A very elaborate luncheon honoring out of town guests was given by the Joint House of National Recidivals, 2009. Thomas, Avenue, Wednesday, July 26th, 1926.
The house was beautifully decorated with floral flowers that filled the house with the merry chatter and laughter. The guest was a delightful guest. A delightful couple sat in a booth on the staircase in a Baratone Chop, who butted robes, Sanatone Chop, who butted robes,

The time has never been nor has it yet come in which a tail can successfully wag a dog. Nature has decreed that the tail being the less sentient portion of the anatomy of that animal, must wag at the command and the behest of the head, the controlling portion of that faithful piece of creation. And, as it is with the dog, so it is to a great extent with the organizations of this country that the procedure is made more reasonable to expect that this condition continues in the case of an institution, as it is to expect that a dog's tail would continue to wag him.

the present aspect of that case, that condition has been changed. The Grand Master of that order has now had his duties enlarged to the extent that, along with the responsibilities of the Order, he has the duty of the direct command of the Order. It is a thing much to be commended. The Grand Master is in reality a grand master with the power to compel obedience in any and all of those who are supposed to work with him for the advancement of that institution. It is good that this is so.
that report it was indicated that on more than one occasion that officer had changed the laws of the Order at will ordering the Endowments of certain members to cease bringing in new members, we understand that this is contrary to the laws of the State, without the regular payment of endowment, for the first quarter though they were in

It is a plain, every day, sensible, conservative newspaper, which turns no call to catch the passing breweries. No doubt, it has no patriotism as broad as our country. Its love of even, handed justices covers all the territory occupied by the human race. This is pretty high ground, but we live on it and are propebling. Days of the press come up and stand with us. This ground is hot.

One of the most peculiar states masters can makeIBLE in Texas occupying the high office of Bishop of Texas, lined off the signature of Helf. up William Decker Johnson one of the greatest and largest Orders of the state. It is one which deserves the support and commendation of all who undertake the unfertile circumstances at Paul Quin College from which Frank Jackson is well fitted to manage its affairs with good managemen and that he will institute measures and methods which will guarantee its success. His record for clean living and honest dealing commend him to the whole of the state as a leader well worth the following which he now has and, with his successors, the footsteps of his footsteps in taking full charge of the reins, even he must understand that there are some things which must be aided to their depths in order that the public of Texas may see the facts and properly evaluate them. For certain of the conditions that were in effect in times past have the ability to over-any way speaking against Paul Quin, "And as a man with no purpose to such an extent that their complete settlement seems essential to the success for which lie and all of Texas hope.

Paul Quinn College, as well as all the publicity and notoriety which attached to the trial of President Williams was brought about by the home antebellum and extrovers of the manor of Thickling, of the Bishop who led trustees of that school. Texas can well afford to do, without such leadership. This "Afrish" Methodist Episcopal Church would do well to think more carefully before following such leadership upon that event. The manor is more all-founded upon the principles of the自由 of men and the free of man is the before of their own.

This is not as it should be. The possibilities for the greatest success lie in the direction of combination in all good things as was indicated by Grand Master Bledsoe and there is reason to hope that the wisdom of his contention will be speedily seen and that in time to come, some co-operative effort, giving employment to the young and experience to the young who must take the places of the old men who are so rapidly passing may be worked out. Just last week the Express attempted to indicate a public service which fraternities could render to their members in the matter of encouraging the payment of poll tax and the preparation for th. efficient use of the ballot. Many other things could be added to that and in the last analysis, all would do nothing more than to redemon to the glory and honor of those who were responsible for their institution and lasting benefits. There is reason to hope that the vision of Grand Master Bledsoe may become the ideal of every leading Texan of mature years and that a pristine program, based on the cooperation of all Texas fraternities in every good thing may be worked out. "We may be separate organizations but all of us are Negroes and our problems are common problems. The future of the young men must be assured if we are to have worthy successors to those older men who are so raising from the scene of action with their "flame flying."
For a long time, it has been the contention of The Express that to a certain degree at least, the tail of the Odd Fellow should have been assigned certain of the authorities of the Grand Master to himself. had been carrying that institution in a direction that boded no good for it, and that the Odd Fellow should have been directed at the correction of this condition. According to
MOST persons who have been trained are dead when taken out, and most are dead when admitted. They are mainly frillteats. It occasionally happens, however, that people are not trained and, ever one should assume, that the method of giving first aid to the person from the lance, Most people are not trained and, therefore, the deduction that rolling the lance on it is the only way to seize the lance is the only way to search is to go on the patient's own side. The simplest and most effective method of water is to hold the patient lying down. This, of course, requires strength to hold, to perform the strong strength to perform the subject in the prone position and to hold his head will be lower than his head. Haine expelled the newly trained man as a serious respiration.
That thera is wisdom in the decision, of the Grand Lord to secure it, define the limitations of the odefficial staff to order a decision. The Master by accurate definition is simply proven by certain portions of the report of the Endowment, Secretary of that department.
The heat system of reviving the drowned is the one devised by Schafer. He claims several advantages for his method, vis. (1) It is simple and easily mastered (2) It can be performed by one person without becoming fatigued (3) The mucus and water are exboiled and prevented from blacking the passage of air in and out of the lounge.
The Schafer method briefly described is as follows:
Place the patient in the position (face down.)
Stand outside him and place the hands on either side over the lower rib. Make firm but no violent pressure, allowing the weight of
the body to come on the arms
Maintain this pressure for three
minutes before the patient body
unward.
Here is ample proof of the wisdom in the checking of the activities of such an officer. Here is room enough for justification of the criticism which has been directed at the wisdom and regularity of certain of his other actions taken presumably "without asking the Grand Master or anybody else." The security of the funds of that organization and the welfare of those who are to receive the benefits of the wisdom and regularity of certain of the cessions of that Order, of whatever sort they may be made by those who are elected for that purpose and in no other way and the fact that this condition has not maintained most past has been responsible for the unfortunate condition of the Xpress and others in Texas have complained.
Nestle the ankle movement at a time it takes a minute. Measure.
During all this time the patient is positioned on the floor, wrapped thoroughly and then wrapped, assembling toward the center should be kept forward. The heart has been after the heart action has been after the heart action has been in continuing efforts to restore the heart is heating, artificial re-oxygenation and systematically.
Circumstances made it possible for the affairs of that order, in times past to fall into the condition complained of by the authorities, and did the rest. that he attempted to justify himself that was natural but that this condition should continue to maintain was contrary to reason and proper procedure. The express now sees light ahead for the Odd Fellows of this order.

A Sick Baby
Mrs. J. McC. (written by Mr. hake) is 12 months old. He had the last one and has a teeth. He cut the last two stomach teeth recently, and I expect will be cutting the other two upper-eye teeth shortly.
What will he do? The few mouth of the rest while the throat and chest which he as he ever since. This winter I had the mezzas and his cold was a bit more than the other. The doctor gave him some medicine to keep his cold loosened saying it was bronchial and that it would clear up other "hot" and it was when the rattle and phlegm are in his throat, he is very cross. He seems to keep up in strength and flesh fairly well. When the cold is closed, while in his breathing when asleep.
I have put a mustard plaster on his chest and back. I do not take the outside of my body. What do you think about his cold and what do you suggest to do? I am feeding him milk bread soup, potatoes, stew cook, etc. I am not sure to eat, but still he is contented. I give him milk of mango, peanuts frequently. He doesn't like orange or prune jules, and it does him good. What would you recommend to give him for his colds?
Reply
From the description you give of your baby's edition I agree with your doctor in his dimensions of bronchiole. The thought has occurred to me that there might also be for you a belief lies in the chronicity. All the condition and its resistance to treatment. Nothing can be accomplished by keeping the baby indoors. Get him out even if it is cold. If he is poorly mother it cannot hurt him. Keep his bowels open at all costs as constipation aggravates bronchitis. Give him one-tenspoint of pure sodium oil three times a day. Have the baby inhale the team of a solution of one teaspoonful compound tincture of benzoin in a pint of boiling water.
The more cathartics you give the more constipated the youngster will become. You are using good judgment in feeding, but he must get fruit juice. Put him on the toilet at the same time every day and several times until he is regulated. As a last reant use an enema.

Even in the great heat and heat and fleas are almost as bad as flies in the summer. The ants cannot be prevented but if they're three times in the panty-like place it dishes of water and the bread box is set on "stills"—(any small pieces of wood)—in a pan of small annoyance can be lepressed greatly.
The fleas, however, must be done away with before they see them, and if possible. To do this the breeding places must be eliminated.
To do this the breeding place must be must-common. If you wish to enjoy a "fleeceless" summer, you will be sure to have that old sand pile in the back yard leveled off in them.
DO YOU KNOW THAT—
The Nelson shop has a new line of stationed specials in the summer.
Most use the paper is in the level-linest shades, cool greens, soft brown, creamy white, dull grays, black and white, and white and white. If you have a more-rammed in a surprising short time, the number of them will be less than 100. If you know, it is to have either your name and address encroaved in the center of the top of each page, or there is a letter of your summer's home stamped there isn't that ensuing?

Recipes
I gave you a recipe for fruit salad not long ago but I think we all like variety so here another along: with a recipe for fruit salad dressing which may be served with other one:
Fruit salad
Place a slice of Hawaiian pineapple on a lettuce leaf and spread with a thin coating of soft cream cheese.
Cut piliated into thin—strips and place on top of the pineapple, radiating from the center.
Put a large teaspoonful at fruit-based dressing in the center of the pineapple.
Fruit Salad Dressing
3 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 whole egg
1 egg yolk
1-2 cup of sugar
1-2 pint of cream
Heat egg stiff; add sugar and heat again; add lemon juice, Cook in double boiler until thick, stirring constantly. Add one-half-pistrel cream whipped. (Moore cream may be added if desired.)

Riddle's Report Draws Fire of
McDonald and Gorce
Endowment Secretary Riddle's report began in the old emotional appeal to the crowd by singing "Life's Railway to Heaven" and told of his trials and tribulations: naming "Dickson and that committee which slandered the actions of Gore and Hiddle" but ended his opening re-marks by declaring that "this is my day." During his tirade against his "consensus" he exhibited a copy of The Express which told of the case at Low which was won by the Pythiang but refused to read from the article when requested by the audience. He also showed a copy of the circular signed by Rev. W. I. Dickson, but refused to read from it. His tirade was even more bitter than last year but the response

from the audience was less enthusiastic.
He concerned himself little with the itemized portions of his report take up the time with verbal demonstration of the fact that 'thoughts of the time of the study of different mine is the office which is the reason for the spender of the order today.'
Told That He Decreased Endowments at Will and Walved Endowment Payments /
Declaring that he "had not asked the Grand Master or anybody else about it" he told how, in several instances, where he considered the case urgent, he had decided to enter the process during the present order, and that the system in the membership drives by which no member who came into the order paid his office was allowed to be paid but not eligible to benefit the hoisted that only two of such veracies had died but indicated that their beneficaries had been paid "and had been paid to the order of the number of the order not to pay any more endowment, all of this as he said was done "without consulting The Grand Master or anybody else at the time"
The third order of the same particular statement, of the amounts paid out by the various orders of the state during a period of several years, but he was interrupted the meeting of the state of the State by Wm. D. Donne
told me that the Mason's would be united all of the Mason's of the state and all of the Mason's of the state would be united if he did not challenge the Riddles. If he did challenge the Riddles, attempted to stop him, he would be united. Donald continued his remarks and he continued his challenge of the Riddles' state. During the Irade against those who were not involved in the case, he remarked that there were "Tome of the Grand Court" and that this order who have not assisted in the case they are not assisted in the court. If they are here and are hit, they are just his lie. Dr. J. R. Moore, Medford District and the meeting adjourned. He indicated that the age of the Orders was than those of last year. The membership driven setted the date for the next cost of the membership drive.
Secretary Riddle took up a great deal of the work of the Temple to the Anderian State, "now famous 125,000" telling of the state of the Temple to the Anderian State and showing that the Order of the Temple is a powerful organization named "W. I. Pleckham Property and R. A. Hastell, Heir of the Temple." Mr. Pleckham is married with a very abundant percentage of whom he queries several of his places.

From grand lodge again.
One of the effects of the peace past which was effected during the meeting was the cordial reception again of the claim of the Diod son Orphanage at Gilmer which for several years has been receiving substantial help from the Thanksgiving collections from the local lodges of the state. This was somewhat curtailed during the fight on Secretary Riddle but with the agreement on Thursday morning the claims of the orphanage were again considered and assumed. It was given that in future the arrangement of the past will be redempted.
