First Ben Davis fell by the wazideq and Perry-Howard, last of the surviving numbers is arrested, dismised from the post-conflict country, and charged with pedding federal patronage. It seems as if the die is cast and that "thumbs have been turned down on all of the members of the race which has given to the party the greatest support which it has ever enjoyed in the country." MEMBER NATIONAL NEURO PRESS ASSOCIATION The old order is changing and is giving place to one so new as to strike terror to the hearts of those who had come to feel that in reality "the Republican party was the ship and that all else was the sea." The word seems to have been used to describe the work of elimination is proceeding with dispatch. THE DALLAS EXPRESS PUBLISHING CO. (Incorporated) DALLAS TEXAS What is to be done about it? Very little if anything. The working out of a solution to the problem will take many years and much education of the masses of the race in the country. It is not easy to wrest from those now in control in every Southern State the power that the masses of race voters could be brought to the point of mimicking their forces and of making the combined power of their ballot felt. It is literally true that in Misa the people of the other southern states the Negro Republic voters outnumber the whites as much as two to one. But there is not the coherence; there is not the cooperative desire that will make them stand or fall together. It seems that nothing but hard and bitter experience will teach them. And from that experience we can learn much generous portions under the lesson well impressed. Notice to the Public Any arrests, reflection upon the standing, statement, or any other form, firm or corporation which may appear in the notice will be greatly corrected will be greatly corrected upon it being brought to the at- tention. But the race will beat back. It will come again into its place of power. Not probably as easily as has heretofore been true but with more guarantee of staying put, once it is again power. And probably it will be best, all things considered for such a thing to happen. We are still young in the paths of progress. We still have many hard lessons to learn concerning the value of co-operative working for common good. We still lack much of the experience which we have. It must be worked out with patience and with study. And with the hard work will come experience and a new sense of values which will prove most profitable. The end is not completely seen. And those who have devoted themselves to the service of those and their race in a political way have been rewarded. FOREIGN ADVERTISING IMPLEMENTATION. W. II. That they done so well, they would be proud to be able to while. Their messages were to the effect that members of the race should organize; co-operate and work to the end that more of the dollars spent for the necessities of life would pass through the channels of the race, giving employment and training to the people for such services. It was stressed that the food, clothing and amusements, as well as the housing of the race, could be handled and it was emphasized that there was money enough already on hand and opportunity for doing so. The members of the commission and on one which could make the ventures profitable THE DALLAN EXPRESS has never hosted the white paint, neither mother, nor father, nor yellow paint. It is not offended with their presence, but the yellow paint, a heavy day, occasion effective newspaper, which little can be done without humbly lit. It professes a love of the world. It occupies the live of even hard- hit souls, covers all the life arrived on its pages, covers very high ground, but no live on it, and are presented with a kind and hand with us. This ground is quiet. W. R. KING PAY STATIONS FOR Y. M. C. A. SUBSCRIBERS The Central Y.-M. C. A. has announced that it has already released a report and is submitting a report from those who pledged to the recently elected mayor in suburban areas for Regress on this city. That is why it has also announced locally, the collection station to aid in the collection of a sufficient amount to a sufficient amount to warrorthe beginning of building by the city. Places have already been chosen to be the Express. Announcement has also been made to the effect that the plans for the building will be released in the near future and that WILL TEXANS REALLY BOLT THE G. O. P.? THE DALLAS EXPRESS, DALLAS, TEXAS, SATURDAY, JULY 21, 1938 is that neither the Creeger or the O'Riana faction have any considerable voting strength. The bulk of the Republican voters would have to believe that it was possible, if it could be bad for the Creeger group, desirous of really building a party in this state, would use the good judgment to attempt to attract the bulk of the Republican voters there would be a content such as Texas. Welcome address in behalf of the city, Hen. C. M. Chamber, Mayor of San Antonio The Mayor of San Antonio the Mayor of cooperation and its results. Secretary of the King San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, appointed by the King Antonio Chamber of Commerce. The Secretary very loud in his voice, he said, "Do your efforts to Negro in America; this program is due, he said, "Do your efforts to give a great record by an enthusiastic audience at the conclusion." Pro. S. C. Counter of Calbert, Oklahoma responded to the two selections a great record by two selections were offered by the Camp Fire Girls' Orchestra the Seminole and local lodges. Mrs. Ada L. Banks, San Antonio Response. Two beautiful numbers were rendered by the Pflorida Plateau Quartet, four well known. Welcome address in behalf of the city, Hen. C. M. Chamber, Mayor of San Antonio; response, J. G. Scott, Grand Patron of the Order of Eastern Star, Ft. Worth The Express has always been of the opinion that such ventures should be undertaken by those of the race here. It has contended likewise that there was opportunity enough for the investment of all of the surplus funds of the race. And with the employment brought through cooperation, there would be profit as well as service in each venture. It has been repeatedly pointed out by this journal that the members of the race here spent more than $6,000,000 annually for the necessitation of life, not including the price of houses in which they live. Could this tremendous fund be diverted into the channels of the race be allowed to pass through the hands of New York and the status of the race would be hundreds fold. On Resolutions, H. P. Carr, P. Report The National Grand Master began reading his annual report at the National executive said: "We have assembled in this our annual report of the city of San Antonio. For eight years, and ten months your name is on the Order and today, I am attendant to you as my midwife. You have to be with me. I cannot renalize the level of the Law. I respect it. In 1930, when we hold our first order, in our first Grand Association, and to make a comparison of the order then and the order today, in our first Grand Association, written membership certificates for today, the order shows more than 25,000 certificates for members of the Palace and 2,799 lodges and a number of new members. Our year 1971, new members 18. Nothing is lacking to the accomplishment of this feat but the will to do it. The leadership is lacking. The trouble is at the head of the group and not elsewhere. There is a need to build a strong team that will deeply support such ventures were they started. They must be started. This money must be put to better use. There must be the notch of cooperation which will result in the development of a new business. We must brought through to cultivate this great economic field than we can. We can begin no sooner. And it is literally true that every year that passes without the entry of some new economic concern among us means just another year of growth. We must bring in the Negro man and women must depend for their livelihood upon times of occupation which have no future. WILL TEXANS REALLY BOTT THE G. O. P. T. Announcement has been made by Wm. McDonald, well-known as one of the leaders of the anti-Grease movement, and by O. M. O'Hara that 25,000 voters, both white and black, will be registered in the Republican-ranks. The coming presidential elections. They claim that the farmers of the nation are not satisfied with the plank written in at Kansas City, and that the bulk of the Texas voters are dissatisfied with the government. Crusader has replied that the group headed by McDonald and O'Hara, with others, cannot control 250 votes in Texas and that the party will get along well without their the contrary. Or, if they are not, they are proof that the Creater regime does not control the bulk of the votes in the election. If the Creater regime does not control the Republican voters will abandon the party because of the attitude of Creater himself. Past. These attitude will deepen to a large extent on the attitude which is adopted by the party in time to come, particularly in connection with the current election. premium ask this time would be better. We should do B and C; dischia- nge Class B and Class B and put all the students in Class A. First put noteter to $275.00 on all deaths and divide whatever is not equally among the heuther- tic. There is a great deal of Hoover sentiment in Texas among Republican voters just as there is a great deal of Smith sentiment among Democrats. Some of both parties are discontented, but that there will be a wholesome both sides. It does not shame the sentiment of McDonald and O'Hare. It behaves rather that the sentiment is primarily for Hoover, despite the fact that most of Texas is anti-Creager. It is perfectly possible that much work will have to be done by the Greger forces to be able to poll any considerable number of Republicans, and that will not be true of the Republican presidential candidate. Recommendations The Grand Master offered for mer is that neither the Clergy or considerable voting strength. ne voters are not so closely organi- zating possible. And finally it may be remarked that the time has come when smoke screens cannot get the thing done. There must be a way to get the thing done. There must be the ability to organize so closely that the thing promised may be actually done. Then, and not until then, the thing may be actually done.
