Bridgeforth, of the Kansas Industrial and Educational Institute, returned recently from Athens, Alabama, where he was called on account of the death of his aged mother, Mrs Jennie Bridgeforth, who died there at the age of 91 years. She was the mother of 13 children children and the family lived on and owned the large plantation on which the mother and father were slaves.
