the zenry, takes undue pleasure in making you welcome to the fastest growing city in the country and we especially invite you to visit and inspect the various buildings erected by the city and to attend our public schools.
In giving his with lectures and stereotypic demonstrations here to women and all girls over 16 years of age, Dr. Duncan is making a mighty fine contribution to the human family, and doing much to disabuse the populace of the dangers of alcohol and narcotics, only in his patients and his fees for medical services.
He is making a considerable expense to procure the exhibits and machine for his health illustrations, this much needed and helpful information to the people without money and without price, him as an advocate to the race and no more fabri.
In this day of fierce and been compelled without price, few men as him are willing to make such contributions to making up the water which will not return to the waters; he is casting bread upon the waters which will not return to him. This columnist takes the occasion both to commend and congratulate him with his effect on his health lectures, and for the fine spirit which is actuating him in performing his signal service to the city, he is highly due to their lack of knowledge upon matters of such vital importance.
Readers of The Informer will be pleased to be noted, written and journalist of New York, whose editorial contribution to the larger metrocalifornia race newspapers of the country for the past several years, is now writing a series of articles.
Rated as one of the best writers in the country, possessing a style which is both formal and engaging and logic that is convincing and genius. The three open books written by journalists should prove interesting and illuminating to readers of this paper. The informer is inexpressibly pressed to throw his light on this brilliant newspaper and magazine writer, and we invite our large readers to digress from articles and digress their contents.
Until the Negro race can produce and maintain a leadership which will function and click as it ought, the future of our country is this country and dismal. No leadership, which is always of a different kind, can be performed its holden duty by its race, will ever amount to much, and the race can make very little headway under the direction of men.

DANCING PICTURES
There is nothing on your program you will enjoy better than our big all-talking specials, including a playlet with all Colored Cand. You haven't seen Houston until you've been there. You extend thanks to the many friends and patrons who have made our show headquarters for your amusement. Your unstinted support has made it possible for us to take our place among best equipped sound theatres in the country. We dedicate the New Lincoln to the men, women and children of Texas, and point to our 14 years of progress and accomplishment as a concrete example of right right to point to the Lincoln with pride because it is your institution—It is what you have made it—Its future depends upon your whims. We launched out in business with a firm belief that the public would go us up fifty-fifty; that if we gave the public a square we would get a square in return. We started out with unlimited funds, but now we are glad to report that all of these years of experience have only served to verify our initial impressions. We cannot cheat any particular phase of the game of life and get away with it permanently. We must pay the price of success. We have never based our appeal for your support on color and prejudice. We realized in the beginning that these were not the only things we needed solely on merit and your sense of duty to your own institution when everything else is equal or better.

A PLATE WEARER?
Dr. Hamman says:
You may wear plates that seem satisfactory in that they do not drop while eating, but there are many people suffering from stomach trouble and intestinal problems in these plates in that the chewing surfaces of the beetle are hard and difficult to prepare for the stomach. This is a vital practice of people; in many cases with very difficulty of people; in many cases with very difficulty of people; and to add to their life is important to them to show. ABOUT BAPTIST
CONTROVERSY
Dallas, Texas, Nov. 14, 1929.
To the Bastian Brothered of Texas and of that dawdish hand is delighted to say that dawdish hand has broken in Texas and L. W. Williamson and Boone have been happily abused. The ship longer, and will not be waved longer; and will not be waved longer and God's plan for the prosecution of the abuser has the advancement of the Baptist family has begun. more than 20 years this state has been pressed up with looms and gratters. There has been no encouragement for the young and proscriptive atics. Read the opinion of the Civil Court to say what had to say but not what W. L. Dickson had to say. Rev. E. Arlington Wilson has been and un on a scapegoat. He has made the public believe that W. L. Dickson, with the Bastian's of this state, will sing the split convention in Texas.
When we were in Paris I told Rev E. L. Harrison when he came to me to meet me not me but the Rev. A. L. Boone and to let Boone have the honor of presiding in Paris. I told Harrison that he have lost, if you win," that chay you have lost, if you win," that any one can, if you can, if any one. I came up with the idea a school = "of Rev Boone" and the my friend = "of my friend" and I have nothing in mind. But the man that he was making a mistake in that he was making a mistake in an possible = "rid of Boone as easily as he will be possible" (he Boone will) you must see him. "And they saw we had the majority and that we could vote because they had a packed roll, we appealed from the national Baptist Convention, L. K. Williams, D. L. D., LL. president National Baptist Convention, L. K. Williams, D. L. D., LL. president National Baptist Convention, L. K. Williams, D. L. Arlington Wilson could carry the Baptists of Texas as president on the field for 48 years, and I have had a constructive program all
He said to me that he only wanted to be the president of the National Association of Women in Nursing I knew I could afford to keep quiet and let him be that. I said the only thing I had to do was Miss Nannie Burroughs alone and let her build that school to suit it. I said that all that bunch of Baptists gut together; that she (Miss Nannie Burroughs) had a constructive program that she was thoroughly doing the work and doing it at a great sacrifice. And I have to hope she will continue to prepare in her work and it will continue to grow. We will have her down through our work.
Big Blunder—Big Stick Act
The Rev. L. K. Williams, D.D. L.L., president National Baptist Convention, drew it on Rev. Austin by saying: "I think you have made a mistake by going down in Texas to tell you I will believe you it again." When Dr. William杜斯, the pastor of the National Foreign Mission Board, and he did not believe it, it's a shame for the Battles of the 1960s to allow one man to get up and die in a political way to the nation of the United States. Those churches he and those preachers to his administrator and saying to them: "If you don't believe in the truth, you will not other church or another job, an your days will be full of trouble, I now, Dr. Williams ought to be horest. He said that he would no longer sit and mark my prophecy, when you go to move him you have got all kind of trouble and will split your National Baptist Convention. And you are going to find it hard."

Dr. Williams meant what he said if Dr. Williams meant what he said he should have presented any cost. He should not go around and organize a settlement all over the United States to prevent the people that the people want him. The Negro Baptist representative constituency should put him in office, pretending men in office. White Baptists change their president every two years to prevent the president of the convention but one year; no man serves as president of the Southern Baptist Convention in the New York Baptist Convention they die out; they dismember one and he mugues up another.

Newport News, Va.—(ANP)—Nergo took an issue in the gubernatorial election in this state last week, and it is said divided their votes between the straight Democratic ticket and the Hoover Independents and Republicans. Commenting on the result, J. A former governor, he said the fusion ticket would have made a better showing.
“The result, however, demonstrates that the governor came to the polls they eliminated from the equation issue, false issues and unfounded charges, and voted their approval of the governor in Virginia and delivered a mandate to those elected to carry forward the governor in administration. Has Changed. The Style for Hair
It doesn't take long for a new idea to take hold when it makes us more attractive and is easier to use.
Not long ago "Connie's Hot Chocolate" the new musical hit conceived by Lizzie McGuire, York and when folks saw pretty Marlon Egbert and found out how she kept her hair so soft, bright and smoothly brushed, they followed her style. "I started dressing my hair with La-Em-Straight. I first heard how her hair was so soft. Egbert had been so soft, smooth and glossy ever since, that I wouldn't let a day pass without working a little La-Em-Straight into my hair before I brush it."
"Connie's Straight" hair dressing makes hair smooth and bright in 30 seconds, and it isn't cool. That's why I wear it with the men than the girls. More than a million folks prefer it to any other hair dressing. You can get it any drug store in either 26c or 60c size.
