Your kidneys are great sewerways of the body; they perform functions which no other organ of the body can perform; they are the filter through which all your blood passes. The blood flows on and on through the great arteries taking up filth and poison, constantly emptying it into the kidneys for filtration. If the kidneys are weak or impaired, certain portions of poison are left in lead to annoying and often dangerous conditions. The back gets weak, bladder molested, bags form under the eyes foot and ankles some times swell, nervousness takes place, you are restless at night, rheumatic pains are frequent, heart action imperfect, gas forms in the intestines, causing cramps, colic, pleurisy and a derangement of proper digestion. For these conditions we have scientifically prepared a remedy. We call that remedy POWLER'S 10 DROPS. The high words of praises received daily have strengthened our faith in it for even more than we recommend it for. If it proves a blessing to you in bad conditions of the kidneys and stomach, tell others about it, for the good things you say about POWLER'S 10 DROPS will do more good than all our ads in this great Negro paper. After being found like a shuttlecock in the Daelh loot, and remaining for a period of years with the Shiks in the Punjab, this most celebrated diamond in the world was exhibited in cushionation of Britain's crown jewels in the grim old Tower of London. Sunday morning I rose before the family and went out to view the landscape. After, enambling a number of rocks, I watched the time and climatic influence had changed into black-and-white oasis, I was about to return when I chanced to ask my friend, a girl, to take me a short distance away. SWORE BY 'TEDDY' Yellowstone Park Rangers With Roosevelt to a Man. Colonel's Characteristic Greeting of Down-and-Outer, Whom He Had Known in Happier Days, Is Still Remembered. Of the few out-season visits paid to the Yellowstone, that of Colonel Roosevelt, who, when president, spent 24 days of the late winter of 1903 there, has the most prominent page in a manifest of the Eagle rangers. He found the scouts, then serving chapernors for lackless cavalry troops and doing their own work besides, to be men after his own heart, and did not hesitate to say so. Before he had been in the park a week every ranger was swearing by him. "Anybody know the whereabouts of our Warrior," was one of the colonel's early insignia. Jim McBride, the present chief ranger, who was then assistant chief of the park scouts under the late Hatebowski, and who was then a Bill Lochwood chopper and neer-do-er well, cheeky remarkable for an insatiable thirst and a knack of ministering to it in a boney park. He was about the last man who had been a Bill Lochwood the United States would be expected to inquire. "Bill put me into office once," said Roosevelt, "I want to see him, drunk out here." He further explained that the derelict had been sheerly during his own days as a ranchman and had made him a deputy in a horse-blef possession. That old horned toad and bring him in," said McBride, in recalling the incident, "but just to listen in at the colone's heavy greeting of that down-and-out man." The woodchopper tried to buck up after his talk with the president, but it wasn't to be done. The next winter we found him dead in the brunish owl of Blanty Creek. "The colonel was enthusiastic over the sport of ski running, and was something of a performer on the shuns himself, for a novice. He was often as often as opportunity offered. One morning on a slide near the Canon hotel he broke one ski and came a heavy cropper. He has fallen at last," he cried with a molar showing grin, as it coated down to help unangle a living president and a pair of dead sticks. Joy in Winning Success The training of personality is often a matter of compulsion. Men shun loads and dodge responsibilities when they are in danger, and wealth and try taking the shortest road to it. That may land them there and it may not. Usually men have to do what they want, or they way of making men turn to themselves for what they get. Others are busy helping others, and they help to anyone. As men learn to do they develop power to do and eventually the love of doing takes possession of poetry, but it's according to fact. There's no joy like that of conscious success and it grows with what is learned. THE PYTHIAN TEMULE. Where Big Meeting is Being Held F.K. WHITE, D.D. NATIONAL-PREACHER. Flower arrangement is being taught to the people of Tahoe. The first one was once one of the commonest acquaintances of youths, is a hopeless mystery to the people of Tahoe. It is sometimes said that a reputation for wit is fatal to a serious legal matter, not altogether true, for more than once a bit of wit has prevented legal native folly. The tradition in Philadelphia that during the constitutional convention it was proposed to incorporate in the Constitution a provision that the United States army should never exert control over the nation's tradition the debate, which was possibly informal and outside the regular sitting, was abruptly cut short. Benjamin Franklin solemnly declared that the nation's another clause making it part of the organic law of the land that no foreign nation should ever invade the country with an army of more than 30,000. A somewhat similar point was scored in the state legislature a few years ago when, during a discussion with a fellow senator, a shrewd yellow brownie from the hills of Sunderland, F. L. Machine Needed Cotton might become much cheaper if some ingenious inventor would devise a mechanical use for picking the costly item, in time and labor. There are cotton-picking machines on the market, but none of them is very satisfactory. One of them operates by pressing the cotton against the cleaner, sucking the bolts off the plants through rubber tubes. Another utilizes steel bristles for entangling the bolts. When a really practical contrivance for the purpose is obtainable, an average farm family in the South will be able to produce foyles of cotton in a season, instead of seven bales—New York Times. Nickel Money. Nickels—which are really copper nickel, being a mixture of the two metals—were first coined in this country in 1858. They are still mining. Import deposits have been found in Pennsylvania. Since then many units use for the nickel supply of the United States. But at the present time 85 per cent of the world's supply of nickel is derived from the mines of the Sudbury district, in Canada. The remaining amount is the ounce. Of the balance, France produces the bulk, contributing 11 per cent. It has been suggested that Great Britain, practically controlling as she does the world's nickel, might switch from cheaped gold and make the nickel more valuable in her currency. —Philadelphia Ledger.
