EDITORIAL
Dog officer Younkia has not tired,
The devil takes the lead of some man's minds,
Rev Howard is in Missouri doing Evangelis' work.
No justice for Kansas Negroes—EW Hoch.
Kansas City is bettter than Topeka Kansas—Freed L. Jeltz,
"Mr. Hoch lived down south to Jog."—Nice Chiles.
We'll get them all over Kansas' the State Legislature.
If you desire to make a fight on the city administration.
Big Negroes clamot for small jobs that amount to nothing.
Mrs Nation has sold her. Topeka interest for $7,000 in cold cash.
I. R. Kunnie won this piano contest and K. Raub won the watch.
S. B. Kutz is no more in the council he is licked—gone and forgotten.
Davis, mayor, being a new one knows not whom to appoint.
President Rosevelt is after oig game in the wilds of Oklahoma.
Have sense is a good word among the common element, so few have any.
James Guy at this hour is out for city prosecutor. Mr. Guy is no ining any smiles,
Negroes most generally will support Hoch but not a ma will support him now.
Major Davis with his five hundred majority is trying to cut some ice out of no consequence.
We would like to see a state election because Hoch would not even be considered for a second term.
We know that we are not loved by anyone particular, but we will do the best we can to get a long with such opposition.
A W. Harris of the Vindicator at Coffeyville was one of our leading Journalist while here he made it possible for a Negro to escape.
There is a class of people in this "burg" that think if you were against them when the election is over they think you tor him.
Dan Anthony's defeat is strictly attributed to the democrats hence Peter Everhardy has the place and no more democrat lives he is all what may be expected of him.
Dr. McFarland is at the head of a great Medical company 435 Kas. Ave known as the McFarland Chemistry Company the success and turns from his company has been wonderful.
"I mean to say if Negroes are per-
mitted to partake of a good time
they will soon want to marry
your daughter—Senator Tillman.
Do you believe in mass segregation to
a Negro will seek his level after the
best winner of the land if the bus-
s are not closed. "Lily white republi-
can."
W. W Fisher has been appointed by Hooh to carry the letters to and from the post office. Fisher says his salary is $75.00 per month. This makes us feel that the former Gov's discriminated against intelligence for paying $41.00 per month and not giving the missing amounts of $34.00 in their case in the case of Fisher.
Gov. Hooh has made an attempt to soothe the woes of the N groes by having Wm. Sharp d appointed and W. W. Fisher appointed to succeed him. This piece of politics leaves nor makes any extra place for the average Negro, hance appointing the same manner of men over again shows no increase.
