VOLUMN X No 4 WILL LEAVE FOR HIS CONFERENCE TUESDAY. Rev Wa field, who has been laboring in our city for the past year as pastor of the C. M. E. Church, will leave next Tuesday for Kansas City, Kansas, to attend their Annual Conference which convenes in that city. The C. M. E. church in our city has been greatly benefited by the excellent work of Rev. Warfields during the past year. He has added to it wonderfully REV. W. T. WARFIELD. in in every respect, and should the Bishop sign him back to this city he will continue to beautify this church as never before, to the glory of God and the honor of all mankind. We need him in our midst, because we know of him as a worker among God's people. He will close his work on tomorrow at his church; and will assisted by Rev Mack, Rev R. Davis and Rev T M Davis. Amorg the Church Clubs The ladies of the Morgan Street Baptist Church, gave a supper at the residence of Mrs Cook's, Thursday for the benefit their church, under the management of Mrs Chas Braisar, captain of club No 3, Club No 1 under the captainship of Mrs W, H Carter, gave a successful entertainment at the Sons and Daughters of Charity hall Monday night Taylor chapel club, under the leadership of Mrs Anna Wright, served a nice 10 cent lunch this week, at her residence on north Broadway. Your presents encourages us that we never shall forget this grand occasion, nor the memory of this great leader. We welcome you to our homes, to our city, our halls and our hospitalities in general.
