FIVE YEARS ON JOURNALISTIC SEAS
PEOPLE'S PAPER
VOL. VI.
"STAY WOKE."
Have you heard the latest street slang, "Stay Woke?"
While some of the slang expressions do not mean meaning or significance, this recent one does
It means that one should ever be on the job; should be on the alert and not rat or sleep at the post of duty?
"Stay woke" may not be correct or good English, but it certainly carries a deal of weight and significance.
If people would stay awake and not sleep so much, they could accomplish far more than they do.
By doing so, they can be more mean the act of not falling a victim to Morpheus (for many people figuratively sleep with their eyes open), but the act of being ever on the job and permitting no opportunity to pass one's cause and protect one's interests.
The man who is unconcerned about himself, his family, his race or the human family, is asleep, whether he ever closes his eyes in sweet repose or
The person who is always trying to run other people's business and failing to look after his own, is failing to stay woke.
The person who continually runs around, hunting up "mess" and circulating rumors and gossip about other people, while his or her own house is in very bad order, is a "stay woke" failure and bust.
With people of the same nurtures ways in which people fail to "stay woke," for there is a human proneness these days to sleep entirely too much, either with our eyes closed or wide open.
The person that does not "stay woke" will soon find himself or her own but not only bringing up the rear, but actually trailing even the rear.
Some people are always complaining and whining about their sad and bitter fat face.
Some people are always having; how it appears that everything goes against them and everybody has a pick at them; when, in reality, they do not "stay woke" and their and their is due largely to the fact that they sleep entirely too much.
Some people sleep so much that when Opportunity knocks at their door they are too sleepy-eyed or lazy to even get up and ascertain who is rapping at their chamber door, while Miss Opportunity reluctantly departs, often pathetically remarking to herself, "Nevermore!"
The poet was undoubtedly thinking about this species of humanity when he sang:
"Let us, then, be up and doing.
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing.
Learn to labor and to wait."
If we were to translate the above verse and express it in its simplest form, we would briefly state, "Stay Woke!"
ARE WE INTERESTED?
On Tuesday, June 10, 1924, the voters will either approve or defuse the proposed amendments amounting to about $1,500,000 and another for school purposes totaling $1,000,000. We wonder if the colored voters of Houston and the Independent School District interested in these bond issues?
We wonder if they will take any action against them and thereby endorser at least secure some pre-election promises, even if they are broken as soon as the election occurs to come to organizing and working for their own interests and welfare, and thereby endorser at least secure consideration from those in authority.
Those of our race who should take action against them generally the ones given most to lethargy, indifference and sheer stupidity, and thus make易知 regarding the expenditure of such bond issues, and usually so-called "big Negroes" who are always too busy on election day to even go to ballot boxes and caucuses.
As long as the colored people of Houston manifest such little interest in the proposed amendments so long will they present their fate when it comes to civic improvement in authority what consideration will be given our people out of these two forthcoming elections so far in to do this, we should go off somewhere and hide.
Friends, are we interested?
C. C. C. GLIMAX GAME MAY 22.
The postponed game between the two candidates in the mutual civil teams will be played at Scott Street Park Friday (loday). May be interested at 4:15 p.m. Free gates will open.
The Houston Informer
On Saturday, May 24, 1919, the first issue of The Houston Informer appeared on the streets of this city and its death sentence was immediately pronounced by the "know-alls" and "knockers."
When The Informer set sail upon the journalistic seas, there were four other weekly newspapers published in this city by our group, and, perhaps, some of these prophets and seers were conscientious, logically concluding that Houston could not support five colored weekly newspapers.
While they reasoned logically and rationally, they erred in selecting the wrong paper for the first obsequies, and thus The Informer is still sailing upon the tempestuous seas of journalism after five years of a voyage that would have wrecked and run aground the average journalistic barque; while two of its contemporaries of that early period have long since ceased to navigate the journalistic seas.
The Informer's spirit of gloating or boasting, nor do we rejoice in the demise of other colored publications (for all have a distinct place and play an important part in our racial activity and progress), but we merely mentioned this matter to show that The Informer has unquestionably justified its existence.
During these five years this paper has been bitterly, insidiously and maliciously fought and opposed, both within and without, but it has never been so white flagged as to catch the passing brewer and its own排放. The white flagged as to catch the passing brewer and its own
It has persistently and consistently opposed and fought wrong, both in high and low places; fighting for principles rather than making personal attacks and fighting at all times in the open.
This paper's policy has not pleased everybody and the paper that tries to please and satisfy everybody, in the final outcome will place the Informer in a position of a publicist.
If The Informer has made enemies during its five years of existence, they were made because their faults, sins and shortcomings were ruthlessly attacked and their hypocrisy laid their fly

Under the amuples of the McNorton *Mary* and *Women's Auxiliary of the Beth Israel Medical Society*, a very unique and unique program was rendered last Monday. Mr. M. L. This presentation briefed a brief rally of one week, in which these faithful sisters raised $400, with others raised $1000, with others carried off first honors in the rally. The program included five dollars and was presented Gorthede Marshall making the presentation of one of more mature years.

the uncompromising position of this paper against the evils andills of our day and generation.
The Informer has not prostituted its editorial columns with personal calumny, nor has it inudged in mudsliding and silly filth. Instead of playing up and ever parading to the world the personal misconduct and misbehavior of individual members of our race and other races, this paper has always assumed the higher ground of attacking and condemning the practices, endeavoring to make such as constructive criticism.
The newspapers are silent on the peculiar evils of the day. The Informer has out in no uncertain tone against these modern sins and "same" and many that originally excoriated, condemned, criticised and anathematized this paper for its attitude in those days, have lived to see the day arrive when they are now found in the same band wagon with The Informer—with this exception, the Informer has never opposed its opposition meant boycott, intimidation, dues and almost complete isolation, while the later day opponents of these practices only assumed their attitude when it became apparent that their revenue would be increased by pursuing such a course. The Informer has never taken any middle ground when the rights of the people (and particularly our own race) were at stake or in jeopardy.
During the brief space of five years the Informer has won many notable battles, and yet during this period no one has ever had a real victory in this paper stood on any issue. As a tax popul (voice of the people) always pays a wide and large circulation and ranks with the leading papers of the country in volume of local and foreign advertising; leading virtually all race journals in Texas and the Southwest in the latter respect.
Today The Informer stands second among the papers of Texas in circulation, being exceeded only by the Dallas Express, which

was a full-grown newspaper when the editor of The Informer was wrapped in swaddling clothes.
During the past five years The Informer has always sought to publish only reliable and worthwhile news, endeavoring at all times to give our readers not only a well edited publication, but a paper that stands up mechanically with the best in the country, regardless of race.
The tone and calibre of this paper's editorsial can be attested by the fact that no colored newspaper in the South (if, indeed, in America) has been quoted in other newspapers as much as the Federal national publicist says that of the five papers that are favorites in the United States in America. The Informer is included among any five that these editors personally read each week.
This is a record that not only we (editorially speaking) should not publish but every member of the colored race should take unrealistic and unrealistic measures of one of their own publications, and should support such paper both morally and financially, to the end that ere long the paper can possess its own facilities and, along with publishing its own newspaper, do work for others and give employment, printing and journaling. The Informer, upon the occasion of its fifth birthday, takes this occasion to express its profound gratitude and deepest appreciation to the thousands of readers and numbers of advertisers, who have helped to make this journey and record possible; and, with your continued assistance and good will, we hope to continue to provide our readers with the hope, aims, ambitions, achievements and aspirations of the colored race, and to contend with every vestige of manhood at our command for the speedy advent of the era when genuine democracy and true Americanism will cover and compass the entire common wealth as the waters that cover the deep, Selah!

ROOMS AT Y.M.C.A.
The colored Young Men's Christian Association's three-story building, corner Pralrle avenue and Smith Street, which was recently thrown open to the public, formally, has been furnished from the first to third floor at a cost of more than $2,000. The directors are indeed grateful to a number of churches and their progressive and public-spirited pastors for their cooperation and financial assistance in assuming the obligations to pay for the furnishings in one room; for the purpose of this organization is to improve the religious, social, moral, physical and intellectual condition of our young men and boys.
The following churches, through their pastors, have pledged $50 to furnish the smaller bed rooms: Bethel Baptist, Rev. J. R. Burdett, pastor; Antioch Baptist, Rev. E. L. Harrison, pastor; St. John Baptist, Rev. H. R. Johnson, pastor; Mt. Zion Baptist, Rev. T. D. Hawkins, pastor; Mt. Vernon M. E., Rev. G. E. D. Belcher, pastor; total pledges from this source, $400.
According to President J. J. Hardway of the board, $50 will pay the cost of furnishing one of the smaller bed rooms and the names of all churches, lodges, organizations, institutions and persons, who have given or will contribute $10 or more for this purpose, will be published from time to time, while the board wishes to thank present and prospective donors to this fund.
BACK FROM LOUISVILLE
Dr. Theodore E. Bryant, one of our leading physicians, who attended the Methodist Episcopal Church, now is station at Louisville, Ky., returned to the session and very inspirational and educational trip. The fact that his brother was elected head of the A. M. E. publishing house at Nashville, Ky., cheered his success.

for Modern Golf Ball
Gene Saranen, the professional golfer's association champion, will introduce a new standard golf ball, said recently, "we see any reason for making a change; the ball we are using now suits me pretty well. Golfers get greater pleasure when they hit a shot than they do from any other shot of the game—therefore, we need to use a more sure? However, I doubt if a ball a little larger and a little lighter will make so much difference in the 'duffer' will be benefited. The bigger ball will give a larger impact and sit up higher on the ground."
BASEBALL CHANGED
SINCE OLDEN DAYS
Frank Leroy Chance, who was compelled to give up the management of the team, was forced to deal with ill health, remanded before leaving for the West that baseball had changed greatly since the days of the great Giants. He was a champion for pennants and two world championships. And he spoke a moutain to Chance was in a position to note the vast change because of the fact that he was away from the game for the first time, and that everybody figure would be his swan song in the summer with the team. He returned to manage the Red Sox in 1925 he was a total stranger to the team, and pitching went into a decline and hitting became the national pastime. The difference upon his return a year ago was in the matter of playing for runs. When he was playing, he was not prince it usually was a case of getting a one-run lead and holding it. It took real pitches to do that, but
As the game is played today one run means nothing. A blonde hone runs through the game and sets a game in the twinkling of an eye. The five ball and the face that holds the ball are most continually with new balls are responsible for this. The result has been high scores, and the sacrifice of the opponent is potent factors in the days of one-run batting, but none falls into disarray. Another chance *Canceled* noticed about the game of the present against that of the past was the change in the attack. The game is now a hard-boiled challenge with them with the iron fat. Canceled naturally would notice this. In his natural disposition we now form a hard-boiled challenge. When *Canceled* and *fines* are spoken in the same breath the name of the opponent is memory. Heisle was a persistent of fender, and Chance was forced to take hundreds of dollars away from him, and then down. Fines didn't bother Heisle was one of those rare players who didn't care about money.

Attractive women everywhere depend upon the St. Clair preparations, so why not you? Nature lavishes upon the young her beauties of hair, yet how few strive to retain it? Beauty of the hair can be retained or maintained with St. Clair preparations. Thousands can testify to this fact. It is no experiment. The results have been proven. Neglect is the great destroyer. SOUTH'S GREATEST WEEKLY NEWSPAPER
Bert L. Ingwerson, first assistant varsity coach at the University of Illinois, has just been elected head football coach of the University of Iowa by the board of athletics. Ingwerson succeeds Howard Jones, who recently resigned to become coach at Trinity college, Durham, N. C.
Hitting Will Decide
Babe Ruth is inclined to believe that all the talk about a revival of baserunning is the
"Speed is a desirable asset in a ball player, but not so much advantage to the opportunities that are offered in the field as well as on the base. With a likely ball still in use, few ball games are going to be decided by a one-run marin. Stealing second base is a one-on-one. The pitching in both major leagues must get much tighter before base running becomes a big factor in deciding ball games."
Sport Notes
Fencing has been added to the list of sports for men at the University of California. . . .
Lalie Firpo, South American heavyweight, plans to enter the auto racing field soon.
Jack Dempsey has received $12,250,000 during the last five years for 39 rounds of fighting.
Football players are to wear rubber suits. In that to mean time out while he is vulcanized?
H. W. Cornstyn of Buffalo, N. X., will captain the Williams College varsity golf team this season.
Center college, with an enrollment of only about 400 students, played football before more than 100,000 fans last fall.
George E. Painter of Pittsburgh, Pa., has spent forty-four years of active competition in the trapshooting sport.
The highest price ever paid for a火箭队 was $240,000 for Botafogu, an Argentine throughout, five years ago.
In Sweden an elk has been broken to harness and has developed into a race, giving fast horses at Stockholm its dust almost every race.
Bilateral play was first introduced into Europe by Knights Templar on their return from the first crusade, in early part of the Twentieth century.
H. E. Hensen, Apollo, Pa. recently purchased the two-year-old trotting colt, great Harvest by the Harvester Bull and will race him in the colt events this year.
Another college team has decided to enter the professional boxing game. He is Fred Roberta, former gridiron and cinder block at Opio-thape university.
H. P. Taylor of the Northwest Pacific Cold association is promoting a boxing competition in conjunction with the Pacific journey at Vancouver, B.C.
The piece, General Watt Jr., 2014, is being extensively studied in the Ohio meetings by his owner, Dr. Warren Hilder, Peterson, Ill. Burt Ogle, Opio-thape, Ill. is to steer the poem.
DIAMOND
PICK-UPS
Umpires' troubles have begun in earnest.
Called stitches were first introduced in baseball in 1885.
Pitcher Earl Willett appears to be the ace of the Detroit pitching staff.
The Cincinnati "Red Stockings" was the first professional baseball club in the United States.
Jack Bentley, former Baltimore southside, is expected to be one of Gland's star players this season.
Pitcher John Wilson has been farmed out to the Ray City Michigan-Ontario team by the White Sox. Brownie
Shorter Ray French was obtained by the White Sox from Brooklyn. He was called when were asked.
Lee Dixon, catcher with Indianapolis of the American association, has been called by St. Paul of the same league.
The Boston catcher has sent Carl John Dongnep and Pitcher Harry Filler to the Waterbury club of the Eastern league.
Kenneth Hogan, recruit outlider, has been earned from the Cleveland club to the Hamilton club of the Michigan-ohio team. Peter Palmer, the millionaire president of Chicago's first professional baseball club, which was organized in 1889. Joe McGinnity, known as the "Iron Man" of the diamond, pitched more than 1,000 games during his 30 years of service in professional baseball.
To insure good behavior, Babe Ruth's contract with the New York Giants shall be held out on him until the end of the season.
Babe Ruth was presented with 100 week-old chicks after the opening game in Boston. The Bambine has somewhat of a farm at Suburb, Mass., and is a chicken farm.
John McGraw, like all other managers, admits that pitching his problems were due to it but the Giants if his team gets even fair support from the twisting staff.
Emake is a remarkable pitcher in more than one way. He holds his position like a Nike infielder and he throws that few grandstand-foul balls, the sort that go into grandstand and then into some fan's pocket.
Kenworthy Returns
William "Kopecke" Kenworthy returns to the Quest league the season as the manager of Portland after being out of that circuit for the past two seasons. In addition to serving as leader of the Kenworthy Kenworthy is also second baseman.

I bought a jar of Exelento Quinine Pomade for the hair and I used it on my face daily it is appled all dandruff, made my hair grow long, soft and fine, and gave it a delightful touch. *Because of the perfectly womens' hair, I managed my skin glimming with health. Rev. Arthur Hobbard, Pastor.
Pastor Hubard returned Saturday morning after closing a successful pe-
vival at Port Arthur. Sunday morning and evening services were well attended. Among the several visitors were Rev. and Mrs. Diggs of Louisiana, an elderly couple, making a missionary tour of Texas. All of the auxiliaries are doing their bit in helping to put over a great program for the Master. The Y.W.A. and Y.M.A. have on a diamond ring contest, which closes Wednesday night, June 4. The teacher-training class is doing nice work; the last examinations several made very creditable. Sunday School and B.Y.P.U. are planning to send the superintendent and president, respectively, to the National Baptist Congress at Cincinnati, Ohio, June 11-16. Mrs. Nettie R. Rhodes, 1007 Grove street, left last Saturday morning for Austin, to attend the graduating exercises of Tillotson College. Her brother, Leroy Goode, is a member of the class. Don't fail to hear the grand musical given in connection with the diamond ring contest Wednesday evening, June 4, 8 o'clock. A special season by the pastor to the Y.W.A. and Y.M.A. Sunday, June 3, 3:00 p.m. Everybody invited.—Reporter.

Smith's Cafe, 411 Milam street, was the scene of the fourth smoker and get-together meeting of the Houston colored hotelmen Wednesday night, and all present pronounced it the best affair of its kind that has been staged here under the auspices of these hotelmen.
Short talks were delivered, viz: "Principles of Service," R. H. Brown; "Building Friendship," "Doc" Homer E. McCoy; "Relation Between Walters and Hussboys," E. L. Brown; "That's It," C. N. Ferguson; "Duties Between Manager, Steward and Headwaiter," V. S. Knighton, Joe Chilater, who gave a vocal number, was forced to respond to an encore. All these talks were good and ably delivered.
The main address of the occasion was delivered by C. F. Richardson, who employed as a theme, "Stay Woke." The speaker urged his auditors to ever be on the alert to render service and to discard those traits and characteristics that tend to render one unfit for doing a larger service to his fellowman, his race and himself. His address was repeatedly interrupted by applause. Sandwiches, Budweiser and smokes constituted the menu.

-Jeremiah's Message to His People.
1. Jeremiah's Solemn Warning to Judah (vv. 1-7).
The Lord commanded him to stand in a conspicuous place in the Temple and proclaim the judgment which was about to fall upon them because of their sins. The object was to provoke them to repentance (v. 8). If they would not repent, God would make the Temple as Shiloh (v. 6). Just as Shiloh was once the dwelling place of the Lord and now fallen into decay and abandoned, so will it be with the Temple. Jeremiah was sent to speak the words which the Lord had told him and not to diminish a word.
1. Jeremiah on Trial (vv. 8-11).
2. The Lord of Arrest (v. 8). It was for faithfully speaking all the Lord had commanded. The one who speaks boldly what God commands shall be opposed. The time-server and self-seeker will not stand for such a ministry. The Isalabs and Jeremiah must suffer.
2. The Charge (vv. 8, 9). It was a capital crime. They said, "Thou shalt surely die." His guilt according to their charge was twofold: (1) Pretending to speak for God; (2) Speaking against the temple and the city. According to their charge he was guilty of blasphemy and sacrifice.
The one who prophesied without Gods command was to be punished by death (24:16); both Jesus and Stephen were also punished by death (Lev. 24:16). Both Jesus and Stephen were also punished by death (Lev. 24:16). The Princes Sit in Judgment (v. 10,11). When the excrement took the ears of the princes they came to the state of state were not entirely in the hands of the priests and elders, but were partly controlled by members of the state were not only made him repeat his message. He Ritualized Dive Commission (v. 12). He had nothing to deny, and threats of death did not deter him plainly told them that in opposing him they were opposing God, for he was forced His Exhortation (v. 18). He urged them to amend their obey God, and God would not bring them. He Gave Himself Up (v. 14). He did not resist the powers of government, and God would not bring them. He Gave Himself Up (v. 14). He did not resist the powers of government, and God would not bring them. He Gave Himself Up (v. 14). He frankly told them that God had sent him, and if they killed him they would be guilty of defending God. We knew that they, but the city and city were
I. Jeremiah Saved (v. 19, 24).
He was acquitted. God is able to restore the people, but not the ranks of those who oppose us.
1. Judgment of the Princes (v. 18).
They pronounced him not guilty and he was sentenced to death. Jeremiah's words convinced them that he was speaking the truth (v. 17, 23).
As the princes represented the king, so the elders represented the people. The elders pleased for Jeremiah and addressed the princes illustration:
1. (Micha) (v. 19, 23). Micha had prophesied against Jerusalem, but King Hezekiah instead of putting him to death, repented and thus added the punishment which was impending. He prophesied against the city and land and thus interred the wrath of Jerusalem from Egypt whence he had died and slew him.
He was not thwarted. Killing God's prophets does not prevent God's judgment, but intervenes it. In the case of Jerusalem, the prophet was added through heeding the words of the prophet, and in the case of Jebokah judgment fell upon the man and matriarch of the prophet.
2. Rescued by Alkham (v. 24). Alkham was able to be able to interfere at such a time.

THE ANTI-WILLIS AGITATION AMONG PYTHIANS!
The Informer has not paid much attention to the wild-eyed talk and vicious propaganda flying thick and fast among Pythian circles in Texas, which have as their objective the overthrow of the incumbent administration headed by W. S. Willis.
Don't fail to witness that stupendous and scandalizing appallment that will take place at the City Auditorium Monday at 11 a.m. Lillian Haskins and sister, Melya Brantley, 405 Richmond street were called to Thompson last Sunday at 11 a.m.
Just whether the fight is being launched against Grand Chancellor Willis per se, or certain members of the cabinet, has been decided?
Miss Mary L. Jones, registrar at P. V. College, who spent the week end in the city, paid our office a short visit last Saturday.
But, as originally stated, this paper has not given any credence or circulation to this agitation, because we know that our people are past masters when it comes to talking at the "big gate" and as "mum" as a clam when it comes to speaking out at the "big
Missella Sims, after several days
illness at her residence, 408 Andrew
Simmons, a graduate of the
teacher at the colored high school,
C. St. Curtain, district manager of
Mississippi Life Insurance Company,
Leftey for a brief business visit to
the school.
It appears that Willis has incurred the wrath, displeasure and condemnation of certain forces in North Texas, not so much because he built a commodious residence in Dallas with other than a colored contractor and builder, but largely due to the fact that he built such a pretentious house and so far outstripped some of the "old timers" and veteran residents of the city on the Trinity.
Dr. G. A. Allen, local physician, left for an overland trip to Ohio. He expected to attend the College for commencement week. $50.00 will be paid to the Negryn Children's Book for Negro children. No contest. Nielsen, Nicholas C. School.
These critics now over that they will take their fight to the forthcoming grand lodge and oust Willis, charging that he is not a race man, though getting a healthy salary from a race organization.
WANTED - Agents to sell town lots in a fast-growing city. We pay large commission. Reeves Realty Company. Box 1253, Munkegue, Okla.
They claim further that some of the members of Willis' cabinet should be in the penitentiary instead of being on the cabinet of the Pythian grand lodge of the Texas jurisdiction, and they assert that the prisoners disregards to the order must go at the Ft. Worth grand lodge.
Mrs. C. C. Reed, 905 San Felice
left last Saturday for Denver, Colo.
from which place she will go to Los
Anaheim to spend the summer
with her husband.
The Informer holds no brief for "Shed" Willis, nor any member of the staff. The Informer is not in a position assumed by some of these fraternal reformers, who also preach one doctrine and practice another, particularly when it comes to supporting and patronizing race enterprises and the business world.
A most wonderful characterization of the ancient and modern civilizations of the city, she wrote, is the pulsation of Langley School at the City Museum. Mrs E. K. Millard has opened a museum devoted to the history of Wilton addition, where she is prepared to teach the Christian dogma in the city.
It may be that some members of the Willis cabinet could be dispensed with without affecting the order, and it may be that some of the charges that are being made against some of them are true, neither of which is for The Informer to say just here; but whatever fight is in the offing or contemplated, the proponents should not engage in willful and libelous misrepresentation and insult the person for whom they are outstreet a grand lodge officer that did not consult them when letting the contract for the erection of his home.
Ben Snoil, 1547 Robin street, who has been ill for 11 days, left Wednesday to enter the Seatly hospital. His wife, Kate, was a speedy restoration to health. Others take the position that the *Salvini*'s salary is too handsome and that the yearly stipend and emoluments of his office are making him affluent, and that the extravagance in official circles must be eliminated if the order is to endure and remain solvent. Perhaps the recital of one or two outstanding and patent facts will show *Salini*'s worth to the Pythian order in Texas and the nation.

When Willis was elected grand chancellor of the Texas order in 1917, it was insolvent and in bad shape. There was internal division, the "brave boys" were deserting the castle halls, and the governor, who had been ill, looked like a thankless and hopeless task imposed upon Willis.

When Willis was elevated to the office of grand chancellor of the fraternity in the Lone Star State, the ranks were being fasty depleted; yet at the end of 1923 there were 21,098 "brave boys" in the order and 11,495 calanheans.

If a man's worth to any cause, organization or institution is measured in deeds and doings, then Willis has undoubtedly wrought well as head of the Texas Pythians, and, if he is to be opposed, let the issue be raised on principles and not on personalities.

No grand lodge officer's every act will please everybody in the jurisdiction at all times, but care and precaution must be exercised in attempting a general house cleaning,让 the cleaners get more than they can wag off it. The Informer has never taken this agitation and propaganda against Willis seriously, for the rank and file of the order know nothing of it. The Informer and the other officers are not going to permit a few malcontents and soreheads to disrupt the order and resent its growth and progress just to satisfy their own interests.
