"Perry's Explanation As to Why He Said Mississippi Life Insurance Company Will Not Stand Light of Scrutiny," Says Vice President Lee—Charges Facts Distorted and Figures Jugged — Race Concerns "Frozen Out"
(Preston News Service.)
Memphis, Tenn.—"In all my statements to the newspapers," declared George W. Lee, vice president of the Mississippi Life Insurance Company, in a statement, "I have intentionally avoided mentioning Mr. Perry or the Standard Life Insurance Company, because I pictured the harm that might be done to an institution that represents humankind and centralized wealth for people. I have been censured in an editorial by the Afro-American for not bringing Mr. Perry in for his share of compensation, instead of hurling bitter critics of the Southern Life.

The kingdom so gloriously administered in David's time reached its height when the kingdom was led satyr through the influence of his heathen wives, and the kingdom had begun to wane. God had expressed his indignation toward him in the demand that the kingdom was to be rent from him, yet in his time, but in the time of Rebelooan (I Kings 11.19.3).
The Demand of the People (vv. 1-4).
This was occasioned by the burden to excessive taxation and enforced lawiness. In order to build costly houses and temples for his heathen wives. Owing to the multiplicity of his wives, this burden was so heavy that loyalty to him on the condition of lightened burdens.

God had directed His people to destroy the high places, to break down the idolatrous centers. (3) He command of the people (v. 31). God had set aside the tribe of Levi to fill the office of priesthood. In this again he disbanded the tribe of Levi to fill the office of priesthood. The time of this feast was set by the Lord that the change in the time would be better suited to their northern climate, but God who made the climate or climate that the business, therefore, to oed God.

For Raw Sore Throat!
At the first sign of a raw, severe throat rub on a little Musterole with your finger. It goes right to the spot with a gentle tingle, hooves congestion, drawn out, exuding pus. Musterole is a clean, white ointment containing a solution. It has all the strengths of the old-fashioned plaster without the blister.
Nothing the Musterole for croppie children can benefit from unseasonal uss. 35 and 60 cents in jars and tubes; hospital bills are higher than a MUSTARD PLASTER.
MUSTEROLE
New Franklin Deposits.
An important deposit has recently been made in New Zealand in the ford country of Southland. A deposit of Musterole which is the same size that is used in large quantities in New Jersey, has been identified by government officials.
Origin of Honeydew Melon.
The original seed of the honeydew melon is obtained from a melon shipped from Africa to New York city. The seed was planted at Rocky Ford, Chelsea, and New York, respectively for two or three seasons. The so-called honeydew melon is the result. As yet this melon has not been brought into a stable condition of reproduction.
Dead Sea Fruit.
The spore of gudgeon in the familiar name of a species of yellow fruit which grows on the borders of the Dead Sea. It is extremely beautiful to the eye but bitter to the taste and full of small black grains, not unlike ashes. This apple is often referred to as the "Dead Sea fruit," and the exposition used as a metaphor for below, unsatisfactory pleasures.
Olive Growing.
The region in which the olive may be successfully grown for commercial production of fruit in the United States is so acidic and frost-hardy. Commercial olive growing has been confined to portions of California and Arizona, although the heavens was seen by an English boy of sixteen living in Athens.

REASONS WHY:
FOREST HOME
HERE ARE THE REASONS WHY:
These terms are as low as $10.00 cash and $10.00 monthly, without interest or taxes until January 1st, 1925.
FIRST—It is splendidly located in the Third Ward—a section of the city where values are constantly increasing. There are a number of developments contemplated in this section of the city that will tend to increase the values of Forest Home lots.
In general, FOREST HOME offers you a splendid opportunity to secure a good homesite in a beautiful addition and at the same time make a safe and profitable investment.
SECOND—FOREST HOME possesses these improvements that go to make an attractive place in which to live—FOREST HOME has sanitary sewer and city water—its streets are shelled and sidewalks are provided throughout the addition.
It will be to your advantage to select your lots now before there is an increase in prices. Get in touch with me immediately, either by phone or call at my home address. If you will telephone me, I will be glad to call for you in an automobile and show you the property.
THIRD—FOREST HOME prices are very low when you consider the location, the beauty of the addition, and the improvements that go with the property.

$65.88, a surplus of $12,88.61. It is evidence that the president of the Institute areife was attracted by this large number of students. It seems that Mr. Perry's numerous inattentions were surely in need of attention, as was an opportunity to realize a long-term goal.
"A as matter of fact, the actuaries again visited the Mississippi Life office to show in a statement that the company was impaired $50,000. We then saw that the company had to get possession of the company without paying the Howard-Cox interest, the balance of some $50,000, and of information leaking out, and the officers of the Mississippi Life going to Hon. T. M. Mississippi, pointed out to him what was about to be done, together with the Mississippi, pointed out to him King, the coup would have succeeded.
"Mr. Perry excesses himself further by bringing the largest bldd received from the Southern insurance Company. As a matter of fact, the bldd is more than 600 less than the Southern Insurance Company. As a matter of fact, itmitted that the North Carolina's bldd was more than the Southern and explained that the reason the North Carolina wanted to send an actuary to the home office of the Mississippi Life and audiology not asking more than Mr. Perry had done when he bought the company. The North Carolina's bldd was $4,000 more than the Southern's bldd and the North Carolina officials were so sure they had qualified vigorous plans to take over the company that they returned home and commenced vigorous plans to take over the company that bought. Says Nothing of National Benefit.
Mr. Perry and nothing of the National Benefit, a colored company whose financial statement shows them that they returned home and commenced vigorous plans to take over the company that bought. Even the Atlanta Life, his next door neighbor, declares any knowledge of the deal. After the company their attempt to buy the company from the Southern at a figure much larger than the Southern at a figure much larger than the company he claims that he acted for the best interest of the stockholder, when the company for forty to eighty thousand on the deal.
Offered to Sell to Church.
"When Mr. Perry found that he had to sell the company, he offered it to the church. He sold it for $890,000 more than he sold it to the Southern." All of Mr. Church's efforts were of no avail. In his statement to the church, Perry accused the church of gold-filled form with six hundred people and was in danger of losing his head wanted to add more money to his bank.
Good Wishes to Standard Life,
Mr. Perry says, first in his own

Some Food For Thought
WILLIAM RANDOLPH HEARST, the largest publisher of newspapers in this country, says: "The newspaper is one of the most valuable articles in a community, and still, in spite of its actual and obvious value, it sells both its circulation and its advertising space at a ridiculously low rate in comparison with its values." This is precisely the truth when it comes to advertising in

The Houston Informer goes into more colored homes than all other local colored newspapers combined and enjoys the second largest circulation in Texas among colored journals.
The Houston Informer also reaches more colored people than any daily newspaper in the city. Its circulation is LARGE and is still jumping by leaps and bounds, proving that it is

The Sower, in the parable, cast his seed to the winds of heaven.
That which landed among the stones, the thorns and in the barren places, perished.

The modern advertiser does not strew his seed of salesmanship to the winds.
He plants it carefully in the "good ground"—in the places where because of favorable conditions it has a chance to bear a harvest of consumer results.
He uses newspaper advertising because through the newspapers he covers completely the rest which is known, upon careful investigation, to be right places for his product to flourish.

Casing-Head Gas.
Casting-head gas has been made since 1904. An oil which has the facet of a gallon-shaped drum from natural gas is sprayed downstream from a tall pipe or tower, while the natural gas coming out at the top is practical for drilling. The gas is then absorbed by the bottom has absorbed it. Then, by a simple process of distillation, the gasoline is derived from the oil, and the distillate is used in the plant again. A good-sized plant can treat 80,000,000 cubic feet of gas this year, and obtain at least 8,000 gallons of gasoline a day.
**Several Species of Rattlesnakes.**
The most common and well known rattlesnakes are abundant in the East, Midwest, and Southwest, Hampshire, and Lake Superior, to the borders of the dry plains. The diamond rattlesnake is found mainly in the North Carolina to Texas, and a range varies westward to Lower North Carolina to Texas, and a range in the Rocky mountains region and northern Mexico. The ground rattlesnake is also found in southern states, and a range common in the Allegheny mountains.
Pine Tree Pollen.
Yellow rain in the Yukon territory and red snow in Greenland with a red snow in the Arctic also found to be caused by the pollen of pine trees growing miles distant. The pollen is caught by the wind. The snow is in "made" by wind-bleed deposits of minute vegetable organics or of snowed which contain red spots.
The Jewish Star.
The Jewish Welfare board says that according to Jewish tradition the symbol on the Jewish flag was not primarily a star, but was a double triangle the emblem of the Jewish Nation and the design of that monarch.

SOUTH'S GREATEST WEEKLY NEWSPAPER
The main thing an advertiser wants to do is to tell you plainly just how and why his goods are worthy of your attention, and how much value they add. Because many things you can advertise are the things you buy and use in your regular daily life. By reading the advertisements, you can learn the names and read descriptions of the things that are best and most useful.
But advertising teachers more than that. All advertisers try to make their advertisements themselves valuable to you.
A good many people have learned a whole lot about good advertising. They know the best ways to live comfortably, how to keep the home and grounds looking well—they've learned all these things and many other things just by reading advertisements. And you will learn a great deal that will be helpful and valuable to you as you go through life.

Carl Mays Makes Life
National League umpire are bound to experience a challenge the coming season now that Carl Mays will pitch for the Chicago Cubs. He always has been a tough fellow for the arbiets to handle. To begin his career, he played the umpire plenty of golf. He throws underhand, all of his shoots starting from the back of the net around the batter's face. Carl Mays matches between a fast ball that breaks it a spitter and a curve that rises too high. Mays has a bad temper, too, and in his attempts to get all of the close defense it makes life miserable for the umpire.
Walter Hagen Aims to
Play in "British Open" for the British open golf championship. The former titleholder plans to call for an England on June 10, which will give him about a week over there for the championship at Hoylake. CANADA
Charles German, Canada's speed skating star, returned to his home country after a two-year international and international outdoor titles, was greeted by a cheering crowd of 10,000 sports people. In reply to their greeting he waved his shirts to the crowd, and he would return from competition. "I have achieved my greatest ambition in the winding of these titles," he said. "I am an enlisted man to on my肩头."

The New York Yankees have released Pitcher Elbert Johnson to the Des Moines club, of the Western League.
